I have a problem...

"Madam, young master we have arrived." Lael opened the door and fixed the folding step of the carriage to help us go down.

I went down first and my grandmother went down after me. Lael obediently grabbed my stuff and handed them over to the school helper before we could move on.

The place is really busy for a moment, there are lots of students from different nations and all of them are competitors for the spot.

"Remember what I told you, ensure that you will not humiliate the Olphiticus family." My strict grandmother ordered. "The future of our family is in your hands." She continued.

I rolled my eyes with a disappointing expression but I suddenly hid it because my grandmother sternly looked at me.

"If you are not my only choice then I would've given up on you sooner. Go directly to the main hall once we part ways, I don't want to receive news about my only grandson being late for his first assembly."

She walked away without even looking back after her statements. "Why is she even here in the first place?" I asked.

"Perhaps the young master is not aware of the school's guidelines," Lael answered.

"Do you know?"

Lael nodded.

"It is a requirement for students in the early level that their parents or guardians go with them on their first day."

Now I know why my grandmother seems forced to begin with.

"Young master before I forget, if you earned your spot, you will be staying here for a year," Lael added.

"Do you think I don't know that? I'm not a spoiled child Lael." I am pissed that he thinks I'm unaware. He's just the butler of our family, he has to know his place.

Lael just smiled and slightly bowed at me as a sign of courtesy. "I apologize that the young master understood it that way, but I would like to reassure you that it was not of my intention. Madam might come back sooner on the carriage, I bid my temporary farewell to you young master."

I answered with silence, I simply nodded and walked away without looking back.

***

My soul really went back to my younger self. This isn't a dream and everything is real!

"Make sure that you answer them with formality. I don't want to get judged for being unable to raise a respectful child." My grandmother just won't stop ordering me around.

She just can't admit it but she actually failed to properly raise his son and people avoided her for that. Well, I apologize grandmother, but your grandson has become way worst than your failed son in the future.

"Madam, young master we have arrived." Another familiar voice startled me, but this time I felt guilt down my spine.

After a few seconds, an old exquisite man opened the door and fixed the folding step of the carriage.

I knew it, it was our late butler Lael. It has been so long since I last saw him I might burst into tears.

His death was the reason I ran away from our residence.

The place still looks exactly the same as how I see it in my memory. There are so many students who will compete for a spot and I am one of them.

"Remember what I told you, ensure that you will not humiliate the Olphiticus family." My strict grandmother ordered... again "The future of our family is in your hands."

I believe that I was impulsive before, but this body now has the mind of someone in his late twenties, so I don't really feel any remorse against my late grandmother. Oh, I forgot she's still alive this time.

Since I don't really want to complicate things, I'll just make it easier.

"Don't worry grandmother, I will surely pass the test." I expressed a reassuring smile. In return, she gave me an uttered sigh.

"If you are not my only choice then I would've given up on you sooner. Go directly to the main hall once we part ways, I don't want to receive news about my only grandson being late for his first assembly."

She is the same as always, walking away without even looking back after her statements. I kind of missed this feeling.

"Young master, if you successfully earned a spot, you will stay here for a year," Lael stated.

"There is no need to say 'if' Lael, I am sure to earn a spot with flying colors," I reassured him. I acted so badly when I was young, especially in how I treated him.

He is a man of wisdom, and he is the only one who really considered me a young master. He was loyal, and he was a very trustworthy butler in our family.

I really felt guilty towards him. Out of all my wicked schemes, he's the only one I didn't add, setting myself aside. What a lucky man indeed. At least he never gets to see my worst.

Lael just smiled and slightly bowed at me as a sign of courtesy. "The young master seems to act more mature than the usual. Madam might come back sooner on the carriage, I bid my temporary farewell to you, young master."

I smiled, but I still answered with silence...again, I nodded and walked away without looking back.

"Young master, before I forget, expect that you'll only receive messages from me."

I looked back and asked, "Why?" I don't remember Lael telling me this. Maybe my change of act is noticeable?

"Your grandmother will be busy, likewise for your father. I'm afraid they'll have no time to think of you. Apologies in advance if it sounded rude to the young master."

"No, I'm alright. Thank you for taking care of me, Lael."

"I will be going then. I am always one call away, so don't hesitate to call me in need, young master. I wish for you to earn a spot and take care."

Lael went back to the carriage after, and I went to the main hall with the new students shortly.

Phew, I made it on time! My short talk with Lael actually took more than five minutes, so I had to run my way here. I wonder what my grandmother would say if she knew about this, but who knows? Maybe she won't find out, and it won't change anything.

Hmmm, I wonder what the questions are and why is this taking so long? Where is the headmaster obligated to greet students before the selection process? Well, I guess it's a good thing. I can still prepare myself and use my spare time to think of possible questions.

I might have transmigrated back to my old soul, and the scenarios are somehow the same as before, but who would expect a twenty-seven-year-old man to remember the questions asked during the selection process of Central Academy?!

If it was the selection process of Core Academy, I can still faintly remember the thought but this time...

It is worrying me. I need to keep what's happening the same because one action of mine might change the whole future I know and when that happens, I won't be able to fulfill my promise.

The problem is, I can't remember what exactly happened on this day...I'M DOOMED! Entering this academy is the only choice I have to find Lia.

I need to do my best to let us encounter the same way we did before.
