Eat?

After he ran out of the room he came back minutes later with bread and a soup.

He urged me to eat, even helping me on breaking the bread on small pieces.While eating, I was thinking of my plan.

Before running here on Seraphina Empire, I was supposed to be engaged with the crown prince but of course, I didn't let that happen.

However the problem is that my uncle was already the Duke at the time I regressed.That's why I had to escape first.

Even though I have my nanny to trust there, Let's be real, she couldn't do anything to help me right now.I also didn't want to put her in a rough position.

We're both powerless.

Aside from running away, all of the other plans wouldn't work.In my past life, I got to know who my enemies were and who were the spies and there was an awful lot of them.

That's why I couldn't help but not trust anyone.What if they're also my enemy and i just haven't found out about it in my past life?I need to be meticulous if i want to live long enough to enact my revenge.

Regarding my powers, though I awakened the same time i regressed, it still wasn't that powerful.I hardly even use it when i encountered bandits along the way.

Since I couldn't just come here through the main path, the one that connects the Seraphina Empire and Florian Empire , I had to take a path through the forest to cross the border.

While I had the chance to hop on a carriage that traded illegally in and out of the empire, I still had to get out of some point before getting caught.

After being alone, I immediately encountered wandering bandits.They already have their hostage but seeing me...They decided to take me as well. Let's just say that being greedy will cost them death.

I think they're on their way to Florian empire to trade us as slaves but of course I didn't let them.My powers affected them quite well because they let down their guard on a child.

I enchanted them to make them still for seconds so that I could gain the upper hand since It's just me against the five of them.After that I stabbed the one of them with a dagger quickly.

I would've preferred a sword but I only have the dagger my father gifted me.He didn't let me have my own sword and only let me practice with a real one a couple of times.

My swordsmanship was actually great...It just all went to hell when I got engaged to that sick bastard since I had to stop using them so that I could be a 'proper empress'...to hell with that.

I only managed to kill two before the three broke from my powers, like i said it's still just a single drop of water compared to the ocean I managed to have in my past life.

Having been trained like a soldier, It was easy to dodge and defend their attacks.As luck would have it, my body in this life still remembers it.Even though I pale to them in terms of size, I used that to my advantage.

I used enchantment again and killed them more quickly than before.Just like that I killed five bandits on my way here.

As for why i fell off the cliff...I was chased by a pack of wolves.I couldn't use my powers on animals for now so it was completely useless.I also couldn't battle them with just a dagger alone.

It was a pack of wolves for f/cks sake.I was still sane.

I ran and unfortunately met with a cliff.Thankfully the fall wasn't that high but I suffered with cuts and bruises while rolling down the slope and then landed towards the stream with my head bumping on a rock.

Then I met this child.

He continued to watch me as I eat but I got curious, "Have you eaten yet?"

"Ah...Yes, I've already eaten", He answered while nodding.

It doesn't sound like you did.

"Really?",I asked again, dragging my last syllable.

"Yes!",Cassian answers immediately.

I look at him dumbfoundedly and he changed his answer showing how he couldn't really lie that well, "Well, I haven't yet..."

"Then— ah"

I raised a spoon filled with the soup attempting to feed him.To raise an emperor of course he has to be healthy, right?I couldn't afford having a sickly ally.

"No..! I'll eat later.", he refutes.

"Ah.",I said again but more stern this time.

Cassian hesitantly opened his mouth.

After that, I continued to feed him the rest of the soup and the bread since I already ate half of it ...I also don't think I have the appetite to finish it after all.

After the last drop was fed, i put the spoon down and gazed at him.

The light from the window shined his black hair giving it a purple hue.His dark red eye also sparkled on one side while the other was shadowed considering the light was coming from his left.

His cute cheeks suddenly reddened as if he felt my gaze on him.

Suddenly, I unconsciously raised my hand and petted his head—

what—

"You—"

We both froze because of what I did.

I acted impulsively again...

"Sorry, I didn't mean to do that"

I don't know how true my sentence was.For one, I haven't really figured out why my guard keeps on falling in front of him and petting him, really Kyra?

I don't know if this was because I'm so used to charming, enchanting, and using people back when I was hiding that I'm doing it unconsciously now.Such actions of lovely touches were only used by me when needed...but i did do it before on a cat that I had when I went into hiding...

Well, Kyra, he isn't a cat.

So, doing it out of nowhere...this has to stop before it gets out of hand.

"No—I...",He sighed,wanting to say something but then stopped.Cassian suddenly grabbed the tray, stood up and before going out he says, "Please don't open the door, someone might see you in here"

After that he proceeded to walk out.

I was baffled...Why does it feel like I did something wrong?
