12 Saria (1) - 11

A few days had passed since the slave auction, and Saria and the demon girl, who's name I found out was Carman, had started learning how to become a butler and another maid, respectively, and were actually doing pretty well.

I mean, Saria learned fast because she already had a developed elven super mind, and was a pretty decent butler already, having memorized how to do everything in one go.

She basically only had to tailor how she was a butler to my needs, and then she'd be a perfect butler.

On the other hand, Carman, being the little girl she was, still had a ways to go, but she was getting there, albeit, step by step.

Anyways, back to the present, I was currently reading again, as to try and boost my intelligence, when Saria walked in.

I observed her stunning figure: her pale white hair, her jade-like skin, and her ice-blue eyes for a second, before asking,

"Do you need anything?"

"Would it be too much to allow me to use the training grounds?"

"As long as all your duties are fulfilled, then you may do whatever you want. You don't even have to ask me, just check with Char beforehand and she might even give you items to help you"

"Noted, Young Master."

She turned around to leave, but I called to her at the last second.

"Ah! Before you leave, may I ask a favor of you?"

She turned back around, and for some reason, looked at me with a disgusted face.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked, truly curious.

"Are you going to ask of me… to do that?"

"If by that, you mean to train with you, then of course."

"..."

Hearing this, her face grew paler.

"So? What are you waiting for? Let's go train!"

By this point, I had already gotten out of my bed and was right in front of her.

"In another room?"

"Of course the indoor training room! Where else would we train in this nefarious weather?" I asked, looking at her inquisitively.

"O-of course, Young Master."

Like the child I was, I grabbed her hand and quickly ran with her to the training room, pulling her flustered figure behind me.

Entering the training room, she asked,

"Are we really going to do it here?"

"Of course! Again, where else would training be held?"

I then proceeded to turn to the wall, and then started running alongside it.

"W-what are you doing? Young Master?"

"I'm training, what else?"

Hearing this, she finally realized her misconception, and how dumb she had looked and sounded for the past few minutes.

I mean, I had done this on purpose, so I couldn't help but let out a laugh.

"Hahahaha! You really were thinking of something impure, weren't you?"

"I'm sorry, Young Master, for thinking that you were like those other nobles."

Hearing this, I froze in the middle of my run, before turning to look at her.

"Don't, Call, Me, A, Noble."

"I'm sorry young master, I forgot!" She quickly stated, before bowing her head.

Seeing this, my voice softened again and I said, "Don't worry Sari, we all make mistakes ONCE in our lives. Just be sure to not make the same mistake twice."

She raised her head up again, and then we started training.

...

Well, the training went as expected.

She completely eclipsed me in all areas as she ran around the room hundreds of times more than me before proceeding to do body weight exercises by the thousands.

Seeing this, my masculinity was burning with a competitive passion, but it wasn't like I was going to catch up to her anytime soon.

Anyways, by the end of it, I was asking her to teach me.

And of course, she accepted, because, well, she really couldn't do otherwise.

So, when tomorrow came, I started my training.

To understand what I was about to do, you have to understand that I asked Sari to train me as a, "Snow elf would learn when they are a child."

So, now, I was outside in the never-ending blizzard, trying my hardest not to have my feet penetrate the snow, which honestly seemed impossible.

I was also wrapped in 10 layers of clothing that Char had insisted I put on, so that my frail body wouldn't succumb to the cold, but this just made my task all the harder.

I mean, Sari had explained some stuff about how I needed to distribute my body weight evenly across every single atom in my leg, and how I also needed to distribute minuscule amounts of my body weight on every atom in my body so that the air could help hold me up.

But this all just seemed impossible.

Like, I knew that it was possible due to my extensive intelligence as both a characteristic of myself and a stat, but it was extremely hard to translate this theoretical understanding into physical understanding.

So, I tried, again and again and again, always failing each and every single time, but I never gave up.

Sari was also always there by my side, giving me pointers here and there whilst simultaneously training her own body in the cold, as she gradually built up her cold resistance by wearing less and less clothes in this horrid weather.

I spent days in this gray world, without being able to see a few centimeters in front of me, having to wear goggles to block out the snow, as I tried over and over again.

The gray days blurred into weeks, and then months, until finally, I did it.

Over the past months, I had achieved less and less depths that my feet penetrated, until I reached this very moment, as the snow looked like it remained untouched under my feet.

Staying in this state for a second, I couldn't help but yell out,

"I DID ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!"

And, even though I kept shouting, my screams were quickly lost in the torrent of the blizzard, and I was left in silence again.

Well, not exactly silence, but what my brain registered as silence as it had adapted to the sounds of the blizzard ages ago.

Anyways, with this method, I walked, and then ran back to the castle in elation, wanting to tell Sari of my achievement as soon as possible.

But, when I arrived, Char was standing at the front gates with a frown on her face.

Seeing this, I immediately asked, "What's wrong?"

"Sari disappeared during the time that you were outside training."

"What?!!!"
