The Protagonist!

"Mo Fang," a frail old man called out from his sickbed in a dimly lit room filled with a strong medicinal scent.

Beside the bed knelt a young man named Mo Fang, tears streaming down his face as he held his father's hands.

"Father," he said solemnly. His father managed to turn towards him, a smile appearing on his aged face. "Mo Fang, you're 18 now. It's time for you to enter the world of dual cultivation."

"Yes, Father, I understand. I've learned a technique from Uncle Jones. Once I join the Heavenly Squirt Sect, I'll work hard to master it and bring honor to our Mo clan."

The old man smiled sadly, saying, "Unfortunately, I won't be able to see you grow into a fine warrior and bring pride to our family, my son."

"Father, don't say that. Once I get into the heavenly squirt sect and pass the exam that will be held in eight months time. I'll learn alchemy and forge a pill to cure your disease, you just have to have faith in me and wait father."

"I'm glad you have the sense of responsibility like myself, your mom would be proud anywhere she is right now." He smiled weakly, "But, my time has come to leave this earth. Remember your promise to me, right?, the one we always promised each other when you were young?"

"Yes father I remember but I don't wanna do it, I can't. I don't even want to think about doing it to you."

His father had made him promise that after he dies, his body should be buried at the end of the village mountain and a red ginseng should be planted nearby.

A few hours after this meeting, a young man could be seen close to the only mountain in Yellow Rice village.

The sky was cloudy and rain dropped constantly.

Mo Fang covered a big hole with stones, tears constantly dropping from his eyes.

"Father, I promise to grow stronger and defeat that greedy merchant that did this to you!"

He swore with a clenched fist. At that moment, the sky rumbled and thunder grumbled!

At the heavenly squirt sect, a young man rose up from the bed abruptly.

"Father!!" He yelled, causing the lady lying on the bed with him to lift her head in confusion.

The young man was no other than Mo Fang, he is the only surviving male in the Mo Clan, a clan that was suddenly reduced to just two small families after a war with a group of evil merchants.

After the death of his father, Mo Fang has spent his time cultivating, growing stronger in martial arts, training soul techniques and even getting good partners to dual cultivate with. He would end the life of the evil merchants that caused the demise of his clan and the death of his father.

"Mo Fang, what is it? The same nightmare?" Asked the pretty young lady, she has short black hair and a fairly pretty face.

If one looked at them, they might mistake Mo Fang for the girl cause he looked prettier, the only contrast was the oranges on her chest.

Mo Fang looked at her with a smile on his face, "Yeah, same nightmare."

She sighed, "Mo Fang, at this point, I think you should forget about that memory and focus on getting stronger. Your two aunts are ill and you need a good knowledge of alchemy to heal them, the sect exam is in one month, I'm sure you will pass and get the number one reward which is a pill that can cure your two aunts?"

"I don't wanna forget about it, those evil merchants must pay, I will get into the sect and find the son of the bastard that killed my father." Mo Fang swore.

"Are you sure he is really here in the heavenly Squirt Sect?"

"Yes! According to my resources, yes. However, he only left me with that simple answer that that bastard has a son here, I have to do the other investigation by myself."

The young lady sighed softly, concern evident on her face. "Mo Fang, I understand your pain, but dwelling too much on revenge might cloud your judgment. You have responsibilities here in the sect and to your family. Your aunts need you."

Mo Fang's eyes softened slightly as he looked at her. "I know, Ling Wei. It's just... I can't let go of what happened. I need to find closure. But you're right. I won't neglect my duties."

Ling Wei nodded in understanding. "Promise me you'll focus on the sect exam. Once you're in, you can conduct your investigation discreetly. The sect has resources that might aid you."

Mo Fang nodded in agreement. "I promise, I'll do my best in the exam. And then, I'll pursue this matter without neglecting my duties here."

Ling Wei smiled, a hint of relief in her expression. "That's all I ask, Mo Fang. I'll support you, but don't forget, vengeance won't heal the pain completely. But getting stronger and finding justice might ease it a little."

"Thank you, Ling Wei. Your support means a lot to me." He smiled

"How about dual cultivating with me one more time as an appreciation." She smirked cheekily.

Mo Fang wrapped his hands around her and both partners engaged in a steamy gentle dual cultivation.
