Zephyr's Fury

[ Third Person POV ]

Mariejois

The Five Elders were currently meeting within their room. The air inside the meeting room was tense as they had just received some rather devastating news. 

"How the hell did they manage to leave Mariejois without us knowing?!?!?!" Saint Nusjuro growled furiously.

"We need to bring them back immediately before the worst case scenario happens!" Saint Warcury declared.

"They are way too far for us to get to them immediately and drag them back, we should send reinforcements instead." Saint Mars noted.

The meeting room was filled with arguments as they all were trying to make a logical decision that would ease the current tense situation. 

Earlier on the week, a certain World Noble from the Rosward family suggested that they visit Falke island to have a pick of the beautiful women that lived there; a couple of other World Nobles seemed to like that idea and joined him. That would have been fine if it was any other island, especially if it were an affiliate of the World Government; but it wasn't. Instead, it was one of Whitebeard's territories that he had laid claim on. 

It wasn't a secret that Whitebeard protected his territories viciously. As he had only appointed one person to patrol the entire territory. A man who could go toe to toe with Big Mom, another titan who dominated the seas of the New World. 

"Code name: Storm Dragon...We still haven't even gotten a first name out of him. This is going to be a disaster." Saint Jaygarcia Saturn murmured. 

There weren't many people who could have stood up against him. Even the Admirals had some troubles when facing him. Many would have thought that this would lead to another blow to the World Government's reputation; well, except one.

"I think that this would be a perfect oppurtunity." Saint Ju Peter opposed. The rest of the Five Elders fell silent as they listened to what he had to say.

"The world has fallen into turmoil simply because they have forgotten what the World Government, what we will do should they cross a line. I suggest we send Admiral Sengoku and Vice-Admiral Garp as reinforcements for the World Nobles." Saint Ju Peter suggested.

He didn't let the others speak as he continued, "This way, we will not only be able to capture Codename: Storm Dragon, but we will also send a message to the world: We do not fear Whitebeard and his crew." 

The rest of the Five Elders went quiet when they heard this. It was an attractive proposal, if they could get their hands on Code Name: Storm Dragon, they would be able to find out what devil fruit he consumed. Moreover, they could try and control him for their own benefit. Along with retaining the World Government's reputation.

However, do they dare? Would they risk a war with a man in his prime who had the power to destroy the world? If they decided to follow through with this plan and lost, the reputation of the World Government would be in the gutters for a long time.

Instead, one of the Five Elders; Saint Warcury suggested something different. 

"Your idea carries too much risk we cannot account for. Instead, I suggest we send one Admiral along with a Buster Call on the Falke island. This way, we can avoid tarnishing our reputation should they die. Moreover, it will send a message to the World what happens when they mess with the World Nobles."

Saint Nusjuro seemed dissatisfied with one aspect of Saint Warcury's proposal, he asked, "What about Whitebeard?"

"Wouldn't the deaths of the World Nobles be enough? Let's not forget that they had left Mariejois without our permission. If the World Nobles continue to performing stupid and secretive acts like this, how will we ever have order in the world? Let them be an example for the rest of them. They've had it coming for a long time." Warcury countered.

"Seconded" Saint Mars declared.

"Seconded" Saint Jaygarcia Saturn declared.

"Seconded" Saint Ju Peter declared.

"Seconded" Saint Nusjuro declared.

Just like that, the fates of the World Nobles within the ship heading to Falke island were sealed.

Marineford

Inside Fleet-Admiral Kong's office, Zephyr slammed his fist down and broke the sofa. 

"HAVE THOSE MORONS FINALLY LOST THEIR HEADS?!?!?!" Zephyr's voice boomed throughout the entire building.

The air within the room was very sombre, they had just received orders from the World Government: They were to initiate a Buster Call to Falke island, and this expedition would be led by Admiral Zephyr.

Asides from all the innocent lives that were about to be lost as a result of this order. They were about to lose even more troops because they were about to take on Code Name: Storm Dragon, a terrorizing name across the New World. 

This did not bode well for the marines, it would be naive thinking that things would be okay just because Admiral Zephyr was going to be there. Someone with devastating powers like the Storm Dragon required very careful preparation: preparation that they didn't have because they were ordered to execute this order immediately.

That's what made Admiral Zephyr angry, it was already bad enough that they were going to massacre thousands of innocents. However, they were going too far involving innocent soldiers as well. This attacked Zephyr's sense of justice, he knew that there was no true justice behind the World Government's actions; but rather a scheme plotted by them in an attempt to save face out of a dire situation.

Kong looked on solemnly, he normally wouldn't question the orders of the Five Elders; but this stunt even had him questioning their integrity. However, he wouldn't question their decision. He looked at Zephyr before saying,

"Zephyr, you must go. The World Government has already passed down their orders" Zephyr glared at Kong at that statement.

"No I won't! Everyone in this room knows that this is going to be a massacre of innocents! Tell me, who exactly is going to benefit here? Because I know for a fact that there is no justice behind this order!!" Zephyr spat, he had unintentionally spoke everyone's minds who were in the room.

"Zephyr! You dare disobey an order from the World Government?!" Sengoku yelled back at Zephyr, however, even he felt that this was tugging at his moral compass.

"Don't give me that crap Sengoku! Do you not care about the lives of our men?!" Zephyr hissed back at Sengoku. It seems that a fight would be erupting pretty soon if Kong hadn't stopped it.

"Relax, all of you. We're not trying to start a war with Whitebeard, that would be stupid; Even the Five Elders know this." Kong started as he tried to pacify the situation. 

"We're only bombing the island, no troops will be landing on the site. Think of it as a show of power, in and out. CP0 will pick up the bodies of the Nobles," Kong finished silencing the already tense room. 

"What about him? Do you think he will be satisfied?" Garp questioned, everyone knew exactly who he was talking about : Whitebeard.

"Whitebeard is too far to make it in time, Code Name: Storm Dragon will probably be on the scene. We will also be able to test the extent of that man's power" Kong replied.

By then, it seemed that Zephyr's rage had been quelled. Although it was only for that moment, he grabbed his coat and stormed off the office without saying a word. The rest of the people within the room could only look on and sigh.

Whether it was right or wrong had failed to be relevant. Instead, the question that had the world on a choke-hold was: Would the Whitebeard Pirates go to war about it?
