An Unexpected Development

Rayleigh and I had fought for an entire day and it went on till around midnight, I think. He praised my skills, telling me that I would become an unstoppable force in the future. The only thing I could do in response to that is thank him sincerely, after all, if I really wanted to get technical. He was my teacher, although it was indirectly, if I hadn't remembered what he had told Luffy while he trained him, I wouldn't have been able to successfully start training with Armament or Observation haki. So I would remain eternally gratefull to him for that. We reached the camp, only to find it in an absolute wreck, I could feel Rayleigh tremble from all the way where I was. He eventually let out a small sigh before trudging on to where Roger and Whitebeard sat.

Roger and Whitebeard were laughing and talking about something before they stopped to look at us. Roger, smirking after taking a swig from his mug asked, "So? Who won the fight?" When Rayleigh indicated that he had won. Roger gave out a hearty laugh before taking another swig of alcohal. Whitebeard invited me to sit by his side while he and Roger continued their conversation they were having before we arrived. It was quite a peaceful time, looking around I could see pirates from the two different factions laughing and drinking along with each other.

Eventually, I got tired of watching them and reverted my eyes back to Roger and Whitebeard. It would seem that Roger was planning to have a direct confrontation with the Rocks pirates in three weeks at their main base. Matter-of-fact, he was actually on his way to Hachinosu Island, where Rocks claimed his territory was.

Suddenly, Whitebeard denden moshi begun to ring. Whitebeard, suprised that anyone was calling him, picked it up with no hesitation. The snail slowly begun to change form, its head begun to sprout black locks, its eyes took on a rather malicous gleam in them, and it made an all-too-familiar smile looking at Whitebeard. Rocks D. Xebec, Whitebeard's captain, let out a menacing chuckle before addressing Pops. "Get your ass to God Island in West Blue in a week!! XEHEHEHEHEHE!!! Some World Nobles will be buried by the end of this month!!" And with that the phone hung up just as promptly as it rang.

There was a tense silence that Roger, Pops, Rayleigh and I shared after the phone hung up. I could only thing to myself, 'it's finally happening! The God Valley Insident!!!!' Whitebeard got up from the ground before getting up and going to his crew. It looks like he was going to order them to stay here for the mean time. Roger's face looked solemn as he digested the news. If the entire Rocks Pirate crew was going to be there, he wouldn't have enough strength to take Rocks on and the Rest of his Cadres. He got up from the ground too, and after dusting off his pants he walked over to his side of camp before grabbing a denden moshi.

He dialed up a number and waited for the other line to pick up. Slowly, a spiky haired top and a scar formed just under the snail's face. Garp, a Vice-Admiral for the marines, picked up the phone and asked in an imposing manner, "Who is this?! Answer me before I hang up!" Roger, who had a few skirmishes with Garp in the past had somehow managed to find Garp's denden moshi's number.

Roger replied, "It's been a while Garp! I thought that I would call and tell you that I'm on my way to west blue. I wonder where I will be going?" Roger laughed before hanging up. It seemed that he wanted to hint the marines that something big was about to happen in West Blue. Right after he hung up, he ordered his pirate crew to start packing and to prepare to sail to West Blue. Roger's Pirate crew responded with a resounding cheer before promptly getting ready to leave the island that would be known as Punk Hazard in the future.

Whitebeard's orders, however, wasn't greeted with the same enthusiasm as Roger's were. There were a lot of protests coming from them. Though I couldn't hear what exactly was being said because I had remained seated at the same spot Roger and Pops left me, one thing was for sure: They would not stay still while Pops sailed to God Valley. I slowly got up and began to go to Whitebeard's camp, the pirates were still protesting over his orders, and just as he was about to enforce it. I stopped him and gave him a suggestion.

"Why....don't you...bring them along?" I suggested. If the marines were going to be focusing solely on God Valley, it was going to be hectic trying to rely on Roger or someone for an escape plan. This way, we can just start our voyage directly without worrying about the rest of the crew. Whitebeard looked at me before questioning, "Why would I take them to a marine infested island?" I could only reply to him,"For an...easy escape plan.." I started, "We....can't trust...anyone in the...battlefield." I yawned subconciously, damnable sleeping disease. I kept going, "This way....We can have.....a ship to board....when its time to escape" Whitebeard remained unconvinced, I guess he didn't like the fact that there would be nobody strong enough to defend the ship. Discovering this, I decided to throw Pops an olive branch by saying, "I'll....protect the ship.....in your stead" Whitebeard seemed to accept my proposal and gave out new orders to sail to West Blue, causing the pirate crew to cheer for joy.

The journey to West Blue would take a week at best if we were to stop for supplies. However, since we were sailing along with the Roger Pirates, we managed to manage our Rations so we could get to the island as soon as possible. Instead of getting there in a week, we managed to get there in just about six days. Arriving on God Island in the afternoon of the sixth day, Whitebeard looked solemnly at the island. Roger didn't look any positive either, they both stood at the bow of their respective ships and stared at the island where the showdown would soon begin.
