Chapter 37 (The First Step)

Inside a mall, Asami and Yuna are walking as they pass through shops.

*Whistling sounds*

"Excuse me miss Asami, could you stop whistling? It's awkward." Yuna requests kindly.

"Oh, I'm just bored. Sorry whistling."

"And I also have a question."

"Yes?"

"What are we doing here?"

Asami looks at Yuna offended and sighs.

"We are here to buy you some cloths. Can't you see the hole?"

"Hole?"

"Look at your shirt."

Yuna looks down and sees a small bullet size hole on her shirt which is also present on the same side from behind.

"What's this..."

"You don't remember?"

"Yeah, my memory is still blurry."

"Do you remember any pain?"

"Kinda sorta."

"Want me to tell what happened?"

"Sure."

"So do you remember watching Yamato fight?"

"Yeah, he and the tall guy."

"Yes, then do you remember when the bullets were raining on him?"

"I am not sure but I do think something like that happened."

"Okay, so while he was deflecting or dodging the bullets, the sniperers use a trick and shot an unpredictable, unavoidable bullet. He couldn't dodge it and that when you came in."

"Huh? What did I do?"

"You took the bullet on yourself. Watching you saving his life and nearly dying, he triggered something in him and his power somehow increased and he killed all of those shooters."

"I took the bullet? WAIT HE KILLED THEM?"

"You are more worried about him huh?"

"Even if I got hit, I don't see a sign of it."

"That's because I healed it." Akari says.

"HUH? From Where did that voice come from?" Yuna fearfully says.

"It came from inside you."

"Who are you?"

"I am the spirit Yamato sent to you. I was the one who saved your life upon the request of Yamato. I am the source to his magic."

"Oh, so now you are in me? Means who can take control of me too?"

"Yeah and surprisingly, I can do it easily. For Yamato, it was hard to even look in his memories and with full strength I could only take over him for 5 seconds, that's how powerful his resistance is. But for you, you are weak. Once I get the orders, I'm gonna teach you and train you well. I don't want a weak vessel after all."

"You are rude. And what do you mean command? Are you his servant?"

"I am not, I just can't do anything with no information in this world. So I will ask for every detail from him first."

Asami looks at Yuna confusingly as for her, Yuna looks like she's lost in her thoughts. Asaim then asks.

"Yuna? You there?"

"Huh? Oh yeah, sorry."

"Anyway, I got a question for you." Asami says.

"What is it?"

"How do you know Yamato?"

"How do I know him? What do you mean?"

"What is your relationship with him?"

"Oh umm, we are friends. Well it might mean more for him as I'm his first friend after he died....."

"He? Who died?"

"He had a friend named Yahiro, he also died while protecting Yamato. At that time, Yamato was just new to his abilities I think and couldn't do anything more. He lost him that day."

"Oh...."

"Yeah, and now, how do you know Yamato?"

"Ohh, he's my fiance."

"What?"

"Just kidding. We just met in a business meeting. I got interested in him as he saved me to very unnaturally and I discovered his identity and now I'm helping him in any way I can."

"Oh..."

"Hey, what about this shirt?"

Yuna looks at the shirt with bright eyes and says.

"This looks so good. But the price though."

"Don't worry I'll pay for it."

They get inside the shop and come out with total changed dress.

"Thanks for buying this whole dress though I only wanted a shirt." Yuna says delightfully.

"Don't worry about it."

*STRIKE.*

"Hey girl, he's awake." Akari says.

"Who's?"

"Yamato"

"How do you know?"

"The sage sent me a message. Let's go to him."

"Okay.."

"What's wrong Yuna?"

"Ma'am Asami, he's awake. Let's go."

"Oh okay.,"

They both rushed out of the mall and sit on the car waiting for them.

In about 5 minutes, they reached the place where Yamato was resting.

Yuna runs in the room, smashes the door and sees Yamato waiting Infront of him.

"Yamato..."

"Yuna..."

She jumped on Yamato and hugged him devastatingly.

"I thought you would never wake up." She cried.

"I am so glad you are safe Yuna. I lost my composure when I saw you bleeding so fast. I thought I'd loose you as well. I broke all my limits and my heart couldn't take it..."

"Don't do any thing stupid like that again. I'll help you in any way I can so please depend on me a little more."

"I will.."

They both were crying as they hugged each other tightly.

"You both sure are living your moment huh?"

Asami said.

"Yamato, are you really a human?" Akari asks.

"I am pretty much a human. Why you ask?"

"You could survive without your heart beating for like 3 minutes. And not only survive, you could fight as well."

"That was just in the heat. And maybe luck."

"Don't ever release your limiters again."

"Okay, sure will not."

The room goes silent for a moment and only the cries of Yuna were heard.

Yamato pushes Yuna gently.

"I have to talk to you parents." He said.

"Why?"

"Because you are going to be with me."

"What?"

"I'll explain the details later. So take me to your house for now."

"Okay.."

Yamato picks up his mask and puts it in his pocket.

"What's that for?" Yuna asks.

"You'll know sooner"

He went to her house and ringed the bell.

"Coming!!!" A voice come that looked like of her mom.

She opens the door and looks at Yamato and Yuna with shock.

"Oh Yuna did you got yourself a boyfriend?" She asked while smirking.

"NO!! I mean....JUST NEVERMIND." she yelled with a red face.

Yamato laughed a little and then got inside

"So what brings you here?" A voice comes from behind.

"Oh hi dad." Yuna said calmly.

"How have you been Yuna?" Her dad asks.

"Just fine."

"And who's this boy you brought along? Is he your boyfriend?"

"NO! HE'S JUST A FRIEND." she yelled again.

"Haha, your family is fun Yuna." Yamato says with a laugh.

"So what brings you here young man?" Her father asks Yamato.

"Dear, you should be a little soft. That's no way to treat a guest. How about introducing ourselves first." Her mother intrupted.

"Oh yeah I totally forgot. I am Makaro Kabaya. And that's my wife Asu Kabaya. It's a pleasure to meet you." Mr. Makaro says.

"Oh the pleasure is mine, I'm just here for a bit. I just wanted to say something to you guys." Yamato says

"What is it?" He asks.

Yamato pulls out the mask from his pocket and wears it.

"Don't tell me....."

Yamato then shifts to form 1 and uses fire magic to prove..

"So you really are that guy.....but why are you here?" Mr Makaro asks astonishingly.

"I want to confess something."

"What?"

Yamato looks at Yuna while she nodded.

"I want your daughter to be a part of my team."

"And why would you want that?"

"Well, to be honest, she won't be alive at this moment."

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN!?" her dad shouted.

"Dad calm down, he's correct" Yuna said as she calmed her father.

"She was severely injured by a bullet which went through her. I used my power to heal her but if she is away from me, she might die."

'the real reason is that Akari still is taking mana from me to survive.'

"So if you go far, she'll die? Do you mean you want to have her with you forever?"

"No, the healing will complete in some years or maybe months. Till then, I want her to be with me all the time."

"What about her safety?"

"I'll be her bodyguard. And will provide her with assistance too."

"And her requirements?"

"Don't worry about that either. She's a good friend of mine so of course I'll do everything I can to keep her happy."

Her father sighs and says...

"But I would want to meet her every then and now."

"Don't worry, she'll go to school with me, come back with me and if you want to discuss anything with me, I'll always be with her."

"Okay than, I grant you with the permission but you have to take the responsibility."

"Okay sir."
