Chapter 176 Am I not your fiancee?
Later when the two went to bed, Li Fei failed to sleep because she had overslept during the day. She looked at Jin Liwei who was holding her and he was fast asleep. On normal occasions, she would have disturbed him from his sleep but she decided not to because he looked to be tired. Thinking about it, she couldn't believe that from today onwards, this was how they were going to sleep and wake up. She closed her eyes to force sleep and a long while later, she breathed evenly.
The next day around noon, Li Fei got dressed and asked the chauffeur to take her to a restaurant. Getting some food, she walked back to the car and on sitting, the chauffeur asked," Where to Ma'am?" "To Jin Corps," she answered and he started the car.
Reaching the top floor of the skyscraper, Li Fei caught sight of Bolin in his cubicle and she walked to it. "Bolin," she called as she approached him and on turning, he saw her.
"Oh! How are you been the apple of my eye, my beloved- " He stopped the moment he remembered that she was the CEO'S woman and he swallowed his words.
"You are most welcome Ma'am," he spoke to her formally.
She rolled her eyes and said," Come on. Ain't we friends anymore?"
"I don't think Mr CEO will like it if I flirt with his woman especially considering that he is in a bad mood," he said. "Bad mood? What happened?" she asked. "He received complaints from some clients about the delay in service and he immediately called for a meeting. He was so pissed and he's still angry up too now," he told her. "Okay. Is he busy?"she asked and he shook his head," Please get in. I know you will be able to pacify him," he said and she chuckled lightly, waving her hand.
"Excuse me," she said and walked towards the office.
She knocked on his door a couple of times but didn't get any response. A while later, she decided to open the door and her eyes met with his cold ones. Seeing that it was her, the coldness dissipated in a second and got replaced with warmth.
"May I come in?" she asked looking at him. "Of course. Why did you knock?" he asked. She got in and closed the door behind her.
Walking inside and placing the lunch pack on the table, she said," I thought you were busy." "You know that everything else can wait with you," he said closing his work. "You don't seem to be in a so good mood. What happened?" she asked walking to stand behind him.
"Employees messing up that's all. Everything is sorted though," he said pulling her to sit on his lap. "What's with the surprise visit? Miss me already that you can't wait for me to return home?" he asked playing with a strand of her hair.
"You might say that. But before anything, I brought lunch. Let me first serve you before it gets cold," she said. He flashed a mischievous smile and said," Serve me indeed." With that, he dipped his head and captured her lips with his. He assaulted her lips and by the time he released them, they were slightly swollen.
"Will you behave Mr Jin Liwei! We are at the office," she playfully scolded him. "You think I care? If it weren't for the present situation, I would have taken you here," he let her know and she internally groaned in frustration. Why was he always rubbing it in her face that he couldn't take her? Would one time be of big deal?
"Let's have lunch then," he said and she got off him walking towards the table.
In the middle of the food, Li Fei's phone rang and she saw that it was a video call from her mother. She contemplated on answering but she later did. "Hey Mom," she smiled waving at her. "Hello FeiFei, how are you?" Li Mei asked. "I'm very good Mom. As for you, I can tell that you've never been better," said Li Fei. She saw that her mother was sitting at the beach side sunbathing. "Yes, I'm having so much fun here. Although I came with my friends, I wish you tagged along," she said.
"I understand. Don't think about anything else and just enjoy your time mother," she replied.
"Where are you? You seem to be in an office," she said. "Yes uh... I'm at Jin Corps," she replied. "You started to work there?" "No. I came for some issues," she informed. "Okay. I will leave you now," she said before hanging up.
After the food, Li Fei took a seat opposite him and said," I came because I wanted to discuss something with you. I want to open up a fashion designing brand. I've always wanted to do it but with everything that has been going on, I couldn't settle down but now that everything is in control, I want to go for it. What do you think?"
"I think it is a good idea. When do you want to start?" he asked. "As soon as possible. I don't want to be sitting home," she said.
"Alright then. I'm here to support you in everything you may need," he said and she nodded before saying," I know. I have the best boyfriend in the whole world."
"Just that? Am I not your fiancee?" he asked. "Not until I have a ring on my finger," she said and he rolled his eyes before checking in the drawers and got a golden card. "It will help you to get everything that you need. Don't limit yourself," he said putting it on the table. "The offer is so tempting but I will have to decline. I have saved for this project," she said. "You're not thinking that I will let you use your savings, do you? What is the point in me working if I can't provide for you?" he asked clearly displeased.
