The Daughter of the Light

When Annalise woke up the next morning, she found the other side of the bed empty as Kenric had already left. She looked outside the window and noticed the clear sky and the cool breeze that was being accompanied by the soft morning sunlight.

The view outside was completely opposite to the dark stormy night that had just passed. Though she didn't ask any of the Lords to confirm it, she was still pretty sure that the weather of the previous night had something to do with one of her husbands - most likely Damien.

As her eyes wandered around her bedroom, she noticed how lively and cozy it had become in the past half month compared to when she first came to live here. Her gaze traveled further over the bookshelf, the cabinets, and vases, and then finally over the vines that were covering a major portion of the room and that's when her eyes caught sight of something.
