"Can I accompany Prince Izaak to his cottage?" Verena requested, holding a basket in her hand. "I'd like to greet Prince Magnus and Princess Alora," she added humbly.

Izaak glanced at his friend, Darcy Sigrid, who intervened, "Verena, not today."

"Magnus prefers not to have visitors unless he specifically invites them. I'll need to check with my brother first to see if Miss Verena can visit him," Izaak explained. He was aware that allowing Verena to accompany him could potentially anger Magnus.

"I understand," Verena agreed to the prince's suggestion. She curtsied to him and walked away. 

"Two years ago, when the King requested proposals for Prince Magnus, my father sent one upon Verena's request," Darcy explained to Izaak.

"Magnus is married now. He's not interested in any other woman," Izaak clarified to him.
