102 A Vampire Hunter

Magnus emerged from the washroom with his hands on his back. His eyes fell upon Alora, who was now seated on the bed with her back rested against the pillow. 

"Magnus, I didn't know it would have poison," Alora initiated speaking while fidgeting with her fingers. She still felt low in energy and closed her eyes for a few seconds. 

"Lie down and get some rest," Magnus said in his cold voice. 

"Where are you going?" Alora knew that her husband was upset with her foolishness. She again brought her hand to her neck, suppressing the sound of pain that could have escaped her mouth. 

"I need some fresh air," Magnus said and left the room, closing the door from the outside. 

Alora sighed as she was confirmed now that Magnus was angry with her. She lay on the mattress again and hit her forehead lightly. "How could I be so foolish to eat a wild berry?" she muttered.
