Singing Audition (3)

The next evening, Damien got dressed then he went downstairs to see Alicia also dressed in the new clothes he bought for her. she was eating cereal with Jessica.

After their breakfast, Damien took Alicia into his car and drove to R.E

It's been so long since he went there. He parked his car and went in with Alicia. he saw other kids who looked older than her practicing their voice but he just ignored them.

He went into the elevator and pressed the 3rd floor button which was where Iris office was and the audition room.

The elevator opened and they went to the audition room. The one person he didn't want to see was sitting in front as the judge.

"Iris." Damien said while a lady led him to sit down and she took Alicia backstage.

Damien was sitting patiently when the audience lights went out and the lights were only on to the stage and the judge table.

The Judges were Iris, Tiana and Darby. Tiana and Darby were Iris sisters.

Darby was the second daughter while Tiana was the third.

They were all models but Iris was the only singer and Model.

"And..... Action!" a man yelled and the host went on stage wearing a black and brown designers suit. The audition was showing live on TV

"Good Evening everyone. What a wonderful day, a massive audition will be held right here in a few minutes for upcoming kids singers.

The winner of this audition will be announced tonight and the winner will become a star by doing a hit music video with one of our Judges." The host said "I forgot to introduce myself. my name is Samuel but just Sam will be better. " he said

"Now let's introduce our Judges. first super model and singer. the most influenced Miss Iris Robbert" Sam said and the lights went to her while the audience clapped and cheered for her

"Next Darby Robbert who is also a model." he said and the audience clapped.

" And Tiana Robbert also a model" he said and they clapped.

Backstage, Alicia was listening to Sam and she smiled widely when he called Iris who was her idol.

'I have to win for dad and I really need to sing with Iris" Alicia thought as she took a deep breath.

She was performing Last because she was the last to register.

While the host called on the first performer. She sang well. The performers were just twenty and when it reached Alicia's turn,

She confidently walked in and saw her dad giving her thumbs up. it was the first time she saw him smiling.

"What's your name?" Iris asked her and Sam gave her a mic

"Alicia Williams." She said and Iris froze a bit.

'Williams? wait isn't she the girl Damien was with at the restaurant. is Damien here?' she turned back searching for him with her eyes and their eyes met each other.

They kept staring at each other until Tiana shoved Iris a bit.

"What the fuck girl." Tiana said and she regained herself and stared back at Alicia.

'Why does she look like me. we have the same hazel eyes. Was Damien lying about her not being my daughter?' Iris asked herself again before realizing she was doing a live show and everyone was staring at her.

"I'm sorry, just a bit carried away. Alicia right?" She asked and Alicia nodded.

"How old are you? " she asked

"I'm 5 years old. I just turned 5 on Thursday." She smiled and Iris calculated the day she gave birth to her baby and Thursday was her child's birthday and she was going to be five years old

"She's my daughter. Damien lied to me." Iris said to herself

"So you can sing now." Iris said and Alicia started singing one of Iris song.

Iris couldn't help but blush when she realized Alicia voice was the exact replica of hers.

The entire audience went quiet and suddenly started whispering.

"She sounds so much like Iris. she even look like Iris." A lady beside Damien said to a man but Damien didn't care he just smiled while listening to Alicia.

When Alicia was done singing. The entire audience started clapping and cheering for her.

"You're so talented." Darby said

"Thanks." Alicia said

" We found a winner. " Tiana said and everyone cheered again as they announced Alicia as the winner then the host went to her.

"Alicia, since you sang Iris song perfectly and you look so much like her why don't you do a music video with her.? " Sam said and Alicia smiled

" I'd love to. If my Dad let's me." Alicia said then she turned to Damien and smiled again.

"Is your parents here?" Sam asked. "Just my Dad." she said

" Where's your mom? " Sam asked and she became sad then Damien went in stage and carried Alicia up.

"Mind your business" Damien said to Sam

"Iris, isn't that Damien? " Darby and Tiana asked at once but she didn't reply.

"Let's go and eat ice cream." Damien said and she smiled

"Sure daddy." Alicia said and they left the room.

Iris ran after them and caught up with them at the hallway.

"Wait up." Iris said and they turned to her.

"Damien, we have to talk." Iris said "Talk about what? I'm in a hurry" Damien said

"Fine. you can leave but bring Alicia here next week" Iris said and he nodded and left.

"Dad are you friends with Iris. she's a superstar" Alicia asked as they got into the car

" Yes but we're no longer friends. something happened but forget about it" Damien said
