312. Ready Anytime
Mauve snuck a glance at Jael as they sat for the last meal. They had ended up staying outside until it was almost time for the last meal.
The table was fairly quiet, Haney was not seated and she was made aware he might not be back until two nights from now.
As she turned to look at him, she met his eyes and he smirked at her. Mauve turned away immediately, afraid that she might let out an inappropriate giggle.
There was a warm feeling in the pit of her stomach and it was spreading everywhere. She didn't want the feeling to end and even as doubt creeped into her mind, she pushed it away.
Mauve said her thanks as the last meal ended and held onto the hand Jael stretched out to her. He pulled her to her feet and pressed her against his body.
Mauve blushed and turned her gaze away from the table, she was certain that everyone was looking at them. He headed for the door, leading the way.
