133. Going Back Home

Mauve tried to tie her hair up. It was harder than she had imagined and no matter what she did, it refused to obey her commands. She groaned and scoffed.

"Are you sure you don't need my help?" Jael offered as he leaned against the wall staring at her.

"Jael," she said softly. "Have you ever helped someone with their hair before?" She asked, exasperated. She was annoyed that he was talking to her even though he could clearly see her struggling.

"No, but there is a first time for everything."

"That's what I thought about the horse," she said with a sneer.

He walked forward, "Aren't you a swellhead?" He said and kissed her cheeks.

"You are not helping!" She cried. "You're the one who is going to have hair in your face if I don't tie this up properly."

"Fine," he said and took a step back. "If I had known it was this difficult I would have asked Mill to accompany us."
