32~ Determination To Change Fate

[Celia's POV]

To her astonishment and horror, her transformation suddenly vanished. She let out a gasp as she felt the scales disappearing, and she realized that her eyes could see a little less in the dark than they did back when she was dragged in here.

She fell on her knees, with joined hands. "Thank you so very much, my lady. I am forever indebted to you."

She was crying as she uttered those words, her teardrops falling on her dress and disappearing as the cloth soaked it in.

"Do not be indebted. As I said it was something I owed to you," the woman murmured arrogantly.

Celia looked up to question her, but when she raised her head, the woman was gone. She stood up, startled as she did not hear any noise of her departing. She looked around to locate her, but the woman was just…gone.

Once silence and the sounds of night creatures surrounded her, she pondered about the deal. The hatred of her first love, huh? She chuckled bitterly.
