...................

Jeremy set off, back out into the world and set forth to do what he needed and wanted. The first of which, was probably the most tedious and taxing of his endeavors. Walking down the street, trying to find a car to borrow, and intoning that a source of funding could not come soon enough.

'I've been here for a few days already and yet I still haven't acquired a single source of income or a vehicle of my own, even if it meant going to a shit area, letting somebody roll up on me, and then strong arming their ride from them after they tried to strong arm me, but only in order to teach them a lesson on the error of their ways.' He thought to himself as he strolled casually on the sidewalk, and kept his attention on everything he passed or passed him...though from the outside it looked like his eyes never moved.

He walked for a good thirty minutes until he came across a car that wouldn't require him to break the window in order to borrow it, only the use of his hand and arm to reach into the open window, unlock the door, and put his newly acquired screwdriver to good use.

Taking it was a simple matter and with it, he was on his way, back to the storage unit.

He parked in front and walked inside, noting that the small rock that he placed in front of the door was still in its same exact spot, meaning the door was more than likely unopened.

When he got in he saw that Enzo was once again unconscious and couldn't help but remark out loud, "must be nice," upon seeing the lazy shit not even opening the door to attempt an escape. He didn't even lock the damn thing just to see if the man would take the bait...even if it risked getting fried as soon as he stepped out.

With his inspection of his guest done, he went back out and took the grimoire out of his backpack and proceeded to take a step back and wait for about two seconds before Emily appeared, and in doing so, making the sky just a little bit shaded, which was very impressive in his opinion. Not as impressive as Luke Evans in Dracula Untold, but still impressive nonetheless.

"You ready to do the thing, Zhu-li?" He asked her, a crooked smile on his face that let her know that he knew she wouldn't get the reference.

And he was right, which was why she simply ignored it.

"I am ready. Just stand there and watch."

"If it's you, Emily, how could I just look, but not touch? You ask too much of me." He told her, his tone on the serious side. Which led to him gaining a look of confusion from her for a split second, then understanding, and then, once more, being ignored with a touch of swerve, as she got her work underway.

"alhoaie ghoafja ghaoighoaei aofhaoi goahg oaie ghaeo oafoeiai eajueo!" Emily spoke in a language that he identified as Latin, which was another check mark in his book of things that fit what he knew from the show.

Meanwhile, he did as she instructed and sat back and watched her fine ass work, wondering how he could reward her for her service, and coming up with a quick answer that would satisfy her voyeuristic tendencies, and his itching palm.

He watched as a film of light spread over the unit and then faded out just as quickly as it appeared, and noted that special effects existed in real life as well.

Once the work was done, he waited for her to move or speak, but instead she just stood there for a moment, while he took her in to see if her spell casting put any visible strain on her, but seeing none, so he decided to do the obvious thing, and....

"Something on your mind, Emily?" He asked, as he came to stand beside her and looking at the storage unit, just as she was doing.

"It...has been a long time since I last practiced magic, and while my body cannot feel it as it did, I still felt the power course flow out of me." She spoke, and then stopped to look at him as she finished voicing her thought process. "I have missed the feeling." She finished, her eyes looking into his own as she conveyed her happiness, not through her still stoic face, but through her eyes that tell no lies.

Jeremy had to once again acknowledge just how gorgeous of a woman Emily Bennet was and is. The image of Qetsiyah flashed through his mind, and he began to wonder just what deals the Bennet bloodline made at one point in the past to produce suck beautiful women, as the faces of a young jasmine guy and Abby, Bonnie's mother showed themselves.

"Any fool who says everyone is born equal was truly ignorant to the ways of the world," he told Emily as they looked at one another, and then chose not to elaborate, and just enjoyed her face as she tried to figure out what he meant.

"So, is that something you want then, for me to find a way for you to practice more magic?" He asked her, knowing full well that if she said yes he would milk her nostalgia for all it was worth., but already prepared for the answer that she was most likely to give.

"There is no need. My time has already passed. Now, I will just do what I must."

He didn't even try to hold in his laugh this time, as he continued to look into her eyes and laugh in her face once again, and earning himself another confused/annoyed look from his pocket witch.

"Forgive me, Emily, it's just, that's some of the stupidest shit I've heard in a while." He told her, his laughter calming down, and in seeing her frown, he chose to elaborate this one time. "Emily, the fact that you're standing here talking to me, just performed magic, and are able to get your sexy ass off on watching me spank a beautiful milf, all points to the fact that you, gorgeous, are more alive than most of the living who walk this earth working their dead end jobs with no passion and just waiting to begin their lives after they retire...because they are just certain they'll make it to a ripe old age." He spoke, a look of sincerity on his face that didn't quite match the crude words that came out of his mouth. But despite that, it still had its intended effect.

The small smile that appeared on her lips was worth him having to explain shit that should really be already understood, which is why he met her smile with a genuine one of his own.

'Looks like I'm making myself an actual friend...as long as our interests align. Though, knowing her thought processes, it's likely she doesn't really have too many interests that would interfere with mine. Extrinsically or intrinsically.' He thought to himself as he took in her look of satisfaction. Well, in her eyes, her face went back to its resting state almost immediately.

"Well, I look forward to seeing what you do next," Emily said, as she began to fade.

"And I look forward to seeing what you do next...gorgeous." He threw her words back at her. His tone implying several things, as well as his words, but he knew someone as intelligent and good looking as her could infer a few of his meanings.

Now that he was once again all by his lonesome, he went back to taking in the storage unit, only to turn and walk back to the car and drive away.

'Time to get my hands on some high quality h2glo.' He thought as he was once more driving along and looking strong, but knowing that if he didn't find a way to get himself some superspeed that would let him zip across cities with a muscle twitch soon, eventually he might have to take the L that was becoming a vamp, if only for the convenience that comes with not having to respect traffic laws.

'Oh, you say I was going how fast now? Compelled.'
