The Vampire's Curse

She was not the woman of his dreams. She was rather the woman who came and turned his life upside down. Did love even exist? Why did she have to forgive him for things he did? He did not do them because he loved her. He did them because he wanted them all to herself. He didn't want to lose her and did what would benefit him. He never thought about others so why would she think about him. She was only meant to save herself. She was not some Messiah who came to deliver the world. As she looked at him all she felt was disgust. She didn't think that she loved him anymore. She didn't have a soul. He had destroyed it. His eyes raked over her body and he could not contain the lust that he felt towards her. His pupils turned dark as she ran her hands over his chest. He wanted to grab her by the throat and kiss her. Hold her under the moon and tell her how much he had been miserable since she had left but he knew that was not what she wanted to hear. The moon accentuated her curves and all he wanted was to run his hand all over her body. He knew it was not going to last. He had not seen her for over a decade and now she was back. He has thought that he did not feel anything for her but every time he looked at her he felt alive again. He wanted to let her go but couldn't and did not know why. It's like she was a drug that was in his system that he couldn't wash away. If he could go back in time he would have never met her. If he would have never met her a lot of things would have never happened. He was not her knight in shining armor the same way she was not the woman for his heart. She was the woman who made his life a living hell and he still did not understand why she still brought him to his knees every time.

He did not understand why they were back.

They were the kind of people you never wanted back in your life because they made everything miserable.

He thought they were completely banished from coming back to the community. Life had been pretty amazing and now that they were back everyone was scared of the worst to happen.

He had heard what the parents had to do but that does not mean the kids were not just like their parents.

Monsters created monsters.

He wondered why the house had never been burnt because the moment they had left town no one wanted anything to do with them.

As they made their way to the house they noticed that it is not changed a thing. It was the way it was like the night they had come to scare them off to leave town.

He could say that it had not been an easy thing to do because they were the most powerful vampires so they had to make a spell to contain their powers.

If the plan would have failed then a lot of people would have lost their lives that night.

The other elders that were with him did not look like they wanted to be there. They had no choice though they had to talk before everything resolved into a war.

Something no one of them wanted to happen.

They knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer it.

A few minutes later the door opened and revealed one of the brothers. He didn't know which one he was but he was sure he was one of them since he looked exactly like his father.

"Come on in", said Elijah as he moved aside and let them in.

The smile on his face did not make them look happy to see him as they all walked past him without acknowledging him.

They did not look like they had come to talk, more of say what they wanted and walk away.

Mateo went to the living room and took a seat. He knew the way around the house and so did not need to be shown around. He knew it like the back of his hand.

He has sleepless nights as they tried to figure out where they would attack them from and it was funny because they just used the front door like they were visitors.

"Who might you be I know there are two of you I just can't point out which one you are ?", Mateo asked Elijah.

"Am Elijah", said Elijah.

"Okay can we start the meeting or are we still waiting for someone?", he asked Elijah.

He noticed that he kept glancing at the door and back to his watch.

"Yeah just a few minutes my brother is on the way ", he said as he smiled.

A couple of minutes passed and it did not seem like anyone was coming Elijah just gave up on waiting for Edmund to come.

He stood up to talk and the door flew open immediately as they had footsteps coming.

Edmund was running from ear to ear with a bag in his hand. Mateo gasped as he saw the blood stains on the paper and wondered what he had done.

For a moment a part of him had thought that they were nothing like their dad but yet again they had proved him wrong. They had just moved back and he had already gone on a hunting spree.

Edmund noticed the way all of them were eyeing him and the paper and knew they were all thinking.

"Hello, elders, sorry for the mess I know all of you might be thinking and I would like to correct you.

This isn't a human head in here or anything. It's just blood from a goat that we both knew you wouldn't appreciate if I went on a hunting spree.

Now if you give me a moment I would like to take this to the kitchen and then we can start the meeting", said Edmund as he went to the kitchen.

"Hey ", said Katelyn as he took a seat next to his brother.

They had stolen the show by coming like that. His brother never missed.

Mateo let out a sigh of relief. He thought that Edmund had gone rogue and started killing people.

"Should we start ?", asked Edmund as he came back and stood next to the doorway.

The witches loomed a little intimidated by the move but they knew they wouldn't mess it up. It was their last option.

"What do you want to discuss Mateo?", Elijah asked Mateo.

"I don't know if you knew anything about your parents when they lived here but they were not allowed to come back. That included their offspring.

The people here didn't want you around because they are scared of their lives. We don't want to walk around a d see people's heads on the sidewalk.", said Mateo.

"What gave you the impression that was what we were going to do ?", asked Edmund.

"We don't know what you can do and what you can. We just don't want to risk it with our people", said the priest who was there on behalf of the humans.

"Now father you know we wouldn't do that. We just came here because we knew this was home we did not know that our parents left such an ugly mess behind.

We figured they did because they left awake behind them wherever they went but we didn't know it was this bad to the point you would chase us to our own home ", said Edmund sarcastically liking like he was hurt by the impression that had of them.

He was not shocked he had heard that a lot more times than he could remember to the point he had gotten used to it. They were the monsters.

"So what do you suggest we do, what if we let you back and the same thing happens again? We won't have the same cover story again. People won't believe that the same thing would happen two times as a coincidence. People will discover our existence and that is not something that we want to get into.", said Mateo.

"Okay how about we make a pact, that will do us all good. We don't want to go away this is our home and we wouldn't hurt anyone. We won't hurt you people and you won't hurt us.

We won't hurt anyone or go on hunting sprees and in this case, I mean the human. We respect each other. You would never see me coming to the witches and making them do things that they did not want to.

Whoever breaks this pact will have to suffer the consequences that will be out up. This way no one gets hurt and we have some peace.

Because if you ick us out it's just like you are punishing us for our existence and might I add we won't leave either way because this is our home and we deserve to be here.

If you force us to leave it will come you started a war between all the species and we are powerful you can't kill us. The question should be how many lives are you willing to risk ?", asked Edmund.
