The Vampire's Curse

She was not the woman of his dreams. She was rather the woman who came and turned his life upside down. Did love even exist? Why did she have to forgive him for things he did? He did not do them because he loved her. He did them because he wanted them all to herself. He didn't want to lose her and did what would benefit him. He never thought about others so why would she think about him. She was only meant to save herself. She was not some Messiah who came to deliver the world. As she looked at him all she felt was disgust. She didn't think that she loved him anymore. She didn't have a soul. He had destroyed it. His eyes raked over her body and he could not contain the lust that he felt towards her. His pupils turned dark as she ran her hands over his chest. He wanted to grab her by the throat and kiss her. Hold her under the moon and tell her how much he had been miserable since she had left but he knew that was not what she wanted to hear. The moon accentuated her curves and all he wanted was to run his hand all over her body. He knew it was not going to last. He had not seen her for over a decade and now she was back. He has thought that he did not feel anything for her but every time he looked at her he felt alive again. He wanted to let her go but couldn't and did not know why. It's like she was a drug that was in his system that he couldn't wash away. If he could go back in time he would have never met her. If he would have never met her a lot of things would have never happened. He was not her knight in shining armor the same way she was not the woman for his heart. She was the woman who made his life a living hell and he still did not understand why she still brought him to his knees every time.

AMELIA

Curtis never wanted to cross paths with Ophelia. No one wanted to cross paths with her. On top of being evil, she was also mean and looked down on the poor.

Curtis understood cause when you are raised in wealth there are just some things that you are told you are not supposed to do.

When growing up all she over l ew were the people of the same class as them. They were not supposed to associate with people from poor backgrounds.

As a rich person, what were you doing talking to someone who was beneath you? All the poor did was gossip about the rich.

He had been shocked when Erin had been hired to work at their home but he had understood that Erin's father owed his dad something.

To his knowledge, he had been paid to track down a mermaid and had lost her. He was killed in front of Curtis.

He had been a kid and he didn't know anything about it and that was the only thing he knew. They killed the people who were against them.

It had been something that had been weighing on him for so long but there was no way he could tell Erin. If he did he would lose her.

Some things were better left in the past because they did no one good if they found out. He had tried to be true da with her over the years so that no one could hurt her.

He knew very well that Ophelia would snap Erin's neck in a matter of seconds. She did not have any remorse.

The only reason why he had never killed her was that she did not want to have issues with Curtis's dad. That being true he also knew that if she was completely listed she would do it either way not caring if the consequences.

She was a bad mother as well as she was a bad wife Curtis never u understood why his father had married her.

Maybe after his mother's death, he could not imagine the thought of living alone for the rest of eternity without a partner. That was the only explanation.

Curtis heard a knock ok his door and wondered who it was.

"Come on in ", he said and the door opened revealing his sister Amelia.

Amelia was Curtis's twin sister and even though they hated each other's guts they tried to tolerate each other for the sake of family.

"Hello brother it's been a while since I last saw you ", Amelia said as she took a seat.

"Yeah well you prefer touring the world to staying at home you can't see me wherever you go ", said Curtis as he continued with his work.

"Hilarious there are so many things to see out there so if rather be there than locked up in this mansion doing nothing ", she said as she loomed around his office.

"Well I guess we are two different people then", said Curtis as he looked up wondering what her sister wanted.

"Yeah that we are, how have things been while I was away?", Amelia asked him.

"Why do you suddenly care ?", Curtis asked her.

"I don't I was trying to make small talk ", she said.

"Oohhh okay, just so you know things are doing okay. What are you doing here the last time I saw you were almost a year ago I thought I had finally gotten rid of you ?", Curtis asked her.

Amelia was not your normal sibling who was home after every two weeks. Like she said she loved touring the world and once you went out there and so the things that the world had to offer you never wanted to come back.

She had met new people and done things that she would have never done if she had been at home.

"I couldn't miss the big ceremony and I missed you guys but I don't think you lot missed me ", she said shrugging her shoulders.

"Okay I missed I hope it makes you feel better, it's nice to have you home. I hope you stay for a while before you run away this time too", Curtis said.

"I can't promise you that brother, let me go prepare the preparation for the party nothing can be done properly if am not here I see ", she said chuckling.

"You are not that important ", said Curtis laughing.

"Okay that hurt and just so you know am inviting Zania, I don't know why you will haven't married her yet and she is the best you can get out there ", said Amelia as she stood up to leave.

"I don't know how many times you want me to tell you this but I don't want her she may be beautiful and from a good family kike us but am. not ready yet ", said Curtis shrugging his shoulders.

"Not ready yet or the peasant you want doesn't want you? She will never give you a chance if she found out we are the reason she doesn't have a father just reminding you in case you forgot ", said Amelia smiling as she left his office.

Maybe it would have been better if she just went away and never came back. All she did was give people headaches and remind them of the things that they would never have.

She was t wrong though but there was no way Curtis would let Erin find out the truth. The only people who knew were his sister, mother, and him.

None of them would risk telling her the news unless his sister was bitch and wanted to destroy them.

Amelia had come back and she was going to make his life a living hell. Just when he had invited, Erin to come to a party Amelia decided to invite the woman he was supposed to marry.

It was not going to be a good party from the look of things because how was he supposed to spend time with Erin when everyone expected him to be with Zania?
