Chapter Fourteen

He wondered if he was too easy on Fiona after she started to act better. For someone who used to get mad whenever she caught a wind of him dating or getting married, she certainly changed her tune or maybe Assistant Row has been brainwashing her every time he sent him to deliver her something. He had thought Row has been reliable and responsible since he had hired him.

It didn't stop him from sending Row to her again after he had bought her the pearls, a person who liked him and hadn't bothered him for so long, there was no need to fire him now. Peter sighed as he laid down on his desk, life was always hard for handsome Alphas like him. It makes him miss his wife, who always knew how to help from his suitors or rotten peach blossoms as she called them.

The next morning, she woke up early and decided she wanted to look beautiful today. Looking up makeup tutorials was easy. All you had to do was take a photo and it will show you makeup looks that fits your face and eye shapes. Fiona even looked for clothes and jewelry she hadn't wore yet. Her long hair even curled perfectly today.

When she got to school, she saw Juliette as she just got off the shuttlebus. Fiona walked up to her with a grin. "Hello Juliette, how was your morning?"

"It was okay, I had stayed up too late proofreading my essay." She smiled at her, for a brief her eyes widened when she really looked at her. Fiona felt smug, she knew she looked pretty. "You look amazing today, is there a reason you dressed up? Not that you can't, but you usually wear plainer clothes."

"I just wanted to look good today," she smiled at her, "are you doing anything today? I wanted to go to the carnival but I didn't want to go alone. Its so embarrassing when you have to sit next to a stranger on a ride."

"Uh, I, I don't think so," Juliette turned a bit red as she nodded. "But this time I will pay, I would fell awkward if you pay all the time."

"Okay, when do you want to go?"

After they made a appointment, Juliette left quickly and Fiona made her way towards the young inventor meeting she was supposed to go to yesterday. The place was already filled with people, most of them were students who came from their local school. Getting a map, she found that they had a small place for toys. She made her way over, instead of looking at the other things she wouldn't understand.

The small area was hidden away, blocked off from the others when she walked through the doors, she ignored the looks from the people around her. What's wrong in investing in toys? Looking at the elf-like robot dressed in a silky robe, she wanted to turn away and pretend nothing happened. But she continued, it didn't get better. No, it get worse.

She did get the number for the sex robot inventor, who also programmed it with a AI. For a smut novel world, it was lacking in sex robots. She didn't know why, but she was willing to see if it will work out. (Yes, she did look up sex robots on her bracelet (private mode) and found out that no one put in a AI and the looks of the robots were similar and boring.)

In the regular area, the items were amazing and cool. Her favorite was the robots, one was a cleaning robot who was a floating ball whose face was cute kaomojis with a adorable voice. Another robot was a realistic fox kit, it made the cutest yawning. She decided she wanted them all and contact Raphael who was her dad had assigned to her to help her. Her father hoped she would start her own small company to train herself. Fiona didn't really want to take over the company after seeing how boring the work is. If the pay for cleaning was as high as the pay for running a company was, she would do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, there wasn't even any cleaning jobs here. Most people buy robots to clean their houses.

When two o'clock came, Fiona had met Juliette at the carnival with some chocolate candy she had got. It had cute little flowers on it and she thought she might like it. The chocolate was amazing and cheap too, it came from a candy store she had near her apartment. "Hey, I got some chocolate earlier, do you want to try some? Look it has cute lil flowers on it."

"Not right now, I haven't eaten anything yet and wanted to eat Daddy's beard!" She smiled at her before walking towards the pay booth. Fiona mentally translated that sentence again, before realizing she meant cotton candy. Languages are so weird. Even in the future.

The carnival was filled with rides similar to the ones in her first life and rides she didn't know anything about. Because she hadn't eaten anything, they went towards the food area. Fiona got a hotdog and fries while she got a type of ham and cheese sandwich. It looked good and she had planned on ordering it too, until she remembered that Juliette wanted to buy everything today. Sitting at a table, she watch Juliette eat her food slowly. She didn't see how she could look so good while eating. Fiona had always ate fast and loud.

The only reason anyone put up with her loud chewing was because she always made the food sound tasty and delicious.

Fiona felt more hungry than when she first started to eat.

They played a couple games first before riding anything. Fiona brought them to the Hammer which not only went all the way around but it tilted in different directions. It was a lot more fun because Juliette wasn't screaming off her ears or cutting off her hands like her sisters used to do, instead she was laughing and grinning. When they got off, they quickly went to the next ride. They were laughing and talking as they wait in line. The ride was the biggest rollercoaster there, it went all the way around the fairground and had more than four loops and three hills from what she could see.

"This is turning out to be a great date, it is a lot more fun than last night's dinner," Juliette laughed as she touched Fiona's arm. The sun shined on her face, making her look brighter and Fiona froze. "The next time you take me out on a date, can it be at a place that's more cheaper? It was nice, but I am comfortable if it is in my price range."

"Yeah, I can do that!" Fiona nodded quickly with a silly smile, did you think she was going to correct her? She was single because she was always too shy to ask out people or missed signs that they were interested in her. If Juliette thinks they started dating yesterday, they started yesterday. Go, Fiona, go!

(She will ask her for a date on purpose later, right now she is going to enjoy the accidental date. Thank god, she dressed so nice today. She also has to search up how often you can go out on dates without it being weird.)

I borrowed my mom's laptop and wrote three chapter so easy. No idea why.

Have a good day and I hope you enjoyed my writing. Leave a comment! ^_^
