Chapter 117: Execution

...

Thousands of people watched from afar at the execution grounds, watching the accused grandmaster of Fresia who attempted to kill crown princess Inanna, kneeled before Luther with his hands shackled with magic severing cuffs. His usual prideful self was shattered beyond recognition, he looked lifeless and traumatized even. His expression was blank and he was pale white, his eyes were dull and he was shaking to no end.

"This wasn't the outcome you expected I'm sure." Luther grinned

The grandmaster was silent.

"I guess I'm talking to myself, it seems your brain has been shut down for a while." Luther chuckled as he walked behind the grandmaster

"Your dear wife has been sent to the dungeon, and she'll be there until the day she croaks.." Luther told him, not expecting an answer anyway

Above the crowd sat Julian, Cassandra, Erdel, Caribella, and Ivery, each on their respective chairs.

Luther pulled the grandmaster's head back and had nothing but a smile on his face as he stared gleefully at the grandmaster's blank expression.

Against his will, the grandmaster's tongue stuck out, and his lifeless eyes stretched wide as his tongue began to stretch further and further out of his mouth. He didn't understand how it was happening, Luther hadn't moved an inch and all he was doing was holding his head...

Sounds of pain erupted from his throat as his entire tongue ripped and fell out, seemingly on its own. Blood spilled from his mouth as his bloodshot eyes looked at Luther with nothing but terror.

The blue sky slowly turned black, as if it were night.

Everyone in the crowd looked up at the sudden change, everyone feeling extremely unsettled.

The grandmaster's body started to feel incredibly weak, cold, and incredibly hot, he suddenly began to vomit and urinate on himself simultaneously. Black mist covered the entire ground and as he looked up he saw Luther looking down at him with black filled eyes and thin black veins that traveled up his neck to the sides of his face.

Blood started to leak from the grandmaster's nose, eyes, and ears. His entire body trembled and his tears began to flow and mixed with the blood that leaked from them.

Luther's finger went up to his grinning face and that finger went over his left cheek to his mouth and then to his right cheek, it was almost as if he was telling him to smile.

The grandmaster gurgled on his own blood as he felt the skin on his face being cut and separated, the same smile line Luther traced over his face was being cut into the grandmaster's.

The skin and muscles from his cheeks to his mouth were cut wide open, his mouth mimicking what a snake would look like if it opened its mouth. Then an intense pain set in his gums and he groaned in agony as every single one of his teeth fell out and onto the ground.

Luther looked him in the eyes and the grandmaster's limbs started to slowly decay, starting from the tips of his fingers and toes. The grandmaster wailed in pain as he felt every single bit of his fingertips and toes dying and as it slowly spread throughout his nerves.

"You know...when your limbs start to decay and die...they get cut off to stop it from spreading?" Luther's deep ominous voice echoed throughout the area

Just as Luther finished his sentence, the grandmaster's arms and legs were sliced off under Luther's gaze. Blood poured from his severed limbs and his limbless body. The grandmaster lay on the ground barely alive, his head hung low, not even having the energy to keep it lifted.

Then suddenly a strong force lifted him up in the air and from the ground black long spiked tendrils arose. The tendrils all quickly dove into the grandmaster's severed wounds and entered his body. He could barely let out any more screams as his throat long gave out. The black tendrils spread throughout his body and organs, and began releasing black liquid that began to corrode his insides as if it were acid, and he felt mind-searing pain as it did. His skin turned dark gray, his irises turned cloudy white, and his sclera's black. His red blood that was spilling from his body was now spilling out black.

His body that was being lifted in air was released and he fell on the ground with a loud splat. And every ounce of life that he had left was gone. His mouth was agape and the black tendrils that invaded his body slithered out and went back into the ground.

The black sky faded and revealed the blue color it once was. The black mist that covered the ground was absorbed back into Luther's body.

Everyone who sat to witness the execution could only stare in horror of what they had seen. Each and every one of them were beyond terrified and they could even feel the massively dreadful aura of death Luther had emitted. They couldn't even slightly imagine what the grandmaster had felt, being on the receiving end of it.

"Is our boy even human anymore?" Erdel watched the entirety of it in amazement the entire time

Julian couldn't wrap his mind around how sinister Luther was, his power was beyond the world's understanding of black magic. Was his daughter really married to such a terrifying existence that you couldn't even call a man anymore?

Ivery herself couldn't even deny how much more ominous Luther had gotten, after absorbing so much black magic recently, his powers were further enhanced and his grim-like aura that he often had suppressed still couldn't help but leak out. His capabilities were definitely still beyond her own in terms of deadliness. Despite it all, she still couldn't feel an ounce of terror that even their parents felt...was her love for him stronger than her body's self-preservation instincts that other people normally feel around Luther?

The grandmaster's body immediately decayed right to the bone and then his bones quickly turned into dust and blew away with the wind.

The crowd of people were all soon dismissed and left never to forget the scene they witnessed that day.

....

Ivery sat alone in her room at her desk and sighed.

A golden-pink cloud of mist appeared and Loki in his cat form stepped out and sat on her desk.

"What's wrong Ivery?" Loki asked

"Loki! Are you feeling better?" Ivery smiled and quickly grabbed him for a hug

"Yes, yes I'm better now." Loki tried to escape her overbearing grip

Ivery released him and he jumped back on her desk.

"You seem worried about something though, what's the matter?" Loki asked her concernedly

"It's not that I'm worried, I'm just wondering about something.." Ivery said

"Wondering what?" Loki tilted his head

"What you think about Luther?" Ivery asked Loki

"Isn't it too late to be asking me how I feel about that ice-block that you just married?" Loki scoffed

"Seriously Loki." Ivery said

"I think he's downright terrifying, he always has been, but now even more so, he's ceased being human Ivery." Loki told her

"What do you mean?" Ivery didn't understand how Luther couldn't be human anymore

"All of that black magic within him turned him into something beyond human, what he's able to do isn't within human capabilities, you can literally equate him either to a god or a satan." Loki explained

"And as an infinite attribute holder that has access to all of his abilities, you still haven't even seen most of what he still is capable of." Loki shook his head

"Not to mention Erebus still holds half of his power from Hades...when he gains the rest of that power, I can't even describe what he'll be." Loki shivered

"I see." Ivery sat back in her chair

"Why are you asking me what I think about him though? Are you having doubts about being with him?" Loki looked at her with eagerness, was she finally seeing the light?

"Of course not, I just wanted to know how other people really see him, especially from you since you understand him more than others." Ivery shook her head

"I personally only feel love for him..I've never had any other feeling other than wanting to always be with him.." Ivery smiled

"I'm pleased to hear that.." A familiar deep alluring voice said

Ivery looked around but didn't see anyone.

Suddenly from her shadow a black misty figure rose up and Luther stood behind her chair with a smile.

"Oh shi-" Loki quivered, he turned into a golden pink mist and went back to his domain

"How much did you hear..?" Ivery asked nervously

"From the moment you sighed." Luther said

"So everything.." Ivery sighed again

Luther turned her chair around and looked down at her.

"So you don't fear me at all?" Luther leaned in close to her face and his eyes turned black

"No." Ivery smiled and grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled him, closing the small distance between them

Their lips connected and his arms slipped around her waist. He picked her up and sat her down on the desk.

"You love me that much?" Luther broke the kiss to ask

"I love you that much" Ivery put her arms around his neck

Luther leaned down and kissed her neck, he then gripped at her dress and began to rip it.

"Luther wait-" Ivery blushed, she was going to run out of dresses with this man

"I don't want to.." Luther completely tore her dress off and tossed the tatters on the floor, exposing her corset and underwear

Ivery put her hands on his shoulders and slightly pushed him back.

"B-Before we go there, I have a question." Ivery felt incredibly hot

"Hurry up and say it before I lose my rationality.." Luther started to unbutton his shirt

"For our honeymoon..." Ivery blushed as she watched him take off his shirt

"Hm?" Luther raised an eyebrow

"Can we go back to Ridgefall?" Ivery asked

"Ridgefall? That town for adventurers?" Luther wondered why she wanted to go back

"I feel like we missed out on all of the fun by having to come back home so suddenly.." Ivery said

"If that's what you want, then let's go." Luther smiled

"And besides, I want to know if Yannel got in." Ivery hoped he got through

Before she realized it, Luther had slipped his thumb in her mouth and he held her head up to look at him.

"You dare to think of other people when I'm right here?" Luther pressed himself against her as he stood in between her legs

"Sorwy" Ivery felt incredibly turned on as his dominating aura made her tingle

"Are you prepared for your punishment?" Luther began to untie her corset with his left hand

Ivery nodded.

"Good."
