I love how despite there being “not enough (good) ratings”, this novel is in the top 5 novels monthly. Like anyone would believe that nonsense? Webnovel owner is getting more and more stupid day by day. I thought it impossible beforehand because of how much they resembled a pig with their greed, but guess I underestimated incapability. If you were looking for an actual review for this novel, don’t read it. This novel is complete trash with short chapters and locked after 8 free chapters. From 40 to 20 and now 20 to 8 lol. Good try idiots.

Really 8 chapters then the paywall starts? Who are the idiots reviewing stories for the site that think this is ok? No wonder other 3rd party sites are starting to be higher up on the google list when I look up stories, everyone and their mother are pirating these stories to other sites for free. Good read and very addicting once you get into it, a little annoying that it comes out once per day but good build-up to an eventual climax

I don't know how to describe my feelings for this. Just that there was a lot of unnecessary abuse and insults that the main character did not need to take

It's a very odd story in that the characters are all Western, with names like Finn, Larson, Jones, but there's so many Asian elements: jade pieces, filial duty. Did the translator localise the story to a Western setting or was it originally written that way? In the end, there's eight chapters available of the MC being berated by his in-laws. He was married into the rich family by the family's patriarch, who jaunts off somewhere afterwards. His wife marries him because she was forced to, so there's no affection there at all. It's leading up to him proving he's worth something after all, like Cinderella I guess, but that's all behind a paywall so who knows.

What in the world is this doing on the top novels. The way it's written is so awful, it just made me want to drop this faster and faster. Like what is wrong with the way the character talk to each others? "Finn Taylor this Finn Taylor that Yvette Larson this Yvette Larson that" like jesus christ innovate at some point. Couldn't even tell you how bad the plot is even if I tried.

All the worst parts of Asian culture are full display with no redeeming character traits to counter the incessant petty greed and two-faced boot-licking. It's not even funny enough to be worth slogging through all the cringe.

I wish I had found this book once its finished, I hate wating and building expectations of extraordinary stories Iike, This is a excellent story that I cant wait to see it to it’s conclusion.

Brothers and sisters Webnovel actually saving you. They only give 8 free chapter, because they know this story is trash and not worth your coins and free pass. For someone that roaming jianghu long enough you will understand. This novel is like canon fodder young master; created to be trampled. So much overused cliches, It's not surprising that story development would be repetition of face slapping. Characters setting is westerner, i dont even know that our brother in western call their friend full name "Fynn Taylor" every single time. Honestly, it would be better to keep the original chinese name. For someone that still persistence or even enjoy reading this novel. Im proud of you.. you like eating pineapple pizza right?
