69 A Family Reunion Part Three

Yinse

Walking among humans, sometimes was a bit harder for someone like him. Everyone around town knew he was Yang's white dragon and the closest thing to a good luck deity you could find on earth, meaning there was always a crowd surrounding him whatever he needed to show himself on his human form. Zidian had make sure to be with him when he needed to be in public outside the doors of the Lotus Pier Clan, but today he was walking around town with a pair of dark troublemakers called Xuanyu and Chenqing.

The purpose was simple, Yin wanted something special for Yang for an anniversary of their reunion and giving the fact that the one suggesting gifts was none other than her black dragon friend, Jinzhu, it was up to them to wander around all towns in search for the best foods they could taste and brought it to Yin to prepare a feast for the celebration with the untamed team that make it possible for them to reunite after so many millenniums of separation.

Wei Ying and Lan Zhan were wandering on another town, so were Bichen and Suibian, not to mention the one who suggested the whole ordeal, Jianzhu with her lover Cian. Of course, he had go to Zidian and Madam Qing first, asking for Zidian to accompany him instead of the two idiots he was now following, but apparently Zidian's taste on good food was not exactly the best, as she pretty much liked thoroughly roasted things best, which was unacceptable into Madam Qing's opinion.

Now, not only he was the center of the attention and without his usual scary escort, but surrounded by two additional handsome guys that had not a single hair of shame on their heads. That was because Xuanyu like for public displays of affection, which suited Chenqing just fine, but it make him cringe every time they pause to kiss and he mean really kiss.

He had seen Wei Ying and Lan Zhan kiss quite a lot as well, but because of Lan Zhan, Wei Ying tended to restrain in public, mostly holding hands with his husband while on the busy streets, leaving their infinite passion to behind closed doors. Even he had kissed Zidian only in private and he was literally a heavenly beast. Those two were like mating bunnies.

"It's them! The sages dark spirits!" A girl yelled from somewhere and there were many squeals sounds that were on his nerves.

"And the handsome white dragon!"

"He is alone today?"

"Were is that wicked purple woman?" Yinse sighed.

"Did he got rid of her?"

"He should, she is too domineering..."

"Right." Another girl whisper and Yinse almost laughed. Oh, girls, you better not said things like that in front of her or you are all dead meat. Also, she is demanding but hardly domineering, don't get her wrong. Yinse thought as he walked pass the crowd in haste. However, both Xuanyu and Chenqing were amused to no end with the sudden focus of the people in his love life.

"So, is Zidian doing with you whatever she likes, like the people said?" Xuanyu asked.

"I know for sure that Chenqing does with you as he likes. Leave Zidian out of it and let's get this feast fishing over with. The best dinning house is already in sight." Yinse said as he walked faster and Xuanyu laughed.

"So serious... you haven't change a bit in centuries." Xuanyu said.

"I was trapped on an ice cave for a very long time, don't blame me."

"You were like that even before the disaster happen."

"Mo, leave him be, we are truly running late." Chenqing intervened.

"My Chenqing, is not our fault that we were surrounded almost on every step here." Xuanyu pouted.

"If that's the problem, then I can take care of it." Yinse said, as he raised one hand and a pearl-like light went up to the sky and exploded, sending down a sudden rain.

Immediately, the people dispersed looking for cover, including the two idiots that ran as fast as lighting toward the dinning house. That make Yinse a bit relived to had get rid of the two as well as the people in one go. He missed his Zidian already and wanted for the collecting of gifts to be over as soon as possible.

He could repel the rain as he walked, which only create more admiration from those who were still staring at him from a shop door or window and more so when his white robes didn't showed a single dark spot from the pouring rain on the now muddy street. His hearing still catches some sequels from inside shops, yet what his sensitive hearing pick up was another unexpected sound.

The sound of a stick hastily tapping over the wet street, made by a lone girl of around twelve or perhaps thirteen years old, with ragged robes that once were white. She was now socking wet and Yinse could tell that she was not faking her blindness. He first though the girl was trying to get away from the rain, but as he watch her almost run on the empty street, he found out that she was in fact been chased by... a small wild dog.

At that very moment, time seems to slow down as the girl used the stick to find her way while the dog came closer. It was like seen a younger female blind version of Wei Ying and it hit him. Lan Wangji had once said that there will be a time in which the next heir of the Wei Clan will come to him. A blind girl that carry the blood of Nuwa on her veins, as the seer had predicted.

"Is it her?" Yinse whisper to himself as he worked his magic to shoo the dog away and summon Wei Ying into the wet street.

"Ah, damn it. What the hell, Yinse? I already bathed today... and it's a dog!" Wei Ying yelled as he saw the barking dog getting away. He was already moving to hide behind Yinse, when two things happen at the same time.

One, Lan Wangji came, second the girl tripped on a discarded basket on the street and fell. She didn't cry as she fell, but she was noticed by both the sages who ran to her to help her get up again and getting her out of the rain.

"Hey, are you alright?" Wei Ying asked, as he take her by the arms to make her stand, but the girl only assented.

"Wei Ying..." Lan Zhan whisper as he gave the girl a better look.

"Ah, poor thing, what's your name? Can you talk? I'm scare of dogs too." Wei Ying told her and the girl raised her head, to more or less the place in which she had hear the voice before.

"Qing... I am called Qing and I hate dogs. They bite..." The girl said and Wei Ying look back at his husband.

"Qing you said?" Wei Ying asked again, not minding the heavy rain still falling over them.

"Yes."

"How old are you?"

"Thirteen."

"Had you always live on the streets?"

"My parents were killed in a breach of the barrier by corpses just a few months after I was born blind. My uncle took care of me, but die of an illness seven years later. I have wander on the streets ever since." The girl said and Wei Ying stared at his husband, who knowing what was on his mind, nodded in agreement.

"It's her." Lan Zhan confirmed and Wei Ying smiled. A girl that was originally probably from Gusu and that had lived the same harsh life of both Wei Ying's mother, also a descendant of Nuwa and feared dogs the same way Wei Ying did.

"Will you like to have a home? A place that can help you get stronger and call it your own?" Wei Ying asked.

"I'm blind. No one cared about the people on the streets. I'm not buying it, I will not be a slave!" The girl said in defiance and Wei Ying smiled fondly. She was spirited and he was sure his mother will love that girl as if it was her own.

"I am a sage, Wei Wuxian to be exact and I had no need of slaves, as I am charged to save the world from it's own darkness." At that, the girl widen her eyes.

"Wei Wuxian? The leader of the team that prevented the town from been wiped out in Gusu? My uncle told me that you were a savior. The one who ended that world of darkness and killed all the corpses."

"Hum, yes."

"Let me see..." The girl said as she extended her muddy hands to him. Wangji once again agree for Wei Ying to be touched and he bowed down at the level of the short girl hands and let her touch his face with her callused hands.

"You are young..." She whisper.

"I am a sage that no longer age the same way."

"Will you teach me martial arts?" She asked hopefully.

"Of course."

"Will I get stronger?"

"Yes."

"I will no longer have to sleep in forests or streets?"

"No. You will have a house of your own, a Clan of your own and a family of your own. Will you like that, A'Qing?" Wei Ying asked and the girl smiled for the first time in many years.

"Yes." She said and Wei Ying hugged her little body, poorly developed by malnutrition.

"Then, soon you will have two sage fathers, a brother and two strong grandparents, not to mention two awesome aunts, two uncles and a lot of cousin's to play with." Wei Ying said.

As he whisper the words, a rainbow showed in the sky, as the rain subsided and a figure popped up by Yinse.

"You did well..." Zidian whisper to him and the white dragon looked at her quite pleased.

"Now the circle is really completed." Yinse said.

"And it was about time. Today is a special day after all."

"Ah yes, a day of reunions... fated for sure."

"Then come back to the Lotus Pier with me. I'm sure there is a warm bath to prepare as well as some dressed for a little special girl that will join our family soon enough." Zidian said as she took Yinse's hand on hers.

"As you wish." He whisper, lifting their joined hand to kiss Zidian's, which in turn softly kissed Yinse on the lips, then suddenly two other figures showed up in front of them.

"Talking about shameless. That counts as kissing in public too." Xuanyu said, however as Zidian smiled widely, a thunder roared in the sky and Xuanyu ran away from them to join his Master in a flash. Such bravery...

Soon after there was an air of festivity on the Lotus Pier and Yinse was glad for the sages, who had waited for thirteen years to be fathers for the second time. Soon, Lord Wei and Madam Senlin were called to meet their soon to be granddaughter and as Senlin welcome her as a Wei back to their Clan a little while after that day, they were summon back to Yin and Yang's mountain in which they were once again congratulated.

A new beginning was at hand, promising greatness and happiness, as well as the raise of a new era.

AN: This is the last loose string left behind and I hope is a good closing. I liked Yinse and Zidian a lot and I kind of didn't give them much attention, with so many characters around. Please take care. See you again one day in some other story update. 🤗😁
