13 Full Circle

Wei Ying

After a few hours of chatting and get to spend some time as a renewed family once more, finally, Sizhui had told Wei Ying of his plan to build up a small memorial for his lost Wen family like Wen Qing, Granny and Uncle Four, which Wei agree it should be done as soon as possible, yet both Wen Ning and Sizhui refused for Wei to join them. The reason was plain to see, as both of them didn't want to get in the way of Wuxian and Wangji's new relationship. Later on, they could visit once again all four of them together, but for now they will do so on their own.

Finally agreeing, Wei Ying and Lan Zhan went out of the Inn to wish them a safe journey and promise to meet with them soon. Waving a goodbye to them as they mixed with the crowd in the beginning of their journey, Wuxian failed to notice the two who were watching them from the entrance of the Inn. Wei turned, smiling after he could no longer see the young Sizhui and his uncle and was about to enter the Inn when he found himself face to face with both Jin Ling and Jiang Cheng.

This time, Wangji didn't felt the usual hostility that the Jiang Leader have around Wei Ying, so he nodded to Wei and go ahead of him, to have a talk to with his brother. The time for them to depart will come soon, so he wanted to discuss a few things with him before went out in a long journey. So, with Wangji gone, Wei stood in front of the uncle and nephew, who was looking at him nervously.

Once again, Jin Ling open his mouth to say something, then close it again. It seemed that the kid really didn't knew how to approach him after what happen in Lanling and the temple. He didn't blame him, thought, because if he were in his place he would be feeling a bit lost and regretful of his actions, after finding out they all had been lie and tricked to. Still, Wei Ying came closer and smiled to Jin Ling.

"Just take it out... it doesn't suit you to become a fish." Wei joked, making the volatile kid annoyed.

"Who said I was going to say something? You are so annoying..." Ling said, thought regretting it as soon as it came out, but Ying had seen through his attitude and laughed.

"You brat... Jiang Cheng, he is just like you when his age." Cheng slightly smiled.

"Are you going to follow them? I heard they were going to make memorial tablets for those who stayed with you at the Burial Mounds in the Wen's memorial hall, if it still exits." Cheng asked.

"Ah... we may follow them later. They were also my family, even if it was for a short period of time. Want something to drink? It's getting hot out here." Wei said as he try to pass the two of them to go inside the Inn, but Jiang Cheng stop him by holding his arm, as he was next to him.

"Wei Wuxian..." Cheng begin, but Wei look at him more seriously now.

"Follow my advice, Jiang Cheng. Let it go, don't duel on it and forget what happen in the past. Feeling guilty is not your style. We both make mistakes along the way, it's not like it was only you or only me. You make your choices thinking on the best outcome for your Clan and I make mine. Maybe this time we can do better, but you need to let it go first..." Wei whisper to Cheng who looked back at him, with a mix of emotions.

"Can we Wei Wuxian? Are you willing to try it? To go back to the Lotus Pier even if it is for a short visit?" Wei smiled.

"I'm willing if you are. I know it will take us a while... but at least we got a second chance." Wei said and Cheng smirked.

"I have Suibian with me. Will you take it back? With a new body you can start again... I mean... I... can help you with..." Jiang try, not really sure of how to approach about the golden core. It had took Wuxian great effort and time to build up a powerful golden core he had let go with great consequences that leaded to his death, of which he had played a big role. However, now he will need to start anew from step one to a very long stair to climb.

"I will be glad if you return Suibian to me. I will make another golden core in no time. You don't need to worry about that. Lan Zhan will be my cultivator partner, but I can make time to visit you and the brat from time to time." Wei said.

"Who's a brat?!" Ling protested.

"You are!" Both Wei and Jiang said at the same time. They look at each other while Jin Ling pouted and Wei patted Jiang's shoulder.

"We may never become the Twin Prides of the Yunmeng Yang anymore, but we can still be brothers... and I need to teach the brat a thing or two about defense." Wei added, taking Jin Ling by surprise. The offer make Ling smile wide, because he was hoping to have more time with Wuxian and perhaps learn a thing or two from him. Now that it was a promise, he was going to claim it as soon as Wuxian was close to Lanling again.

"You better remember it! You promise!" Ling yelled in excitement.

"Ah, yeah, yeah... I promise, so you better prepare yourself. I never said it was going to be easy... or fun." Wei Ying mocked, but still, Jin Ling was glad, even for that. Trying to hate Wuxian had been harder than he thought possible and in a way... he too was his uncle, his brand new one.

"Hey wait! I want to be teach too!" One of the juniors said and hearing that, quite a lot of the others joined the claim.

"Wow! You are so noisy... no way, back off, I'm still the fearsome Yiling Patriarch, remember?" But the small crowd simply laughed and keep insisting at the entrance of the Inn, taking the attention of the people passing by in the street.

"Lan Zhan, save me!" Wuxian try to get away, but quite a few of the kids surround him instantly.

Inside the Inn, both Xichen and Wangji smiled. It was good to see him been accepted, after so much hatred and tragedies. This time around, Lan Zhan was going to make sure that Wei Ying really enjoy his life, even if they spent half his time teaching juniors or mending a half broken brotherly relationship. He also wanted for Ying to catch up to Ah Yuan's training and spend time with both Sizhui and Wen Ning, perhaps in a visit or a prolonged night hunting close to the Cloud Recesses.

After a few minutes, Xichen decided to intervene before the kids could make Wuxian go crazy and Wangji guided his happy lover back to their room, to check on his status. Wei still was a bit weak, but he was definitely better than when he passed out back in the temple.

"So?" Ying asked, as he watched Lan Zhan sat by his side at the border of the bed, reading his pulse.

"You still need rest, but are doing better now." Wangji responded.

"So... can we have seconds from last night activity?" Wei asked mischievously.

"So shameless..." Wangji smirked.

"Looks who's talking... you did to me more than I did to you." Lan Zhan's earlobes went red.

"You asked for it." Wangji responded.

"Light Bearing Lord, you certainly are more passionate that the people close to you will believe." Wei smirked.

"I waited for you, for long." Wangji responded.

"Then, what about me beginning to make it up to you? How long will that take?" Wei asked as he put his arms around Wangji's neck.

"All your life." Was Lan Zhan's answer.

"Then I will give you more... far more." Wei said as he pulled Wangji to him, both falling over the bed, while passionately kissing each other. Wei had never experience such joy, as to feel his lover caring hands wrapping him or his kisses melting him heart away, but he treasure it like his most precious possession.

After they spend some time kissing in private, they decided it was time to move. They were going to follow Sizhui and Wen Ning first, eventually joining them to give his Wen family the deserved respect, then he will begin his cultivation, to build up a new golden core while honoring his promise to both Jin Ling and Jiang Cheng.

Just before they were going to leave the Inn, Clan Leader Jiang called Wuxian to his room, to give him back Suibian. Wei looked at his brother with a hint of nostalgia, for which Jiang Cheng pull him close to hug him. Many things have happen between the two, both good and bad, but just like Wuxian had told him before, it was time to move on and begin anew.

"Take care, Wei Wuxian... and if you travel close to home, stop by." Chang said and Wuxian smiled holding back happy tears.

"I will... you are not going to get rid of me that easily in this lifetime." Cheng smirked.

"Let's have another duel... when you are ready." Jiang whisper, holding him tighter.

"Ah, yeah... you owe me a stab." Wuxian joked.

"And you a broken arm." Cheng joked back, letting go of him.

"See you later, take care of the brat for me for a little while." Wuxian finally.

"I have done it for years, now go. Train hard, I will not hold back on you when you can use Suibian again." Wei laughed.

"I will beat the hell out of you... just you wait." Wei joked, slightly patting Cheng's shoulder before turning to leave and join with Lan Zhan. They have a long journey ahead of them, but their lives were just beginning and so was their mutual love.
