250 The Wedding

Three weeks later…

Holed up inside her own private bedroom, Raine let out a sigh as she looked at herself in the mirror. Currently, she was dressed to impress; wearing a long white gown and a translucent veil covering her face as a bouquet of flowers lay waiting on her nightstand. It was the night of her supposed marriage to Janus, and she didn't like it one bit.

"I really hope I'm doing this right…"

It was a gamble. One that would hopefully pay off, of course. But if it didn't, then Raine supposed that it was only fate that dealt her a losing hand. She really didn't know if anyone would save her by the altar, and at this rate, the window of opportunity for anyone to do so was closing really fast.

"Dammit… I really don't wanna do this…"
