35 Chapter 35 - Blue Haired Girl

Mi Young was just in time as a green goblin raised its hands to attack someone who was tied up on the bed.

She didn't waste any time as she threw her right boots on the goblin which made it fall on the floor. Mi Young is really good at aiming at things, in fact back in grade school, she was the best in archery.

The other two goblins who were surrounding the bed were too shocked to even react. Mi Young took this chance in order to execute the Fire Ball technique.

As soon as she was done, the three goblins were able to recover from their shock and they immediately focused their attention on the newcomer. One of the goblins pointed at Mi Young and said something in goblin language which made the other two shout at him.

Mi Young doesn't know the beast language but she definitely knew that the other goblin ordered the two to attack her.

Now that she's ready for them, she changes her stance into a battle position and waits for the goblins to attack.

The goblin who was on top of the girl earlier pointed at the smallest goblin on its left and said something to it. The smallest goblin nodded its head as it ran straight towards Mi Young.

She didn't know what goblins are capable of but looking at the goblin charging towards her, Mi Young knew that this goblin relied on its physical strength.

Without waiting for its attack, Mi Young was about to fire a fireball at the goblin but it suddenly vanished into thin air. The girl looked surprised and wasn't able to react immediately when the goblin suddenly appeared in front of her again. It raised the axe it was holding and was ready to plunge at Mi Young but the black haired girl was able to dodge it.

Mi Young rolled to the side of the room in order to avoid the goblin's axe. As she was preparing to fire another fireball, the goblin disappeared and reappeared in front of her once more, causing her to stop the fireball in her hands.

The black haired girl ran towards the other side of the room again, and just like what happened earlier, as she tried to fire an attack, the goblin teleported near her.

This scene continued for a couple of minutes before Mi Young realized something.

Every time the goblin disappears, it will take a total of four seconds before it reappears in front of her. So if Mi Young runs away from it once more and it vanishes, she has four seconds to change her position so the goblin will reappear in the wrong position.

Having that plan in mind, Mi Young tricks the goblin by running towards the door. The goblin immediately disappeared, thinking that Mi Young will stay at the same position while it reappears.

When the goblin vanished, Mi Young counted mentally, and just as soon as the goblin reappeared, she crouched down and stood on its back. Mi Young didn't waste any time as she summoned fire from her hands and pushed it on the back of the unsuspecting goblin.

The goblin shrieks before it disintegrated, leaving its axe alone on the floor.

Mi Young exhales as the enemy is finally gone.

However, her little moment promptly stops when she hears another angry scream coming from the two remaining goblins.

Mi Young looks back and sees the leader of the goblins points at the tallest one and then pointed at Mi Young, it screams one more time before it runs towards Mi Young at a much slower speed than the other goblin.

However, just like the previous goblin that attacked her, this goblin also vanished into thin air. Mi Young waited for four seconds for it to appear but nothing happened.

The black haired girl got confused for a couple of minutes but she wasn't able to further think about it when she felt something behind her back. Thanks to her fast reflexes, Mi Young was able to crouch down just as soon as the tallest goblin swung its sword towards her.

"You can teleport much longer than the other?" Mi Young shouts. The leader of the three goblins laughed at Mi Young as if the girl said something funny.

The blue haired girl, who was tied down to the bed and whose mouth is taped, shook her head frantically as if telling Mi Young she was wrong. Noticing this, Mi Young tried to think about other reasons why the goblin could vanish but she was having a hard time with how she was also dealing with its sword from time to time.

Mi Young tried to attack the goblin by using her fireball but she stopped when something pushed her from the side. She looked to her right where the push came from but found nothing.

Ignoring that, she tried to look for the tallest goblin but she found nothing. She felt a presence behind her so she instantly turned her body towards the opposite direction, but just like earlier, there was nothing behind her.

Just then, she sees a shadow on the floor coming in front of her and that's when she realized that the goblin couldn't teleport but it has another ability.

"What a cheat." Mi Young whispers as she studies the shadows movement.

When she sees the shadow raising its hands, Mi Young immediately knows that it's getting ready to attack her.

She remembered a lesson Lady Ning Gwang told her. It's about another ability some Mage has that are quite used by Mages who commit crimes all over the kingdom. It's also an ability used by other Mages to pretend as Mages who can use Materialization.

"Even if you can use that rare magic, that won't work against me." Mi Young whispers more to herself than her enemy. She has a trick in her mind that she decided to use at the last minute. Although she isn't sure if it would work, Mi Young still tried.

When the shadow of the goblin walks closer towards her, Mi Young executes a battle technique she had never used before. After five breaths, she was able to produce a miniature cloud all over her, this also includes the area where the goblin can be.

Because of the miniature cloud and the synthetic rain it had created, Mi Young was able to locate where the goblin was. It got drenched in the rain which is why its body is now visible to Mi Young. However, the goblin didn't seem to notice that Mi Young can now see him.

The goblin swung its sword towards Mi Young but the young girl was able to dodge it one more time.

Mi Young crouches down and kicks the goblin's foot using her left leg. The goblin falls to the floor face down. It wasn't able to recover immediately so Mi Young took the opportunity and pressed a blazing fireball on its back. The goblin squirms under Mi Young's hold while shrieking but after a few seconds, it disintegrated into dust just like the previous goblin.

The leader of the three screams in rage as he sees his companion dying in front of his eyes.

It pointed at Mi Young before it shouted gibberish words that no one could understand but him.

The black haired girl waited for it to run towards her just like the other two goblins but instead it brought out a staff and started chanting something. Seconds later, two magic circles appeared on the floor with Mi Young in between.

The goblin continued chanting while black mist came out of the magic circles on both sides of Mi Young. Mi Young was about to run away from the magic circles but it already got on her feet and now she couldn't move. It feels like her feet are stuck and something is stopping her from moving.

Mi Young sees the blue haired girl start shouting once more but her voice was muffled by the tape that was still plastered against her mouth.

"I can't understand you!" Mi Young shouts as she tries to pull her legs from the black mist.

The girl continued shouting but Mi Young couldn't understand her. Suddenly, the mist started getting more thick and Mi Young wasn't only able to move her legs but it's starting to get numb as well. Panicking, she starts to think about some way in order to get free of the invisible shackles around her feet. That's when Mi young realized she could still use her hands.

Mi Young inhales a deep breath and tries to shake off the panic inside her. She focuses her mind until she is able to call on her mana energy around her. She couldn't execute a battle technique because some movements require the use of the feet so she gathered her mana around her and started remembering the feeling of having to call on the water barrier she had made before when she was trying to save her classmate.

She felt a bubbling feeling inside her as she drew her mana energy out from her, although she knows this technique will eat up more of her energy and mana, Mi Young didn't have any second thoughts as she continued.

Now, the numbness in her feet is already disappearing and she can feel them once more. A little more concentration and the black mist surrounding her is starting to vanish as well.

Mi Young noticed that as soon as the water barrier was complete and now that she was already surrounded by it, the black mist was gone as well.

The goblin who was still chanting looked confused and shocked at the same time. It stopped what it was doing and looked at Mi Young like she grew three heads.

Mi Young took this opportunity as she fired a fireball towards the goblin, hitting it right on the spot.

She and the blue haired girl watch as the goblin shrieks in agony before it finally disintegrates into dust.

Feeling exhausted, Mi Young slumps down on the hard floor as she lets out a huge sigh of relief.

"Finally." The young girl whispers. She was about to lay down on the floor when she heard muffled screaming, that's when Mi Young remembered the blue haired girl who was still tied up on the bed.
