30 Chapter 30 - Three-Eyed Wolf

"You!"

It was Mi Young who fired first. She shoots a fireball towards Se Heon who was quick enough to dodge it. But the boy didn't want to look helpless and weak so he too fired a blazing fireball towards Mi Young.

Everyone around them started shouting at them to stop, but their words were ignored by the two people who were too immersed in their little showdown.

"How dare you enter this academy?!" Mi Young shouts as she fires another fireball at Se Heon.

"I have no choice!" Se Heon shouts backs. He skidded to his right to avoid Mi Young's continuous attacks. He executed a different battle technique and seconds later, he was already holding a blazing lasso on both his hands. "You also have secrets that are far graver than mine!"

"You speak of mine like it's a big deal!"

"How come a beast is not a big deal!?" Se Heon retorts. He raises his hands and sends the whip towards Mi Young who jumped to her left in order to avoid it.

The other people inside the house were horrified upon witnessing the scene in front of them.

After Ji Sung's explanation, they weren't expecting something like this to happen at all.

"Stop it you two!" Ji Sung shouts but the two completely ignore his warning. Getting irritated, Ji Sung had no choice but to attack without them noticing.

The senior captain executes a battle technique while he was watching at the sides. He hears Shang Min asked him what he's doing but Soo Hyun answered for him instead.

"Just wait and see." Despite the fear in his voice because of the sudden change of events, there was also playfulness in Soo Hyun's voice.

While the two dual cultivators were still busy with their fight, Ji Sung was already done with his battle technique.

When he finds the right timing, he stomps his foot on the ground and makes a series of hand movements that cause a huge earthquake around them. Seconds later, two gigantic earth hands appeared beneath Mi Young and Se Heon, grabbing them and completely stopping them from fighting.

Everyone can see how the two were struggling as they tried to get out from the earth hand that had caged them.

"Get this off me, Ji Sung! I swear I'll get you next after I deal with this brat!" Se Heon warns as he tries to get away from the strong grip around his body.

"Brat? You're the one with devilish schemes just because your parents did not—"

"Enough! I promise I'll really kill you if one word gets out of your mouth!" Se Heon continues as he eyes Mi Young with pure distaste. Mi Young looks back at him with the same intensity.

"Then I guess both of you will stay there as long as you two don't make it up!" Ji Sung says. He crouches down and sighs deeply. He scans their living room and sees the catastrophe the two has made and says in a defeated voice, "It's final. You two will stay there as we clean up the disaster you caused."

The two struggling students look at each other before they scan their surroundings as well.

There were burnt marks all over the floors and ceiling. Half of the sofa was damaged. The glass coffee table at the center of the living room was broken. And there was a huge hole on the wall, thanks to Mi Young's fireball.

They guiltily looked at Ji Sung who had a disappointed look on his face.

He puts his hands on his hips before telling the two younger students, "Tell me if you have already apologized to each other and I'll let the two of you go. But before that, we will have to clean this up first."

With another series of hand movements, the huge fist that gripped the two students suddenly morphed into an earth cage. Mi Young and Se Heon were now stuck inside a rock jail separating them from the rest who looked at them with pity, and some with amusement.

Kwon Soo Hyun walked towards the rock jail and crouched in front of the sulking Se Heon, "Way to go, buddy."

Se Heon answered him by raising his middle finger at him, to which Soo Hyun just laughed off.

After that, everyone including Shang Min, started preparing and fixing the damages and the broken appliances the two have caused, while the two culprits just looked at them with pure guilt.

Mi Young watches in boredom as everyone cleans up the mess she and Se Heon did. To be honest, she doesn't know why she suddenly got mad at Se Heon.

After diving through the boy's memories and knowing all of the things he have learned, she was suddenly filled with so much contempt and hate that all she could think of was to attack Se Heon. It wasn't really her intention to hurt the boy and cause this much destruction.

Mi Young felt bad just by looking at the catastrophe she had caused.

Se Heon was no different while sitting just a few feet away from her. He was sitting at the corner while looking at his seniors and juniors fixing and arranging everything that he had caused.

He was really looking forward to redeeming himself towards his seniors and everyone in the Geo faction who have accepted him and welcomed him like one of theirs after giving them trouble when he had a fight with another Pyro student before.

And now that he has finally earned their trust again, he destroyed it by bickering and battling the other dual cultivator.

"This is all your fault." Se Heon whispers while throwing Mi Young a murderous look.

Mi Young scoffs at him, "Really? Who attacked me with that f*cking lasso?"

"Well you attacked me first by throwing that fireball at me!"

"It's because you're so full—"

"I see you two are still not making up, huh?" Ji Sung suddenly says while crouching in front of the bickering students. He looks at his watch before he says, "Another two hours for you two."

"What? Ji Sung you can't do this to me!"

"I still have a lot of things to do! Please, let me go!"

"I will. If you two behave and start acting like adults." Ji Sung says in a firm voice. He throws them a sharp look before he starts helping the others again, leaving the two sulking behind.

Mi Young sighs as she slumps her shoulder. "What are we going to do?"

"I don't know." Se Heon answers.

The two of them continued watching everyone as they walked in and out of the house.

At some point, Mi Young and Se Heon fell asleep, too exhausted because of the sudden duel earlier.

Mi Young wakes up with a start.

She sat up from where she was lying and realized that she was still inside the earth cage Ji Sung made.

She hears a groan coming from her right and realized that Se Heon was still inside as well.

The boy sat up and rubbed his eyes as he tried to take away the sleepiness still lingering in his mind. "What happened?"

Upon hearing the others' question, it's when Mi Young realized that something is indeed off with their surroundings.

She roams her eyes in the living room and just realized that everything is too still.

"Where's everyone?" Se Heon asks. There was alertness and concern in his voice.

Mi Young's eyes went wide when she realized what was wrong. "Sh*t. Are we the only ones left?"

"I think so." Se Heon whispers. Then he starts shouting, "Ji Sung! Ji Sung! Ha Rin! Everyone!?"

Mi Young quickly went to Se Heon's side to cover his mouth.

The boy struggled as he tries to get Mi Young off of him, "The f*ck are you doing?!"

Mi Young silences him again by covering his mouth as she looks at something outside.

Se Heon was about to shout at her again when he heard a loud groan.

"Can you hear it?" Mi Young whispers. Se Heon nodded his head, forgetting that Mi Young's hands were still covering his mouth.

The black haired girl slowly untangles her hands from Se Heon's mouth as she puts her index finger on her lips while signaling at the boy to stay quiet. Se Heon nodded upon realizing how grave the situation is.

The groaning continued and it took them a while to realize that it wasn't coming from outside but on top of them.

That's when they noticed the puddle of steaming and hot liquid dripping from the top of the cage where they are locked, down to the floor in front of them.

"Something is up there." Se Heon whispers while pointing at the top of the earth cage.

"Clearly." Mi Young responded. Se Heon rolls his eyes at her sarcastic tone before he starts to crawl towards where the pool of liquid is gathering.

Se Heon crouches down to investigate the steaming liquid. He fishes out something from his pocket.

When Mi Young realized what it was, she asked, "What are you going to do with that? How can a pen help us?"

Se Heon didn't answer her as he slowly reached for the pool of liquid.

When the tip of the plastic pen touched the liquid, it immediately melted into dust.

"Sh*t. I was right. It's poison." Se Heon whispers upon seeing the reaction it made to its pen. He pushes Mi Young away from the liquid while warning her not to get close to it.

"Of course I won't. What do you think of me?"

"Why don't you just thank me, huh?" Se Heon questions. He was getting irritated with Mi Young's sarcasm. "You know, in the first place, we won't be here if it wasn't for your stupid actions."

"Wow! So now you're blaming me again? Excuse you but you were the one who had such unhappy and hateful thoughts." Mi Young angrily retorts.

This made Se Heon angrier, "Well, you couldn't blame me considering I was born in a family like that!"

"You could have told the—"

Mi Young wasn't able to finish her sentence when a loud roar echoed all throughout the empty and silent house.

When the two of them searched for the source of the sudden noise, a beast leaped out from the top of the earth cage where they were staying.

It was huge and it resembled a wolf. However, instead of having two eyes like a normal wolf would do, it had three. Its skin was a mix of purple and blue and its saliva was dripping from its mouth as it eyed the two of them hungrily.

"Holy sh*t."
