Chapter 1 Training Interrupted

"Swish! Swish! Swish! Swish!"

A boy about 14 years of age swung his sword down, over and over again without rest. He was handsome albeit his face was still somewhat childish due to his age, his eyes and hair a dark black, and his porcelain skin shone under the light of the sun.

This was Yun the strongest genius of the Blue River Kingdom and the heir to the Torrential Waves Clan. At the young age of 14 he was already at the Peak of the Qi Gathering Realm, few his age could hope to compare.

Thus he continued to swing his sword. All of a sudden he stopped before holding his sword up high and swinging it down once again.

"BOOM!"

The ground cracked in front of Yun as the wind surrounding him blew fiercely. "Seems I can finally perform the 1st Layered Wave." He smiled before performing the attack once again, this time it was even fiercer than the last.

After repeating the move about 10 more times he sheathed his sword, satisfied. One would assume that this would be the end of the his training, but the boy's figure soon disappeared as he began running around the training ground.

Although he had just progressed in his Sword Technique, rather than take a rest the boy immediately began training his Movement Technique. Shuttling throughout the training ground his feet moved in an odd footwork.

"Yun!" A voice sounded interrupting the boy's training. Coming to a halt he turned towards the origin of the voice. There a tall man stood with long black hair and eyes, his appearance was similar to Yun's and he carried a large sword on his back.

"Father? What is it?" Yun questioned as he locked eyes with the man. It seemed as though something bad had happened.

"Our presence is required at the Royal Palace. Get dressed we're leaving in an hour." His father answered succinctly before disappearing. Hearing this Yun made his way back to his quarters and quickly dressed up.

It wasn't their first time going to the Royal Palace so Yun was clear on how he should present himself. Because of this he was done well within the hour and soon after they left their Clan and went towards the Royal Palace.

"Why aren't we using the Wave Riding Carriage?" Yun questioned as they ran across the City towards the Palace.

"This is meant to be a lowkey visit, if we go with the Wave Riding Carriage we'll be too conspicuous." His father replied as the two arrived at the Palace, they then swiftly entered after being greeted by some guards before entering the Throne Room.

"Tian the Head of the Torrential Waves Clan, and Yun the Heir of the Torrential Waves Clan have entered!" As the two stepped within the hall everyone within immediately gazed towards them, there were many people present.

From the King to the Crown Price, the Head and the Heiress of Blue Swallow Clan, along with many more important figures of the Kingdom.

"You're late, as always." The King sighed before dismissing the guards and announcer. "I'm sure you all know why I've gathered you here today." He continued from atop the throne, as Yun and his father took their seats.

Naturally the numerous adults within the room knew the reason, but it seemed as though their children did not. Currently within the Throne Room every Peak Elite and Genius of the Blue River Kingdom were present.

"The Tyrannical Blood Empire has made their move attacking from the west and north attempting to devour every country within the Grand Night Domain. Currently the Ardent Flame Kingdom to the West, the Jade Forest Kingdom to the Northwest and the Thousand Spear Kingdom to the North are under attack. If any one of them were to fall we'd be next." He declared sending a chill down their spines.

'What? Tyrannical Blood Empire!? Why'd they make a move now of all times? Didn't their Emperor die not too long ago?' Yun thought to himself in complete confusion. It was safe to say that within the Grand Night Domain the Tyrannical Blood Empire was Unparalleled.

"We already know this, so why have we been gathered here? Defensive operations? Intel gathering? Also why did we need to bring the children here?" A chubby man in red robes questioned. This was Cai the Chairman of the Myriad Treasure Pavilion.

"Mhm I also have the same questions. Regardless of what you decide our Blood Blade Sect will stand behind the Kingdom." Another man with short spiky grey hair and a scar across his left eye added. As one could guess this was the Sect Master of the Blood Blade Sect.

"I understand you all have questions so I'll summarize before going into further detail. Its unlikely the 3 Kingdoms will last more than a year and there's no way we can face even a third of the Tyrannical Blood Empire's might a year from now, so we must seek help from the east. Unfortunately there aren't too many potential allies..... Apart from the Dark Kingdom."

This time all those present were shocked. While the Dark Kingdom wasn't as strong as the Tyrannical Blood Empire they were still leagues ahead of the Blue River Kingdom. All things considered the circumstances were unique but in another sense such a power wouldn't easily ally themselves with the Blue River Kingdom.

"What's the catch?" Tian asked tapping his finger on the armrest.

"Its a marriage alliance." The King replied his face ashen, clearly this was his last resort and a plan he was only going through with because it was absolutely necessary.

To this information Tian raised a brow in surprise. "Okay so what does that have to do with us?" Out of nowhere Yun spoke up. While he understood this was a serious situation, and he himself was concerned, they had interrupted his training and it seemed as though his training was now more important than ever.

"Little Yun, as bold as always I see. Well I need you and the other young ones to escort the Princess to the Dark Kingdom."
