Chapter 39, First Kill (Part 2)

In Core Formation Realm, a cultivator can't make the energy leave their body, at best they can coat their body with it, so if they want to hurt someone with the types of energy they are cultivating, they will have to be in contact with the other person to hurt the said person with his/her energy.

That's exactly what happened when Kevin punched the bear, although the bear's body has strengthened to a new level after turning berserk, that was still nothing in front of Kevin's physical strength, so Kevin's hand instead of stopping on the beast's stomach it pierced through it, afterward the flames that were on his hand started to spread from inside the bear's stomach.

Feeling a huge amount of pain hit him, the bear roared one more time, not from rage but from the pain this time that made the frenzied bear regain some of its sanity.

Looking down, the beast noticed a small hole in its stomach that is burning in its insides.

As for Kevin, after delivering his attack, he immediately retreated, there was no reason to stand around under the bear's reach in case it decided to go crazy or something.

The bear roared one more time after looking at the place where its partner was and found that his partner was dead at the hands of the other human, he roared one last time in unwillingness and sadness, and then it fell dead.

Although the punch from Kevin made a small hole in the bear, usually it wasn't going to be enough to kill the bear, but the red flames that Kevin used wreaked havoc inside the bear since the flames took some Chaos energy attached to it which allowed it to be stronger.

As Kevin advances more in cultivation, and the seal over his core weakens, the energy properties in his body will mutate and grow stronger the more Chaos energy fuses into it.

After ending making sure the bear died, Kevin breathed out a sigh.

Turning to Emilia, he asked her with a raised eyebrow,

"How did your battle finish without sound?"

"I just had to fight with my brains, not with my brawns like you," she said with a smug smile

"What do you mean? I was just learning to control my strength, and that doesn't answer my question."

"While you were exchanging fists with the bear, I just had to wait for an opportunity to strike while the bear was distracted, the opportunity came when the bear suddenly turned to check on the bear fighting you"

"And?"

"I just have to put a fist in its heart with my shadow energies"

"Huh? The bear is 4m tall?"

"My wings idiot."

"Ohh, I forgot you had them"."

Vampires like us dragons have wings that they can sprout by learning as it is a bloodline ability that has no connection to the cultivation of the individual, I can take out my wings too, but I am not used to them yet, as they are something new to me in this life and I hadn't had the time to train them yet. In this Universe, the beasts form cores when they get blessed by the Universe, at the moment they can are called Blessed and can cultivate by forming their core that will take a red color

Each advancement in cultivation realm will allow them to change the color of their core and also increase their strength proportionally according to their specialty.

Taking the core as proof of our mission success, I told Emilia to do the same with her bear.

"EW, I will not do that," said Emilia with a disgusted expression written all over her face

"Well, It still doesn't matter, go and do your work, even if you have to use your energy to cut it," said Kevin with a smirk.

Seeing this Emilia just huffed and went to do as told, although she is spoiled, she knew that Kevin wouldn't budge from his orders, so she went to do it instead of wasting time arguing with him.

"Good girl," said Kevin with a smile.

After cleaning the area where they fought they immediately headed in the direction of their second mission, this time it is going to be an agility-type monster.

Two beautiful women were watching this fight from the beginning to the end

Their expression now is one of pure awe, as they just watched a boy who is only 14 years old at peak of the Core Formation realm taking down a bear in Peak General rank with physical body only, and used his energy only to finish the bear

They were Amanda and Seraphina, the two dragon ancestors of the dragon clan that came to watch over Kevin and Emilia as instructed by Rebekah

They arrived yesterday and were watching them from the time they left the Libirity Guild, then they followed them here in the morning, after listening to some of their conservations they learned of their name.

As for their expression which is filled with awe and some shock?

How can their expressions not be one of awe and shock as normally it is extremely difficult to take a person who is a complete stage in cultivation higher than you this easily without suffering any injuries.

Although they saw that Kevin kept fighting the bear for 30mins, they noticed that as the minutes and seconds passed his control over his strength began to increase, as in the beginning Kevin was sometimes pushed by the bear for not using the correct strength and sometimes he would send the bear flying, but after awhile his control increased and he managed to equal the bear with his strength without adding energy to strengthen it more.

Although here in the lower realm, geniuses manage to overcome a whole stage of cultivation between them and their opponents, so it wasn't a miracle what Kevin and Emilia did.
