Chapter 13, Food

"Let's go to the city and visit one of the restaurants that make good food."

"Sure, that is a good idea."

Since we are too weak to move around the city by ourselves, Emilia asked one of the maids to accompany us outside so nothing unforeseen would happen to us.

The one who Emilia called arrived after a few minutes.

She was 178 cm, she has smooth white skin, long silver hair that reaches her back, c-cup from the front, big butt that was on the firm side. She has a cute round face with silver eyes, a sharp nose, plump pink lips, and slightly pointed ears.

Her name is Lucia, she most of the time accompany us outside when we want to go, she is wearing a formal maid outfit with a crest of the Royal Vampire family, it had a large mouth opened with large fangs protruding from the mouth with a dark red background.

As Lucia arrived, she immediately asked about our needs,

"How may I be of help Your Highness princess Emilia, and Your Highness prince Kevin?".

"We want to go to the city to eat Aunt Lucia, and please stop with the formal words," said Emilia to Lucia, as Lucia can be considered one she spent most of her time with while growing up here when her parents and sister were not around, so she can be considered a second mother for Emilia.

"I agree with her Aunt Lucia, there is no need for formalities you have been seeing me a lot during the last year," I added from the side as Aunt Lucia has seen me a lot during the last year whenever I came to visit Emilia or when Emilia come to the dragon realm to visit, as Aunt Lucia is the personal maid of the Aunt Sylvia.

As the personal maid of my mother, my mother said that she was out doing a mission on my mother's order and she is going to take a few years before retuning to my mother's side.

"Then, where do you wish to eat Your highnesses?" she asked with stoic expression on her face, completely ignoring our words as always.

Emilia just pouted at her formal tone and I can only give a helpless sigh.

"Where do you want to go Kevin?" asked Emilia after shifting her eyes to me.

"Let's go to Solace to eat, we have seen that shop's food last time we were taking a walk around the city," said Kevin after thinking for a while.

"Should we go in disguise or as we are?" asked Emilia.

"Let's go as we are, there is no need for so many complications,"

"Okay, then let's go, aunt Lucia," said Emilia to the stoic maid that was watching as we decided our next course of action.

"Ok, Your Highnesses, I will just send a message to her majesty to inform her," said Lucia to the duo.

After getting the confirmation from Queen Sylvia, they headed outside the palace, when passing any maids or butlers along the way they bow to us saying something along the line of 'Your Highnesses' or 'prince', 'princess', and the like till we reached outside the perimeter of the palace.

"So what should we eat when we get there?" I decided to start the conversation with a question.

"What about sweets and more sweets?" asked Emilia with an innocent tone and sparkling eyes while looking at me.

"In your dream, last time you come to visit, you kept pestering me to take you to a good place to eat sweets," I snorted with annoyance at her innocent tone.

"What is the problem with eating more sweets?"

"Shouldn't you be like 'I want to order blood' or something like that?"

"Ignorant, you should know that we eat normal food also but blood gives us satisfaction when we drink from our partners," she said with a smile while showing her sharp fangs to me.

"Yeah, sure, now keep your fangs away from me."

"We have arrived Your Highnesses," said Lucia to us in her usual emotionless voice.

In front of us is a big structure five-story tall with a big name on top of the building with the writing 'SOLACE', if I have to say that is cool as the name has some semblance to my family's name, but that is not important what is important is the fragrance of food when we passed through the door of the building and was welcomed by the sight of high-class people either vampires or other races sitting in the first floor, since this is one of the main cities of vampires, there will be a lot of vampires here but that won't mean the absence of other races' nobles or big merchants in the city doing their business or visiting the city as there are a lot of places around here that could attract attention for their beautiful sight.

As soon as we entered the building all the noise on the first floor stopped and all the people who were eating or talking with each other stopped what they were doing and looked at us for a few seconds until they registered the appearance of The Dragon Prince and The Vampire Princess here.

All the people here stood up and gave us a courtesy bow especially the vampires while the other races aren't obliged, they still did it out of courtesy and politeness. I didn't sense any dragons here but it didn't bother me much, since my blood is much purer that other dragons I can always sense if there are any dragons nearby.

Of course, not all the Princes and Princess have their faces known outside, we are only known because we are seen a lot together since the last year, so there would be photos and descriptions of our faces and special characteristics that make us easily identifiable if seen walking in the streets.

As I and Emilia just nodded to the people here for them to continue what they were doing, one of the people working here come to welcome us a guide us to a private room on the top floor away from the noise and the people.

After we entered a private room,

"What would you like to order Your Highnesses?" asked the waiter with a polite smile on his face.

"Thermal-Cooked Shadow Leopard and Iron Casserole of Ice Cream for me and Emilia, will you have anything, Lucia?" I replied and decided to ask Lucia even though I knew what will her answer be.

"Thank you for your consideration, Your Highness," replied Lucia with her usual face.

"Then that's all," I replied with a polite smile to the waiter

"Right away, Your Highnesses"

After the waiter left the room and the door closed,

"So you still brought me sweets," said Emilia with a smile.

"You would have thrown a tantrum if I ordered anything other than sweets for you".

After that, we spent the rest of the time bickering until the food came, after eating we paid after insisting on paying for the food and returned to the palace.
