Chapter 10, Talent

In an empty spacious room, there were only two mats on the ground for people to sit on and two people are using them in the room.

One is a beautiful woman that has the looks of a young woman in her mid-twenties with long crimson hair tied in a ponytail, and crimson eyes. And the other one was a child with short black hair and crimson eyes like the woman sitting in front of him.

They are the mother and son duo, Rebekah and Kevin Solaris.

"Now, that you are five, you can test your talent for cultivation to see how far your potential will take you on the road of cultivation," said Rebekah in a serious tone to Kevin.

It has been a year since the Vampire Princess visited the dragon realm with her parents, since then we kept in touch either by me going with my mother to the vampire realm to visit or would come to spend some time here with me.

I'd say that we become closer over the year and can be considered close friends after I got to know Emilia better with more interactions, I got to know that she is a cheerful girl with a bright personality, and she loves spending time in the garden most of her time while reading books.

But back to my mother, as she said I am now 5 years old, so that means my meridians should be fully formed which means I can start cultivating after testing the level of my talent to know the number of resources I will need in the future.

The levels of talent are divided according to the combination of the bloodline, physique, the speed at which the cultivator absorbs energy from the atmosphere, and finally comprehension ability to understand the cultivation levels and laws that govern the Universe of the cultivator.

Five levels of talent are known to the public, they are Commoner, Noble, Duke, King, and Emperor, those talents are for Mortal cultivators, after one breaks through the peak, they got their talent tested again.

Those are the five levels of talent that define how far on the cultivation road these people are going to reach with their potential. Of course, there are special resources that help rises one talent significantly if the conditions are met, but those resources are hard to find in the vast Universe and need a lot of luck and bravery to be able to find them as they will be in danger zone.

"Yes, mother I am ready" replied Kevin in his childish voice in a serious manner.

"Okay, then put your hand on the crystal and let it do its job," said Rebekah with a smile, pleased with how serious is Kevin taking this situation as this will define his future achievements but even if his cultivation talent isn't high, she would still shower him with love and care as such thing doesn't matter to her.

As Kevin put his hand nervously hoping for no cliché situations where he would have zero talent and get mocked for it or make his mother lose face for giving birth to such a talentless kid like him. Or maybe he can't cultivate for having a strange unclassified physique.

But thankfully nothing of sorts happened, as Kevin's hand touched the crystal it glowed fiercely until it stopped with pitch black color that covered the crystal, which should translate to being peak-tier emperor talent which should be the highest as far as he knows.

"I knew my son would be more talented than me," said Rebekah with a visible excitement on her face, how can she not be excited for her son as this era going to be a very murky era where death and bloodshed would be the norm and someone weak won't survive in all this chaos, although she can protect him, she still won't be there all the time.

As I was surprised by what my mother said, so I decided to ask,

"What was the result of your talent testing back then mother?"

"I was middle-tier emperor grade."

"What about Alina?"

"She got High-tier Emperor-grade talent, and you are the first Peak-tier Emperor-grade talent that the dragon clan produced for the last one hundred thousand years," said Rebekah with a smile full of pride.

"I will leave you now to start cultivating like I have shown you because I have some things to do," added Rebekah with a smile before taking the crystal used to test Kevin and left the room. After walking outside the room for a while she stopped and the smile on her face disappeared and was replaced with a serious expression as the crystal in her hand suddenly disintegrated after she stopped using her power.

"Divine talent while a mortal?" murmured Rebekah before she continued moving to her study to think about what does this indicate.

As the mortal crystal for testing usually doesn't get destroyed unless the one testing got a grade higher than the crystal capacity, this is the highest crystal available to test mortals, so she is surprised it is destroyed like this.

Back in the cultivation room,

"See I told you I am a genius System," said Kevin with a confident smile.

[Yeah sure whatever Host, you should start cultivating and stop wasting time, because you are as weak as an ant in this new world]

"Sure, I will start now"

There are 9 mortal stages of cultivation before one breaks through to attain divinity.

"The first stage is called Gin gathering realm and it consists of 9 small realms, all I have to do is absorb the energy in the atmosphere and allow it to pass through the 12 main meridians before ending in my lower dantian. But first, before that let's unlock my other 8 meridians and connect them to the other 12 meridians."

"Good thing I studied the art of medicine and how to unlock my extra meridians and connect them through the acupoints," said Kevin to himself softly before taking out short thin needles that he prepared before coming here.

'that's going to hurt like hell, first I should start absorbing the energy then start unlocking them when the energy is near them,' Kevin knows what he didn't endure now, is going to make him suffer in the future if he didn't make use of every opportunity available to him.

As the benefits of unlocking the extra 8 meridians will help increase the energy reserves his body can store of Gin, and will also help make his energy circulates in places no energy usually passes through which will help him when he starts strengthening his body in the next cultivation stage as it is separated into different stages with a lot of steps.

And just like that Kevin started cultivating behind closed doors for the next 3 months, only getting out when he needed to eat and wash.

Maybe there will be some points here which will make no sense to some people but belive me they will have an explantion in the future
