First Day

'I couldn't help but pity myself everything I looked in the mirror. So, naturally, I started working out to compete with other superhumans. I had been bulking since my childhood and now I had a pretty neat and straight body, not very bulked up like a body builder, just perfect to see. My brother, Makoto, always helped me and even trained me to the point that I can beat him or anyone easily if they were to fight me without superpowers. I didn't know if I can beat the Ken family, who had superstrength for generations. Anyways, as we all know that hard work can get you anywhere, I worked my way to the best high school I could imagine. The school was specialised in training young people like me with talent. I somehow managed to pass the entrance exams but what should I do now?'

I layed on my bed while thinking the above thoughts rushing in my mind.

My brothers daughter was playing outside and I was hearing constant noise from her and the kitchen and the construction happening beside our home. I can not spend one moment in peace so I stood up and checked my mobile for any notifications by my school. Nothing...

I finally got up and left the house and headed for the mart. I grabbed some essential clothes and etc. But suddenly a guy ran into me giving me a hard push but I didn't fall, on the other hand he had been completely collapsed.

"Hmmm? What is the hurry?" I asked.

He stood up while brushing dust off his dress, "What is with you, do you have a problem or something? You looking for a Beaton?" He said in anger as I could tell.

I didn't seem to be fazed and had my boring expression on like always. I then smirked a bit and patted him. "Someone is looking for you" I pointed at the back of him after saying that.

"SO YOU ARE NOT THAT FAST, HUH? LOOKS LIKE I CAUGHT UP!" A girl with short black hair appeared from his back at a distance. She was breathing heavily so I assume she was running after him. The guy just from after seeing her, wanting to run but I was in the way.

She pulled a knife out and pointed it on him, "LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE A DEAD MAN NOW" I was still confused.

"Whoa whoa stop it for a sec! It's not my fault, I mean the oven blasted because the food was rotten." I understood what they were fighting about.

"ROTTEN FOOD? WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU SAYING? OVEN DOES NOT BLAST OVER ROTTED FOOD!" I sighed and slowly came in between them. Both were confused but the boy hid behind my back while the girl stared at me with a frustrated look.

"LOOKS LIKE YOU GOT SOME FRIENDS HERE, THEN I KILL BOTH OF YOUUU"

I looked at her charging at me. I knew she was overreacting and needed to be stopped so I grabbed her arm in which was grabbing the knife, and twisted it so that her knife was pointing towards her own neck.

"WHA-"

Both were left in shock because of sudden movement of mine.

"Please stop it now you two are making a scene" I calmly replied with a slight smirk, almost looking like a fake smile.

The boy held and tried to pull My arm back.

"Let Goo, you have no rights to touch my sister!" I somewhat understood the situation now.

I let her go and the boy gently covered her away from me even though she was almost going to kill him moments ago.

"Sorry I thought that it was an intense matter"

I turned around and my smile disappeared. I looked like I was about to walk away till suddenly I heard the voice of the boy.

"Who the he'll even are you, definitely not from the Ken family!" I nodded but in disagreement and I walked away to my home.

The next day was my first Hugh school day according to the msg I just received. I walked to my brother who just came back from his work. I then asked him about how he used to live his days...

I don't have any feelings or care for other beings. I just care about fun. If I have fun I care or else I don't mind anyone dying besides me. But I do look upto my brother. He always had a brave heart, he cared about his family, he never let his heart be broken even when his wife died. I think I have some care for him and his daughter only in this world. To think of it, they are the most precious to me. Anyways, as I was saying I don't feel emotions so basically I put fake expressions on my face. I don't know how it felt or how it was. That's why I would get my brother to talk with me who would tell me how to act normally. That is the only reason I asked him about his life.

The next day...

I walked to school after eating my breakfast. I knew that this school was totally out of my league if I didn't chew metal bolts (phrase in my country for saying work hard). As I turned into a rather unknown road which the msg instructed me to, I saw a huge building with lush green gardens all around. This would have been heaven for someone who could feel emotions. I saw students and even adults taking photos. I slowly walked straight towards the large gate. If I had to say, it was roughly twice my height (5 9"). I looked and entered it without giving a second thought. But I suddenly saw two familiar faces. They were the people I ran into yesterday. I turned my face around as they looked at me, I tried my best to not get noticed but they saw me.

"Hey that is the weirdo from yesterday" the girl whispered but I overheard it.

"Don't be so rude he was just saving me" I didn't know the people who were fighting to kill each other could get along so well after just one day. I guess that's how It feels to have siblings of same or similar age.

They slowly approached me. I was confused inside but I didn't show any expression. They then bowed and greeted me with their gentle voices. I bowed in respect too.

"So you are here too, Mister"

I nodded in agreement.

"Will you mind telling your name please Mister?"

"Arki"

"That's a sweet name you got. I am Yamamoto and her name is Saori"

The boy was Yamamoto and the girl was Saori, interesting.

"So are you going to study hers with us? Or are you just a visitor?"

By looking at my dress he said that. I didn't have the special uniform of the school and thus I came in my suit.

"I am a student, I haven't received my uniform yet"

I gave a fake smile which looked almost far from real but they didn't notice.

"Nice to meet you! We would be in C section of class 1. Where would you be?"

The girl finally spoke something. But she look at me with interest. I know that both of them were interested in me after yesterday's incident. So it was natural for her to give such a look.

"I will be in the same section"

Their faces looked empty before she hesitantly stared at me and said,

"U-uh that wo-o-would be na-nice"

I suddenly solved why she hesitated. The system of this school is that you have to fight each other and win to increase your rankings in class and then school.

On the other hand, yesterday's incident made them know my strength thus they were not a fan of me being in the same class.

"We should go now to attend the opening ceremony just like everyone" I suggested.

The ceremony was nothing special, same, boring and lazy speeches with a good luck wish.

We stayed in a group and moved into the class. Both of them were fighting and arguing over silly things on the way and whenever I was called by them I just smiled a bit.

The class was full of strangers, some were practicing their powers, some were chatting and some were sitting down.

"I believe that you will become good soldiers one day"

A guy who was probably 32 years old stood on the podium as the class sat and listened to what he had to say.

"I am not 32 I am only 29"

I was shocked as he said that while staring me. I knew his power must be reading minds.

"That's correct Arki I can read minds, you are really speci aren't you?"

Everyone looked at me. I am trapped.

"Sorry sir but I am a normal student, much to your dissatisfaction, I just guessed you were a mind reader"

He just smiled mischievously at me. He started our introductions and the whole day passed by as we were telling about ourselves and powers. But my speaking changed everything.

As I said I have no powers, everyone went wild. Some laughed and some criticised me. There were words like "How can this be possible or how did he passed the physical test?"

The teacher silenced them and said,

"So you are special but in a bad manner I guess"

Everyone was now laughing at me. I remained my face as I didn't knew how to react but I did smile for a while to act along.

After some time, intros were continued and everyone looked like they forgot me.

After the intros we were free and most went to their dorms. I too did the same thing but I met the two siblings on my way. We greeted and started walking along.

"Is that true?"

"What?"

"You have no powers"

"Yes"

She sighed after asking. She was definitely surprised by the Revelation.

"Is that true that you have wind control powers and you have emotion control powers?"

The boy had some amazing wind control powers and the girl had even more amazing emotion control, which sadly didn't work on me because I am a hopeless man.

"Yes that's true but my powers have some limitations too"

The girl raised a finger like she was going to explain something serious.

"If the person in front of me was feeling some kind of emotion only then I can control his/her emotions and destroy his/her mind"

Those terrifying words came from her sweet little mouth. I gulped because the selection of words wasn't the best. She said everything explicitly without any restrictions. Truly terrifying.

We finally approached the dorms and I said my byes to both of them and went to my room.

I analysed the situations happened today an dhow to counter such in future. I then slept peacefully the whole deep night.
