Chapter 1: Getting to the basics...the hard way

July 17 2036, the beginng of my training to become a AD user

Ironically the government was starting application process on the hottest and brightest day of the year, so everyone is either wearing something protecting people from the suns rays or in the shade no matter how little it was. Lucky I just had to wear a pair of tinted glasses to protect my eyes other than that I wore a silver and gold jumpsuit which is mandatory by the government when applying to an AD-user squarden. Underneath I wore a black undershirt and navy blue shorts and red ,blue ,white,and black striped shoes *alright today's the day remember to breath, Lux and to also remember your training*I said to myself. I felt everyone's eyes on me as if I had a very large target on my back ,true everyone else must of knew who I was (of course they'd know who I was) within an hour after I was presumed dead I came back to life in a fighting frenzy took about 2-10 hours for a SWAT team to hold me down till I calmed down after that many had a lot of scars or broken ribs. Hell that was the only reason why I became known as- "well, well look what the cat dragged hello blind boy, how's the weather too hot for ya?*why now? Why him ugh, fuck it let's just see how long it takes for him to shut up* I thought turning to facing the world's biggest ego and my personal bully Hadnix or Nix of short because of his giant fists which currently were covered by giant gloves to protect his hands from the sun. For some reason he hates me and wierdly I like it he makes me feel less targeted. But I hate him for all the handicap jokes, blind jokes specifically reason why I'm alone so no one else has to endure this verbal assault, another reason people like me over Nix and Im not exactly a people person either. "So what are you doing here blind boy I thought I told you NOT to show up or else you'd get a face full of fist.... Actually you know what I'm glad you're here, so I can finally prove who's the better man, me!"Haddix keep saying something else some sort of "deal"...perfect "alright"I said leaning in so only he can hear me "If I get a higher score and a higher grade of demon you have obey me for the remaining day after our test.But if you get a higher score and etc you can tell me what to do after the test...deal?" I said backing away leaving my right hand stretched out to receive his left hand it took about...5 minutes until he grabbed my hand and pulled me in to say `No take backs". And as if fate called a giant shadow covered the sun allowing those in cover to come out into the center of the park people left the comfort of trees and removed the coats and closed umbrellas as everyone came into the center of the park many were the more common types of users arms, legs,hands and etc while I noticed some of the more rare types such as mind, feet and the alone eye user- me; and no their entire mind was not taken just some part of it, no one knows what part of the brain for traders but for humans it's a piece of our cerebrum which allows them to have extremely high intelligence and psionic abilities although it's random but some have elemental abilities, others create illusions and a very few can read minds and… well predict the future those specifically are called oracles the only way you can tell is the horns on the top of their head they have red to white gleam which shows how powerful they are the better/ odd looking the horn the stronger the mental prowess is .The crowd was both curious and afraid of what was giving the free shad, I heard people muttering "is it a transport from the government?, A new type of trader?" personally I thought it was a trap by some discriminating bastard looking to harm some people but if my sources were correct then "It's the HQ"I said blurting it out wasn't my full intention, but I was glad to do so a lot of people began to stare at me and back up at the object which now that I thought about it had amore pyramid shape than I hoped for but something about was off the pyramid looked more open on the bottom like really open… Now that thought about the grass around here appeared flat like really flat almost like something flatten it *...* "hey Nix mind moving a little bit closer to me…(Me as I gestured him to stand closer) he was reluctant at first but did a mental *screw it* and walked a bit closer "Okay why?"Nix said that's when I noticed it was slowly descending, but no one seemed bothered by it " Tell me what you see anything weird?" I said still staring at the large pyramid "Ummm nothing just a weird cloud blocking the sun why blind-boy? Trying to get me to leave"He said prideful sadly if I was trying to get him to leave then I'd would have done it already and a little better. But by then me and everyone else would have been dead from what I was seeing I tried to look for a symbol on the walls but there was nothing just gray wall with nothing on it " where is it?...Wait a minute found it" I said as I notice where the illusion was coming from the tip of the tower had a word on top, somnium which is latin for dream although I translate chinese to latin sometimes due to my eyes for some reason soo it's in chinese,Mèngxiǎng "alright time for a spell...*Break the illusion that binds the eyes shut, REM*" as I said this a chain began to form it had a spear form at the tip and using my fist I thrust it at the word, keeping the pyramid hidden from everyone else just as I was near a meter away from the cloud/pyramid my chain began to sway off course chipped a bit off but not enough to fully disable the spell "come on just one.good.hit" I said underneath my breath using both hands in a swaying motion to direct the chains spear tip toward the word and this time I got a huge chunk of the word and as a finishing touch I shouted "Interitus!" (which means decay in latin) as I did a stream of black liquid along the chin to the spear tip jumping over to the remaining letters slowly turning to dust as it did people began to realize what was happening and began to run away even Hadnix looked up surprised at what was happening shouting "WTF,WTF,WTF,..."and like everyone else I began to move back a bit making sure I was away from the line by a couple inches and as the strange landmark began to reach a couple feet from the ground I dispelled the chain and the toxic ooze. I ran towards the crowd and already I heard people asking what was that many saying they saw one thing or another I bet one would believe me that I saw the actual thing, well maybe Hadnix but unlikely no one else would believe me. As the pyramid reaches the ground landing… decently, everyone was nervous ready to fight on the moment something happened. Hadnix was upfront ready to strike first so was I though because using magic, I was a bit drained but I was still capable of fighting at least half a hundred or more enemies. I wanted or was going to say "anything yet" or "your welcome for saving your hides" but neither of two were right at the moment so we all just stood there in silence...took 1 full hour for something to happen than an invisible door open letting a little flying sphere to approach us and...towards me as the rest of the group probably led by Haddix moved around as the sphere just hovered in front of me doing nothing I just said what came to my head which was "Sooo was this a test and if so did I pass?" It took awhile for a response the sphere spoke with an almost femmine tone "yes...Lux Diablo please approach to type your entry code to enter the training room." as it said that a panel made of hard light appeared in front of the door with both numbers and letters as I approach I notice the sphere was too most likely to provide me with the code or verify it once I reached the panel I began tying whispering it to myself "Omega-819"and once I pressed enter the screen went green and the door opened "only Lux Diablo may enter at the time please wait until this bot has arrived the next person will be, Han West" spoke the sphere as went inside *Had West haven't heard that in millinena*I thought while looking back on the past back than Haddix had actually loved his family, he had a great family back before the Traders began to appear the West family was extremely wealthy and popular mostly because the family had ran in the gun making business for the military and were huge sponsors for places like hospitals and etc. But when Haddix was...affected his family disowned him just to keep things happy for the many "friends" in the business. Hadnix was in the hospital with Me comforting him when he got the news the moment he heard that he was forbidden from ever stepping in the family house and using the family name...He went nuts wanting to punch everything on sight and everyone with his new arms. I was able to restrain him at least until the doctors can knock him out after that he resented his family and began to cut ties with anyone from his past including me and his sister Victoria who had tried to help Haddix by finding a place to stay and a job, but he refused and wanted to reinvent himself ,but now I guess he wanted revenge same as everyone here all except me at least I didn't come for vengeance but I came for something a bit more honorable REDEMPTION
