If ones hope was enough..

Star awoke with a pain in her skull. "Ugh, Nano?" She calles out. She opened her eyes and looked around. She was laying on a deep green area of grass, the area was covered in big beautiful trees. "Where am I?" She questioned, she never had seen trees before. "We are in the mortal realm princess." A voice crept into her mind. She turned her head slowly to see her dog demon laying beside her. "I'm finally out of the underworld?" She asked in disbelief. Nano nodded. "But at what Price?" She said out loud. Her heart ached, she felt she wasn't ever going to be okay. "Princess, listen to when I say, the king was never going to allowed his son to live, he might have his blood but his mother was a human. The king despises half breeds. He did this to hurt you, he put Joe in your life to distract your true goal." Nano put in ways to help Star understand this wasn't her fault. Star sat up and confessed " what do I even do know? I have no idea who or what my mother is. What am I. Some of my memories feel blocked. How am I supposed to stop the prophecy, for fucks sake I AM THE PROPHECY!" She started screaming. Nano stood up and went to her and put his head on his shoulders. "Star, please be calm. Don't let your fear control you. We will figure this out. First we must learn the mortal realm." He paused, and glanced at Star. Is she ready? "We should join a guild, but this will be to hell find the forces to help and possibly Star help you learn your ways of the Goddess Nyx." Star looked at him with cold eyes. "Why her? She never helped me when praying to her, I've never even felt her near." She placed her hand to her wrist where a moon crested that was pure black was. "I have a mark of the Goddesses priestess and yet I've never felt close. I don't even know what I am.....she just must of made a mistake."

Nano glared at her, he was actually angry. "Star, stop the foolish attitude. The beloved goddess makes no mistakes. You will see in time child. That mark means more." He said proudly.

Why won't he just fucking tell me? She thought angrily. "Because child, you need to learn hope, love and courage before you are ready."
