43 The Relic Of Knowlege

"Ugh, I may not vocalize it but having my arm cut off hurt like hell." Shen was mostly speaking to himself, along with to Raven who he had slung over his shoulder. He had scared her so badly she began rambling so he decided to knock her out for now. After pushing himself as it took him hours to recover his strength.

'But it's not all bad. Even though I didn't kill her I managed to Level Up twice.

Nearly half of his body was now comprised and made up out of Life Fibers. That was added on top of the fact both Goro Goro No Mi's levels increased along with Life Fiber Manipulation. Yet despite all of that Shen couldn't say he was satisfied. These small gain's weren't going to be enough for what he had planned next.

Looking in the direction of Mistral Shen's lower body transformed into lightning as he began to make his way back.

'If I had to guess both Ozpin and Ironwood should know something is happening in Mistral. Of course, I doubt they know the entirety of Mistral's government is under my control. I even have control of the White Fang…' But it wasn't enough. Despite all the power he had, his movements were too limited.

The truth was, one fact remained clear. If you had enough power, no amount of scheming will ever hinder your plans. So far he had remained in the dark, running things from behind a curtain. If he announced he was in control of Mistral, he would potentially have to fight a war on three fronts.

Plus he would have to deal with the backlash of the people inside of Mistral as well. In the end the even he would end up getting himself killed in that kind of situation. And that wasn't even considering the possibility that the rest of the world would have the other three maidens. However, that was about to change.

It had taken a long time, however, finally, the gears had been set and it was almost time to put the entire machine into work. And it all started with Raven opening the vault to the relic. Although Shen wasn't pushing his speed, he had only been flying for half an hour and he could see Mistral in the distance.

'Looks like my rest took a bit longer than I thought. Well, whatever they should still be there.' Near the top of Mistral was Mistral Academy and that was exactly where Shen was headed. The Academy itself was like its own isolated village. It had tons of buildings ranging from libraries to dorms for students.

However, at the moment, not a single student or teacher was in sight. Looking towards the largest building in the centre of a large quad was the Grand Hall. Shen spotted, Neo already waiting for him patiently. Alongside her was also Lionheart the Headmaster of the Academy who seemed more nervous than anything.

Increasing his speed he rushed down towards them landing on the ground in a matter of seconds. The moment Shen appear Lionheart spotted Raven still unconscious over his shoulder. He knew very well how powerful she was a huntress even without her Maiden powers. However, Shen had still captured her in a single day.

The thought that someone like that existed terrified him, almost more than Salem did.

"Let's not waste any time shall we?" Shen didn't even glance at Lionheart as he walked past him. Neo turned and followed with Lionheart nervously walking behind them. As they made there was into the Grand Hall of the Academy he heard Neo speak to him.

"Are you really ok?" When they were flying back to Mistral as Shen was fighting Raven, they had seen glimpses of the battle. It was intense and almost unreal, to the point even Neo was shocked. Even if Shen looked fine, she couldn't imagine he got away from that unscathed.

"Of course, no need for worry. You played your part wonderfully." Hearing Shen say that along with him complimenting her Neo smiled slightly a nodded. Inside the Grand, Hall were two set's of stairs both attached to the furthest wall leading to the Headmaster's office.

In the centre of these two stairs, however, was a statue of women holding up a circular platform. Wrapped around her were golden chain's which had an empty slot near her chest.

"Unlock it." Shen spoke casually as Lionheart hesitantly nodded and walked ahead towards the statue. Taking out a pocket watch he placed it in the empty slot and it began to wind itself up at an incredible speed. Reacting to it the statue began to fall through the floor lowering the platform it carried to the ground.

It was a hidden elevator that led to the vault hidden deep below in the centre of the Mountain that Mistral was built upon. All of them stepped onto the elevator as it began to slowly make its way downwards. In a few minute's they had arrived.

A large underground chamber, with a stone walkway. Strange plant's with neon orange flower's lived down here and their petals fell constantly. The moment the elevator reached its stopping point an extending circular pattern began to glow blue lighting everything up.

'This place is a lot grander in person than through a monitor.' Glancing around Shen and Neo took a few steps forward before he said something to Lionheart.

"Go and get Salem, tell her we have The Spring Maiden and The Relic Of Knowlege she so desires. Oh and bring one of her Grim down here to speak with me as well." Lionheart seemed surprised to see Shen was sending him away and wanted to speak up.

"I think I shou-" However he found his words stuck in his throat when he saw Neo glaring at him from the corner of her eye. Taking a step back and swallowing what he was going to say he nodded before turning around and getting back on the elevator. With that dealt with Shen continued forward.

The vault itself was a large archway, attached to a wall of rocks. It was sealed by what looked like multiple sheets of a strange glowing orange metal resembling sunflowers. The moment they came within a few meters of the door Shen smiled as he released a discharge of electricity. It immediately found its way to Raven who was on his shoulder.

"Augh! Ahh!" The shock immediately caused her to jolt awake from her unconscious state in a fit of screams. Stopping after a moment he tossed her to the ground. Groaning in pain she slowly looked around until she spotted Shen. Her eyes narrowed in fear as an uncontrollable shiver went through her body.

"Looks like you partially sane again. Good, then you won't mind opening the Spring Maiden's Vault for me right?" Hearing what he said Raven turned to look behind her, spotting the vault door. It only took her a moment to realize what had happened. She had lost, everything she had was gone and now the relic was his.

"Don't even think about teleporting away using your Semblance or trying to fight back. You don't have the strength to do it without me snapping your neck first. Luckily for you, you're more useful to me alive than dead even after I obtain the relic."

Raven glanced at Shen before biting her lip. After a brief second of hesitation, she stood up and walked towards the vault. Holding up her hand to the door she activated her Maiden abilities. Her eye's flared up dimly which activated the vault. Blue patterns appeared on the door with eventually turned white.

Taking a step back everyone watched as slowly the sunflower patterned metal began to slide away piece by piece. When it fully unlocked it revealed something shocking. It looked as if it was an entirely different world behind the door. It had the TARDIS effect housing an area much larger than should be possible.

"Finally…" Waving his hand toward's Raven she couldn't react as multiple Life Fibers shot from his hand's completely wrapped around her body. She couldn't struggle as she fell to the ground and Shen glanced at her.

"Wait there quietly." He wasn't going to risk her closing the vault behind him. It was finally here, the thing he had wanted for so long. An artifact created by God's capable of answering any three questions every hundred years. Although it only had two question left as the other two had been used.

A brief stone walkway led to the Relic which floated in place. It was a lamp covered in golden decoration with a blue orb in the centre. Neo stared at it and the vault in awe as Shen led them towards it. After getting close he spoke a single word.

"Jinn." Saying that name the Relic of Knowlege activated itself. In that instant time stopped around Shen and Neo. The lamp began to float into the air giving off a blue fog. This fog grew and began to take the shape of large blue women with pointed ears and long dark blue hair. She had no clothe's and instead had golden yet broken chains on her hands and ankles.

In all honesty, she reminded Shen of the Djinns from Magi. Floating in the air she stretched her body she letting out a pleasant moan. Afterwards, she smiled and looked down towards both Shen and Neo. However, for some reason, her eye's lingered on Shen in silence for a few seconds.

"How interesting… It seems my knowledge of knowing everything has been proven false on this day. I suppose my creators never suspected we would be receiving a traveller from a universe outside of our own. Tell me who are you?" Shen was actually taken back this time around as he stared at Jinn for a moment before laughing.

"Well, I guess you aren't the Relic of Knowledge for nothing. My name is Shen a pleasure to meet you." Jinn cupped her chin with her hand and nodded.

"I see... I am Jinn a being created by the God Of Light to aid humanity in its pursuits of Knowledge. I can answer three questions every one hundred years, however, one question has already been asked. Now tell me what knowledge is it that you desire?"
