44 Insane

A/N: My bad, Jinn actually had two questions remaining, not one. Also, this chapter is shorter than usual as it is leading into the next and nearly the final part of the RWBY Arc.

"Hmm…" He had thought about what he was going to ask. But he never made a completely solid decision. After all, although his knowledge was limited, it was best not to ask questions that he could 'Extract' from other people. So after a bit of thinking to himself, Shen felt he had come up with what he wanted to ask.

"What and where are the most dangerous places on Remnant. In both the terms of generally speaking and potentially waging war." Jinn's smile seemed to grow the moment Shen finished stating his question.

"That's an interesting way to word a question. Luckily I do my best to give the most satisfying answer's possible." Lying on her side in the air Jinn began to speak to Shen, listing off what he wanted to know. The listing took over an hour, yet Shen listened silently, noting every detail to memory without fail.

"I believe that is all there is." Jinn finished speaking as Shen shifted through his thoughts briefly.

"I gotta say I'm surprised. You even gave in-depth information on the why's of each location despite me not asking for it." Now not only did he know their listing of most to least dangerous, but he also knew for what reasons.

"Although I answer anyone's questions I'm not impartial. I'm interested in seeing what your goal is after being given a little… Push. It's not every day I get to enjoy collecting the knowledge of someone not from this world after all." He was surprised to hear the spirit of an Artifact could have bias. In the end he gave her a calm reply.

"Well good. I can promise you that the next time you're summoned you will be able to enjoy quite the story." Jinn chuckled as she stared at Shen.

"I'll be looking forward to it." After that, her body began to turn back into blue mist in its entirety. Flowing into the Lantern Shen grabbed it from the air as time began to move again. Glancing to his side he saw that Neo was still in a state of shock and confusion. It made sense, she had just learned that Shen wasn't from their world.

"Try not to think about it too hard. Compared to what will be happening in the future the craziness is just getting started." Shen smiled at her before walking out of the Vault handing the lamp over to her. After a while Neo shook her head and followed him, staring at his back with a strange look.

Shen guessed she either now thought he was an Alien or took Jinn's words literally. Either way, it was an interesting concept to think about. As they left the Vault, Raven saw them along with the Lamp in Neo's hands. All kind's of thoughts ran through her head at that moment. At the same time, the elevator leading down to this place began to lower itself.

It was both Lionheart and a Seer. The Grim resembling an orb that Salem is capable of talking through. As the elevator landed Lionheart followed behind the orb.

"I'm glad you were able to make it. As I promised, The Relic of Knowlege. Although sadly all of its questions have been used for the time being." Neo held it in clear view to the Seer Grim as it approached. Soon Salem's voice echoed out into the chamber.

"Hmm… That is a pity. Still trusting you with such a task was the right choice. Sadly I don't have the capability to take it at the moment. For now, you will have to hold onto it." Overall, Shen could tell Salem was quite pleased with the new's.

"Of course. That also brings me to something I wanted to talk to you about. A question really. Why is it that you dont act in the open? Surely revealing your existence would be easier than hiding in the shadows." Hearing the question Salem thought before answering.

"The same reason as yourself. Even I can't fight off the entire world." In the end, it was the same reasoning as Shen's.

"Of course. However what if you had a nation to hide behind? Or to be more precise a nation to reside in publicly?" Shen's offer caught the attention of everyone there. What he was suggesting sounded crazy.

"What do you mean?" Shen looked pleased to answer as he spoke.

"After a brief excursion, I plan on revealing myself. Not only that but I also plan on asserting my control over Mistral fully not just from the shadows. That includes controlling its Military, and its cities. Even its nobles." Salem's voice changed as she spoke again,

"You think you're capable of such a thing?" The question made Shen smile.

"I know I am. Not only that but during this excursion, I will be subjecting the rest of the Faunus on Menagerie and adding them to my forces. I'm sure you can imagine it. An entire race as an army added to the full backing of an already formed Nation?"

"Atlas is controlled by Ironwood, although hell makes tough calls when pushed to the brink he won't risk innocent lives. The same goes for the Headmaster of Beacon in Vale. And if everything goes as planned I would have the entirety of Mistral's innocent population held hostage." As long as they wanted million's of people's blood on their hands they would have to hold themselves back.

"And what if they do decide to wage war?" If they were really pushed to that point what would Shen do then? Hearing the question Shen held his hand out towards Salem's Seer.

"Then they'll be outnumbered. And if you decide to join me then we could add an army of Grim to assist in their destruction. No Kingdom's army would be able to touch Mistral against such force. The Relic's, The Maidens it doesn't matter what it is. We could take them by force. And all it would require is us working together."

Listening to Shen's words were like that of a mad man's. He was suggesting holding off the entire world by holding Mistral, the kingdom as a whole, millions of people hostage. Along with that, he wanted to turn an entire race into a subjugated army. If that wasn't enough, he planned on working alongside an Immortal Witch utilizing Grim as well.

What word other than insane fit that kind of plan?

Yet Salem hadn't wholly brushed off the idea. She was silent for over a minute until everyone heard a laugh. It wasn't cruel or mischievous. It was a pure laugh of amusement.

"Hahaha! I truly believed that I had seen it all… You do understand that your entire plan is based on IF you can accomplish all of this. Otherwise, everything will go up in smoke." Even now, Salem was speaking through a contained laugh. But still, Shen's expression didn't change for a moment.

"Yes, which is why I simply need your guarantee. If I do accomplish what I say, I will be relying on your assistance. And in return, I can rid you of the curse that has plagued you for so very long." Suddenly Salem's hidden laughter died out. An ominous silence came from the Seer.

"I've entertained your foolishness long enough… It seems despite everything you are just a boy. From now on I'll contact you if you're needed." After that, the Seer Grim went utterly silent. A deadpan tension was left in the air as everyone's eyes drifted over to Shen. He looked calm on the surface, but his face had a clear look of mockery plastered onto it.

Either he had expected that response, or he was disappointed that Salem would be so short-sided. The look in Shen's eyes as he glared at the Seer caused Lionheart and Neo, who noticed it, to take a step back instinctively.

'Foolish Well, see about that. Its only a matter of time now. You'll come crawling back to me on your own volition before long. And that's when I'll use you to your fullest before granting you the death you so dearly wish for.'

"Well then, come alone Neo. We have things to do. And Lionheart, have Raven close the Vault and then bring her up after us." This was probably the first time Neo had actually been scared of Shen. She was following him; however she looked nervous. Even she couldn't believe what she had heard, stacked onto the fact she learned the truth about him.

It was difficult to digest to say the least. In the end, as they made their way onto the elevator Neo looked towards Shen and asked him a question. One a lot of people most likely wanted to know.

"In this world… What is your goal? When do you consider it all finally over with and done?" Hearing the question Shin put his hand on his chin looking up blankly.

"Well… From the way, thing's are going. It looks like the end will be when I kill God of this world. Sounds fun don't you think?"
