02 Can't Give Up

"Damn, I have to give in first. Watch out, I'll make you unable to move. Don't expect with the power you can trample on me." Eli was determined in her heart. She smiled mysteriously.

"So this is the girl of your choice, Yorris?"

Elisabeth's appearance has changed. Beautiful dresses, face made up, the body gets the treatment like a high-class person. Eli's appearance already resembles a famous actress. The glasses that the woman used to wear had not even been seen changing contact lenses.

It certainly adds to the appeal of Elizabeth. Only one word to describe Eli's appearance, beautiful and sweet.

Eli's graceful appearance and her efforts to fit the appearance of an upper-class family were not enough to convince Yorris's parents.

The proof is that the middle-aged woman asks tough questions about the life of Eli who will become her future son-in-law.

"What's your occupation?"

Eli looked up. Her tears almost fell remembering the dialogue-setting scenario that Yorris had determined. Eli's job was just to follow the scenario. The woman was required to become an impromptu actress only with a period of practice for about a few hours. That time when Eli had her face made up by a beauty salon employee.

Nervous while swallowing the saliva that felt stuck in her throat, in the end after organizing her heart and clearing her mind, Elizabeth answered Yorris' mother's question.

"Online novelist," Eli answered loudly. There was neither fear nor worry in her.

Yorris was shocked. The feeling is twofold. First, Eli didn't follow the setting that Yorris had set. Second, Yorris even found out that Eli was not unemployed, but was an online novelist.

"No time to be surprised, she messed up my plans," Yorris said to himself. Had his mother not been among them, Yorris would have hit Eli in the head.

That woman messed up all the plans that Yorris had devised in such a way!

Eli should have said she was working as Yorris' assistant.

"What is your monthly salary?"

"Two million." Eli looked down and then looked up to see Mrs. Jordan. "I'm sorry Mrs. Jordan, I know you want the best for your son to be happy. Right now I'm just confused, do you want to see Yorris happy or are you calculating the benefits of marriage to add to the welfare of life? Though I think the Jordans are already very successful."

The old man in front of him Eli gasped in surprise. Eli spoke harshly and certainly not politely.

"My salary is not big, not comparable to your son. But as long as he and I can manage the finances, plus we love each other, isn't that enough to convince you, Mrs. Jordan?"

The two people in the room just blinked repeatedly. Someone didn't understand the situation, that person was Yorris. A big question mark appeared in Yorris' head.

Since when was Eli good at acting?

Yorris and his mother were shocked. The struggle of thoughts brought Yorris from the subconscious back to the real world. Elisabeth had just spoken rudely to Mrs. Jordan!

With all awareness, Yorris had to stop Eli's impudent attitude.

"Keep your manners, Elisabeth." Yorris's low voice took over. Managed to make Eli startled.

Yorris thought he had picked the wrong person to be his contract wife, but they had come that far.

If fail, Yorris will have difficulty carrying out his mission of taking revenge on the woman who should be his wife.

Yorris's fate is indeed very sad. He was cheated on by his future wife.

"Forgive me," Eli answered awkwardly. She smiled uncomfortably at Yorris and Mrs. Jordan. In some circumstances, Eli was also not used to speaking harshly. Elisabeth is a polite and kind woman. The instinct to maintain self-respect made Eli lose control of herself.

Mrs. Jordan nodded in understanding. She understood the situation. Looks elegant according to her appearance, Mrs. Jordan smiled faintly at Eli.

Eli waited for what her future mother-in-law would say. Before hearing the old woman's words, Eli didn't want to be happy just yet. There were still many things bothering her.

"You not yet pregnant?"

Eli looked to the side and so did Yorris. The two of them looked at each other. Needless to say, a blush naturally appeared on each of Eli's and Yorris' cheeks.

Yorris felt compelled to stop the nonsensical conversation. He's fed up. Inwardly Yorris cursed Eli. There's no way he'd be tempted by a flat body like Eli's board!

Yorris like a beautiful woman and has the curves of a Spanish guitar. Eli's demeanor and rude manner of speech made the woman even more pointless.

All bad things gathered entirely on Elisabeth.

"That's enough Mom. I know the rules, even if we did, I'd be careful not to have anything untoward happen and there would be a baby between us."

Eli was speechless. She didn't like Yorris talking dirty about her. Sex is not a good thing for them to think about.

"Hey, watch your mouth. I'm not a woman who easily gives up my body to someone who's not my husband. Remember, you're a candidate, not yet a husband."

"Ha ha ha."

There was laughter followed by applause. The enmity between Yorris and Eli stopped that instant.

The two God's creatures of different sexes became awkward. Imagine, Yorris's mother laughed at Yorris and Eli's behavior as if they were watching a very enjoyable theater performance titled a romantic comedy.

"Calm down Elisabeth. Mom was just making sure, I'm sorry if Mom offended you. Please don't take it to heart."

"Very unfriendly," Eli concluded in her heart. She wanted to babble so much. If she didn't remember that the person in front of him was the future mother-in-law, it was very likely that Eli was angry.

"Okay, Mom."

Without a doubt, the words 'mom' just came out of Eli's mouth. Besides being kind, saving, loving and polite, Eli is also confident. Shyness is not one of Eli's traits.

Eli's act of calling out to his mother invited Yorris' faint smile.
