Emily's POV

"Em, calm down. Everything is going to be alright. Okay? " Mia said while hugging me

"I don't know Mia, but I feel something terrible is going to happen"

"Nothing will happen. He is your childhood bestfriend. You aren't marrying any stranger. Everything will be alright"

Ryan Daniel. He is my childhood bestfriend. It has been 15 years since we saw each other. We always text, we haven't seen each other. I don't know how he looks like. After my parents death, I've been staying alone.

I love Ryan so much. He promised he'll marry me one day. And today is the day. We are going to get married without his parents permission. His parents hates me, I don't know what I've done. Maybe it's because of my parents-

"Em, Everyone deserves something good. You've been through a lot of Shit. But today, your life is going to change. Just stop over thinking about it okay? We are going to be late. We should go now" she said and dragged me from my apartment.

After a while, we reached the church.

"Shouldn't we let Ryan know where you are?" Mia asked

"Yes. I'll text him now" I said and took out my mobile. After sending the text, I kept it inside

Me and Mia climbed up the stairs to the church. When we reached the front door, I saw that the doors are shut.

"Why are the doors closed? Don't tell me the church is closed already"

Mia ran to the guard. After a moment, she came back breathing heavily.

"Well, we are late and apparently there are some other mistakes too. He said to wait" Mia said catching her breath

After a while,

"why are they taking so much time?where is your groom?" Mia asked

"I don't know"

Just then a car drives up

"I think the groom has arrived" Mia said

I watched two men getting out of the car.

"Who's the groom? " She asked

Just then the taller guy calls out a name,

"Look that guy is Ryan. The other guy just said his name" Mia said pointing towards the guy who was good looking.

"I'm the church clerk. Are you the bride?" a young slim man asked me.

I nodded and he handed me the form. I wrote my name.

"I arranged two marriages at the same time" clerk said

"Listen a misunderstanding has occured. So if you want to get married today. You have to hurry up"the clerk continued

We nodded.

"Okay. Now go inside. Oh and where is your groom? "

"There, who's standing beside BMW car"

"Okay. Get inside fast" the clerk said

We went inside the church. Mia handed me the veil. I hid my face inside the veil. She gave a quick hug and I breathed heavily.

"Here's the groom. The most handsome smartest man in the world" the guy who was looking like a cartoon said.

"I think that's Ryan's friend. He bought him as a witnesss" Mia whispered in my ear.

Soon the minister appeared with the clerk.

"Hello everyone. As we all know We are here to perform the sacred ritual of marriage today" the priest spoke

"Does anybody have any objection?" he asked

"No" Mia and cartoon face guy said in unison.

"This marriage is contracted between Ryan-"

"Sorry for interrupting, the clerk said we don't have enough time. We already know their full names. So let's get started" cartoon face said

"yes sir he is right." the clerk said

Priest looked really annoyed.

"So miss, do you take this handsome gentleman as your wedded husband?" priest asked

"I do" I replied.

"And sir, do you take this beautiful girl as your wedded wife? "

"I do" he replied

We didn't get time to read the marriage documents before signing.

"You are married now sir. You may kiss the bride"

Ryan came closer.

This is the moment I've been waiting for. My hands started shaking.

He smiled and slowly lifted my veil. Our eyes met for the first time. His smile disappeared and his eyes widen in shock.

"Who the hell are you?!" Ryan yelled, I was really shocked to hear.

"Hey fake bride, who are you?" cartoon face asked

"Shut up cartoon face, she's not a fake bride. Aren't you Ryan Daniel?" Mia asked

"No he's Ryan chase"

Here I am, married to a stranger.

"She's not my bride and will never be" Ryan yelled

"tear the documents" I yelled

"Unfortunately, the law won't agree. You both are legally married. According to the law, you both should live at least 6 months together to file an annulment"

"No way" We both screamed
