Chapter 21 - The Mission

As they made that deal, a green rune shot to the lower part of his waist. It moved around as if trying to find something before settling in a specific spot.

'I guess it is taking up the spot where my organ should appear.'

Were the thoughts of Kaiden as he moved his eyes on the Trosven family patriarch who sat back down and removed the barrier with a satisfied smile.

Suddenly a presence of a powerful figure closed in on the area at a fast pace.

"That old bastard seems to care for you a lot or sees the use you will have in the potential future."

The Trosven patriarch said casually and as a warning to Kaiden.

Kaiden just nodded before the patriarch tapped his chair and a bright formation lit up under Kaiden and he was forced to close his eyes to keep his Mage Mind from the uneasiness he felt on it.

When Kaiden opened his eyes he saw the sun going down and looked up to see his patriarch looking at him.

Kaiden gave a helpless smile as he looked at his patriarch, who had his brows furrowed, he then grabbed Kaiden and set him on the platform of air he was standing on and went in the direction of the Gremmen castle.

No words were exchanged during that time, the two were completely quiet as they were heading toward the Castle at a fast speed.

Kaiden sighed and looked down, he was secretly excited to walk on the very air itself. It was something he would be able to do as a Champion Level Mage after all.

As he was looking that down at the forest, he noticed something fit very snugly on his left pinky.

'A dimension ring!'

Kaiden thought with immense surprise. He didn't notice it on his hand until now and greed started to fill his eyes as he inspected the inside of it to see its contents.

When Kaiden looked inside the ring he saw a variety of mythical beast corpses, enchanted plants, and minerals.

'Hmm, this is about 35 by 35 feet. I like it, my first and personal Dimensional Ring.'

Kaiden had a little smirk on his face looking at his first-ever Dimensional Ring. A little pride was in that little smirk. Then he noticed some items in the corner of the space and went to see what they were.

'A small stash of pills and potions, there is a note here too.'

Kaiden was interested in what the items helped with but he focused on the note since it could be important to him.

"'These should help your Elemental Organ easily enter the next rank, refill your Mystic Sea at a high rate when you use it up, and heal your body if you receive irreversible damage by normal standards'"

'He wants to be on my good side and have me help him even after I finish with this. The drugs are up to the third level too, maybe I will throw in more runes as a thank you.'

Kaiden had a big smirk thinking how easy he will have it when he finally leaves the Gremmen family.

"I don't remember ever giving you a Dimensional Ring, where, perchance, did you receive it?"

The patriarch asked applying a bit of pressure while keeping his eyes ahead.

"I stole it from the thieves that killed a few of the Trosven family heirs and guards. I also had their patriarch pay me for saving a good heir of theirs. I sought a great benefit for our family and I will be giving you some of the materials for making sure I was trained well."

Kaiden lied through his teeth as he spoke those words, looking expressionless from his previous smirk.

The patriarch only smiled and sped up their travel.

It didn't take more than ten minutes to reach the castle. The speed of a Champion Level Mage is incredible after all, especially at the last stage, and is beyond what thought possible as they can cross the continent in only a few hours at full speed without a spell!

Though the patriarch had to be slow enough for Kaiden not to experience any type of whiplash.

Before Kaiden could start walking away to look at his gains his patriarch coughed to catch his attention.

"Oh Kaiden, I believe you said you would be giving the family a good portion, did you not?"

'This bastard..'

Kaiden couldn't help but complain in his head as he turned around and followed his smiling patriarch.

They walked into the throne room and into the room behind the throne. When they entered it the patriarch threw strange coins on the ground, but before Kaiden could inspect them a pressure filled his Mage Mind making him close his eyes.

He fended it off easily after a few seconds and when he opened his eyes he couldn't help but widen them in awe.

What he saw was a massive room that had riches everywhere he looked. He could see hundreds of weapons that seemed to carry power in them, thousands of books and scrolls that he could easily guess what they might be, many mythical beast corpses, many potions and pills, and so many gold coins he couldn't even begin to guess the amount in them.

Though the gold was overshadowed by the strange coins he saw his patriarch throw earlier before the teleport.

"You're probably wondering about those, aren't you? We call them Magnma Credits, they are used by mages more than the simple bronze, silver, gold, and platinum coins. They also amount to ten times the value of one platinum coin.

Kaiden nodded and he wave his hand to send a few corpses and minerals to land on the ground.

'These are the least expensive in my ring, for my experiments, so I'm not losing too much.'

"These are most of the things I got from them. As you already guessed, I assume, I am keeping a little extra as my own for my experiments."

Kaiden's patriarch just nodded with a slight grin waving his hand to send the corpses and minerals into their respective area.

"Before we leave, I figured I should tell you about this place."

Kaiden immediately became interested and listened with eagerness.

"All of this was left to us by our family's God, he wanted us to live wealthy and strong. He built this place to keep the corpses in their peak condition and not rot, and even keep the other items you see at their peak too!"

"He is also the reason that we are not under the control of The Royals nor Empire. He created a formation and many runes to protect our castle and the village, though this castle has an extra formation to protect our family members. When he ascended, we were attacked by The Royals as they were after what a God could have left behind for us."

Kaiden's patriarch told the story of the Gremmen God that left this mortal plane and he listened attentively to not miss anything, he was curious about this for a while now after all.

The patriarch sighed and threw some credits on the ground making both him and Kaiden appear inside the throne room.

"Alright, go rest and prepare to finish your body nourishment method. It will be a painful process, I hope you live, for the family."

"Oh, here, you can enter the vault whenever you believe you may need things to help, just know I will tax you and you will do missions assigned by me today for the things you take."

The patriarch dismissed Kaiden, giving him one hundred of the credits, as he sat down and closed his eyes in deep thought.

Kaiden just bowed and left for his training room. When he entered the room he took his knife, which still had some of the Level 1 Mage's blood on it, and scraped it into an empty vial.

He then slit his wrist and poured his own blood into the vial. when it was almost full he stopped and wrapped his wrist up.

'I know I should not fuck with an already dangerous nourishment method, but everything is telling me I must do this.'

Kaiden thought before remembering every single blood-lusted thought he had when he was Jay. When he did, his astral projection, in his Mage Mind, took some of the Mystic Waters, with those thoughts, and poured it into the vial forcing them to mix.

His focus increased as his Mystic Sea was drained at high speed to contain the contents in the vial.

Eventually, It fused and he sighed in relief as he laid on the floor drained.

'This reminds me of the days I felt no motivation other than sleep. Though I also was in the time when most people didn't have any either.'

Kaiden laughed to himself thinking of his weak days, although most others would consider those weak days their strongest since he was still fighting during that time.

'I feel it though, my bloodlust, I can have more power with this since I mixed it with that Mage.'

Those were his thoughts as he was slowly drifting to sleep, but before he could a loud knock occurred forcing him to get up.

When he opened the door Jocke and a little blonde-haired girl with bright golden eyes were there.

Kaiden lightly bowed before asking the reason for Jocke's visit to his room.

"I'm here to give you a mission, you can complete it after you finish your nourishment method."

A nasty smile appeared before disappearing and pointing at the girl.

"Also, this is our little sister."
