demon attack

time went by after Merlin and Sora fought, a month later the 5 moons were all high up in the sky shining a blood red. the tournament quickly began and humans all over the world gathered to watch the 12 strongest people who passed.

the first match was between Sora and a young man known as Red. he had blood-red eyes and gave off a strange aura, as Sora walked on stage as he looked at him

"you seem strong, I hope you don't disappoint." He said with a smile, Sora calmly closed his eyes. ignoring him, Red eyes narrowed as he waited for the match to start. the second it did, he reached out a blood shot from his body turning into a spear. just as he was about to attack, the world suddenly shook as a huge portal appeared in the sky.

everyone looked into the sky and saw as waves of demons fell out of the portal. the coward isn't jumped to their feet as their face twisted as they realized what was happening.

the demon ream was evading their world, but they were on good terms with the demon's realm. they were even going to work together to take down the demon race.

suddenly a huge spear of demon energy flew towards them, the powerful experts didn't think twice as they shot up to stop this attack.

'no peaceful takeover, I guess spending my name on a battlefield will work as well. this is what they get for going out of their way to get so connected with the demon realm, it seems they waited for the 5 moons to turn red as this made it easier for them to cross over.' Sora thought calmly as he began changing up his plans slightly.

the powerful experts were quickly overwhelmed by the number of demons. the sky was filled with demons, along with countless A-rank demon soldiers leading the charge.

Merlin who had returned to looking like an old man frowned as she waved her hands. a staff appeared in her hands, and as she stabbed it onto the ground, runes appeared all over the kingdom blocking off the demon from attack.

"I sense your lands are under attack, I didn't expect that my actions will be playing to their hands. but thats behind us now, I shall take full responsibility, for now, we need to push them back." Merlin said seriously as the leaders of each kingdom stood. Merlin suddenly frowned as he felt someone looking at him,

looking over, he saw Sora looking at him. Sora almost cursed, her acting can full others but she had this spell planned out. this meant she knew they will attack, she planned to put the human's life in danger. she will truly do anything for her dreams of gaining that magic, no matter how many people.

Heros was raised doing wars, if a war broke out more and more talents will raise. more ways to kill will be discovered, and magic will once again go through a new transformation.

Sora didn't care about the war she seemly just started it would make Elize take over the throne more smoothly. what annoyed him was that she did this without going through him first, she was unstable, ruthless, and cunning. Sora would honestly kill her, but her ability and wisdom are something he wanted. so he will keep her around.

the king of the Rasha kingdom quickly took the lead in everything. in no time, soldiers were gathered along the city walls, waiting for the barrier to be broken through.

the children were quickly taken to safety, while everyone else began making plans on how they will return to their kingdom and land support.

Sora stood within his family castle while looking at the demon attacking the barrier. the sky was filled with demons attacking the barrier, weakening it with every blow

'can the demon have this manpower to lunch an attack like this? there are at least 500 thousand demons above us. it's safe to say the demons want to destroy the strongest kingdom, it also would be a good move as the kings of many kingdoms was here. If they would take them all out, it would be an easy win... but why humans?' Sora thought with a deep frown as he turned towards Elize, Jiku, Turo, and Olivier who had followed him.

Jiku also didn't see this coming, Merlin had blocked him from seeing words that this attack was happening. with Jiku being countless times weaker, he never even felt a thing.

"The barrier will be destroyed in 30 minutes, this city is going to be destroyed. I expect many royal families are already planning their escape will others hold them off." Sora said calmly, stunning the group

"Elize I will expect you to take charge then, many will die but it will be up to you to stabilize everything," Sora said calmly, Elize bites her lips slightly as she nodded slightly.

Sora pulled out a map of the whole city and gave it to her, Elize closely studied the map and began making a plan,

30 minutes later, the barrier was shattered. a huge amount of demons fell from the sky and were met by countless arrows, and spells from below.

demons fell to the ground, destroying and crushing the thing they fell on, be it human or building. the demon was all human size, the weaker ones came in all sizes and colors, while the stronger ones looked more human-like in appearance, with some small stuff like horns or tail.

the humans were quickly overwhelmed, slaying a demon an easier said than done. even if you were on the same level as a demon in power, the demon is born with stronger resistance towards magic than a normal human.

the can last longer, and take more of a beating, those demons which fell to the ground quickly stood and began their battle. the humans were pushed back to the heart of the kingdom, and many people were lost.

"The soldiers face quickly twisted when they realized that many nobles had fled, the empire's face was enraged with this but he had to stand before his army and push back these soldiers.

"thats enough," Merlin said with a frown as she stood before the army, the soldiers sighed relief seeing Merlin.

Merlin pointed her staff into the sky as she used dragon magic and began killing the demons. everyone was amazed, although the soldiers did kill some demons the number was nothing compared to Merlin who had killed at least a few thousand with a simple attack

"The rumors were true, an S rank mage was living among humans." a demon with long bat wings said with a smile as he floated towards Merlin. Merlin frowned as this guy was an S rank magic,

"Why are you attacking the humans?" Merlin asked coldly, the demon shrugged as he had the demons surrounded Merlin and attacking her. Merlin quickly began fighting back but was overwhelmed, when he was too injured to even stand the demon slowly walked towards him

"how weak," He said as he cut Merlin's head off with his sharp claws, as his head fell on the ground he stepped on it crushing it below his feet.

"slaughter everything in this kingdom, I like the castles, so don't damage them too much." The Demon said with a twisted smile as he looked at the emperor who was horrified.

another battle broke out, and the humans fought for days as the king was taken away to safety. but as the king left, Elize saw this as a movement to move.

as the soldiers accepted their fate, Elize suddenly appeared on a building

"don't give up. you are all soldiers of the Rasha kingdom, you are not allowed to go down without taking at least one demon with you." She said catching everyone's attention as she jumped down with a sword in her hands.

"I may be weak, but I will not let my empire... my people be slaughtered while I just watch. who will fight alongside me?" She cried out as she looked at the soldiers, but they all looked at her with complicated looks she was only 11 years old. just as a soldier was about to step forward to allow this grave princess to get to safety, Olivier walked to Elize's side

"count me in, I will not let you go and die on your own," Oliver said with a smile as she looked at the demons. Sora and Jiku also stepped forward as they stood in front of the soldiers, who were moved by this new generation, they were really the best of them.

Just when Elize was about to speak, Olivier pulled out her sword and rushed into the demons who were watching on with mocking looks.

a demon held its palm out as a black magic circle appeared before it, it shot a black beam at Olivier, but the attack was nullified before it could reach Olivier.

Olivier waved her hand as that same type of magic covered her sword. With a blood thirst look, she jumped into the army of demons and began killing them with all kinds of magic, while nullifying every spell launched at her. Sora had a slight vein as he looked at her, they had a plan for a reason.

"let's join her," Elize said as she rushed forward, Jikus nodded as he was the first to such forward. all of the demon weapons suddenly turned to ashes as time was spent up on them, but Jiku reversed time recreating them, before taking hold of them and passing them to the soldiers.

"with these demon weapons, you can all kill them, now let's go," Elize yelled as she held a demon sword as pointed forward, the soldiers all looked at each other before rushing forward with a war cry.

Sora stood at Elize said as they both watched the battle which was slowly turning in their favor. Elize looked at Sora slightly, she wanted to fight along with her people as well. Sora nodded slightly as he placed his palm on her and used enchantment magic on her, giving her a power-up.

She nodded before rushing into the group of demons and also began slaughtering them, with Sora close by.

the S rank demon frowned as he looked at all of this, their side weapons had been turned to askes. Even their spells would be nullified by Olivier and even Jiku who spend time up on their magic or turned back the clock on them.

He gritted his teeth as his eyes were set on Elize, it was because of her after all. she suddenly appeared and give these soldiers hope to win, the demons and humans were not that far apart in strength. it's just that the demons' resistance towards magic, and this being a surprise attack caused them to have the upper hand.

sounds of horses sounded like a group of knights on horseback heading this way. from the right side, a group of mages heading this way was gathering together to cast a spell.

the king also appeared once more with backup, although retreated, he was not the type of king to just leave behind his people. he simply went to gather reinforcement while Sora's grandparents kept him safe.

"don't underestimate the humans. as you see, you will come to greatly regret it... Sora kills that bastard." Elize said as she pointed to the S rank demon above. Sora calmly looked at the S rank mage, before looking back at Elize. when did she start ordering him around like that?

"Please." She said in a soft voice, Sora nodded as he floated up towards the S rank demon.

"Before I kill you, what's your name?" Sora asked calmly as his spear appeared in his hands.

"haha, you think you can kill me? Do you think because I haven't made a move that i'm a pushover? i'm an S rank warrior. I simply didn't want to hurt my man." the demon said as its body transformed, turning from a human-like appearance, into a demonic bat-looking form.

the pressure of an S rank spread out, causing everyone to shake in horror. Sora calmly released his power to protect the human from this pressure

"Sora, get away from that thing." Sora's father yelled seeing Sora was foolish enough to fight a demon with that power.

the demon opened its mouth, its sound let out a loud sound magic made all who heard it soul shake. this was sound magic, one which allows the demon to release a sound capable of putting all who hear it under a person's control.

the demon's eyes widened seeing how everyone's mind was of no effect. Olivier had nullified this magic, making the demon enraged, just as he was about to shoot towards her his eyes twitched as he heard Sora's muscles moving.

He quickly moved as he blocked Sora's spear before he was sent flying backward slightly from the sudden attack. before looking at Sora in shock

"your battle is with me, Sir nobody. put up a good fight, give me a good warm-up." Sora said with a smile, the demon snorted seeing Sora flying towards him. such Sora speed.

His claws grew as he clawed forwards towards Sora, but Sora dodged with a hears breath, the bat demon's eyes widened as he was kicked in the stomach by Sora's leg, and was sent shooting into the clouds.

'how is this possible, he is only showing mid-A rank level speed, there is no way he should be able to react to me. i'm countless times stronger than a Mid-A rank.' He thought as he removed the book from the side of his cheek. when Sora kicked him, he sent magic into his stomach, negating his defense and doing some serious damage

"How are you doing this?" He asked with gritted teeth as Sora slowly floated towards him. Sora smiled slightly as he looked at him

"doing what? reacting to something more than 10 times as strong as myself?" Sora asked with a smile, Sora had reached the peak of combat. even if someone was far stronger and faster than him, Sora could predict your every move and move in the best way possible.

of course, his body was being pushed to limits to react to such a fast level of speed. but all of this plus the fact he could see a person's next move, along with him having the ability Unperceivable Attacks. it made it so that this guy couldn't read his attacks that well.

Sora waved at the demon to come at him, the demon was enraged before he held his hand in the air, a huge black ball appeared before he threw it at Sora.

the ball was a small moon in size. if it landed on the ground it will destroy not just the whole kingdom, but the whole continent will be reshaped by this attack. this was not the true power of S rank or else the whole continent could be destroyed

the demon's face paled seeing their leader was planning on taking them down along with the humans. Sora calmly waved the spear in his hands, hitting the black ball.

time seemed to freeze before the attack was suddenly reflected back at the demon. the demon didn't have time to defend and was instantly swallowed by his own attack.

a shock wave spread out, but it headed towards outer space. Smoke filled the sky blocking out the bat demon, slowly the smock cleared, and even saw the bat demon was barely floating while covered in heavy injuries.

"w-who are you." He said weakly, Sora calmly threw the spear in his hands, stabbing through the chest of the demon, killing it before its body began to slowly disappear.

Holding his hand out, the spear flew back into his hands as Sora flew back down to the ground before everyone's shocked and stunned eyes.

"let's finish off these guys," Elize said snapping everyone out of their shock, everyone quickly began attacking the demons which was a shock. but the demons quickly retreated, as they flew off into the sky. they didn't follow but instead began looking at those citizens who were injured and finding them help.

"When were you so strong?" Sora's father asked in shock, Sora smiled slightly.

"i'm a man meant to slay the gods, I was blessed with high talents," Sora said with a smile, his father was confused but this was not the time to ask.

everyone quickly began looking at the numbers of death, shockingly, over 100 thousand lives were lost today. this was a heavy amount of lives, adding the fact that Merlin had died, this left the emperor highly stressed. which Elize stepped forward to help the king take charge, everyone was moved by her actions today. and with how she had Sora and Olivier at her side, many people began following her as if she was the queen.

later that night, Sora calmly stood on top of the castle while looking at the soldiers rebuilding the destroyed buildings. slowly Merlin appeared behind him

"I didn't expect you to be so powerful, that last counter of yours even shocked me." She said with a smile, Sora calmly turned to look at her

"don't be mad, I already had these pans long before we had our deal, I simply used that as a chance to kill 'Merlin' off so I can force my time on you. you also can't give him a righteous speech, you could have acted whenever you wanted, but the choice is the best time to make Elize look heroic. we both are not so different." She said with a smile,

"the next time you do something like this without going through me once, I will kill you. you're not your own boss now, i'm the boss. keep telling yourself that I haven't seen your full power, as if you have seen mine, and see where that leads you." Sora said coldly, Merlin frowned slightly as she looked at Sora. Sora's words hit home as she overlooked that small part, she never saw Sora's true power and always expected she was stronger.

"what type of knight are you?" She asked softly, Sora was nothing like a knight should be, he should be righteous, and fight for the people. not just use them as pawns

"my word views are above simply knights. one can not save everyone, suffices are needed for the greater good. I fight not to protect the people but to restore the balance in this world. I'm not loyal to this kingdom, but to the kingdom, I will soon build. I will make a land where all races can live together, a kingdom filled with knowledge and magic..." Sora said calmly
