1 Chapter 1: The Start of the Gamer
It was a Monday when I died. I did my usual routie, which was basically working all morning till about 4pm when I get off work. Once I was off, I headed home to my three story house. Once there I would make myself something to eat, normally it would be something simple like a PB&J sandwich. I would then jump on the game that ive been playing for close to 10 years now. But that day I had to stay at work a bit longer then expected, landscaping was simple enough if the weather stays sunny, since it rained that meant over time.
Any who, I'm sure your asking yourself, who is this character that's talking. The answer to that simply question is Xander Wolf. I'm not your average Joe that you see walking around. I'm a lean built, a decent looking face with a Viking looking hair and beard. Ive always had an interest in Viking since it ran in my veins. Ive got a mix of dirtyblonde with strawberry blonde for my hair color and a ginger color beard. Ive got tattoos that cover my whole entire back and both my forearms. The forearms tattoos are just tribe sleeves while my back tattoos have a story of how I was raised up.
Anywho, my IRL isnt what you want to hear about. What your interested in is my story about how I was revived into my own body ten years ago. To tell you the truth, I'm still asking myself that myself that question too because that is what just happened to me. The last thing I remember was that I had just logged into the game when I had a longsword stabbed into my forehead as I enter the game, and before I knew it I woke up ten years earlier. I know this because I am in an old apartment I used to live in right before the game, Heaven and Earth Midevil Times, was about to release in the next day or so. I had already had my Pod setup so the moment the game was released I could jump in it. At the time I had plenty of money to spare since I had more jobs then I could count just to be able to buy and fully pay the price for the Pod and the game and still have plenty of money left to maybe spend on the things I needed or wanted.
Now, im not a rich guy, so dont go thinking damn this guy is living the life. Because I'm not, I live an apartment that has the highest crime rate on the block. luckily I dont get bothered by anyone because I live alone and hardly interact with people.
Back in the past life of what happens to me in the ten years in the future I grew out of that life and had a guild that I ran. We werent the best or well known but we did good all ten years. Only issue I would say that we had was how much members we had. We dreaded the GVG events, GVG stands for Guild VS Guild in case y'all are wondering, because at max we had not more then maybe 20 people in our Guild.
This time though I plan to use my ten years of experience to create the Number 1 guild in the game. And I know how I can do it faster then any legacy guilds out there. This is were I will begin the story so sit down or even lay down and enjoy the story.
"What the freaking hell just happened? Last I saw I had just logged into the game to start playing and next thing I know I have a long sword stabbed into my head." I say as I wake up in my bed in an apartment I hardly recognise. I look around and I see that I'm back in my dark apartment that I had left behinde about 9 years ago.
"How the heck did I get back here?" I ask myself as I look down and see that I'm back into my younger body. I stand up to see if this is real because if so, then great that means I got a redo on my life and with everything I remember from my previous life I can do a few minor changes that I would regret if I couldn't in my previous life. Once I start walking around I decided that it had to be real and so I got dressed and headed out. I was off this day so I spent the day going to the nearest game shop, which is called The Gamer Center, and I bought a few things for the game. As I'm walking into the store I noticed the game was going to be released in a few hours and not in a couple of days like I thought so I hurried into the game shop and went to the clerk who was there.
"Hey Xander, what can I get you today?" Said Tracey, she was one of my guild members in the previous life and she was great at the game, as she looks at me with a smile that could break a mans heart. She was what most guys call a man killer. She had a perfectly shaped body where as her attitude was always the perky kind. She had long blonde hair that went down to her shoulder blade, even in a ponytail it was that long, and had a few tattoos herself.
"Nothing much, just came by to buy a few things to give me an edge in the new game thats coming out in a few hours." I say as I look over the packs they sold. Cheapest one was for $10 while the most expensive one was about a grand.
"Oh, that would be wise so you wouldnt have to grind as hard as everyone else would. So which pack do you want?" she asked as she pulls up the pack list on her computer.
I sit and think for a moment before I answer her back. " ima take two Grandmaster packs and two of the cheapest packs and that will be all. Hopefully I can get a few good Pets from the Grandmaster."
"Right, your going to be a beastmaster right?" she asks as she rings up my price. "Thats going to be a total of $2020."
"Yeah, ive always liked them better then the typical styles." I say as I pay for it. "Maybe you can join me when you get off work?"
"Sure. Just let me know where you are when I join you." She says smiling at me as I leave.
I walk back into my apartment and I lay down and think till in is close to 10 mins till the launch of the game. I stand up and get into the Pod and log into my account and wait for the game to be launched. While I'm waitting I mess around with my Avatar since to play the game you have to have an Avatar to play it.
There are alot of types of Avatars you can pick from and I have always like the idea of a Beastman because its a part beast and part man looking type of Avatar. You could have a Characteristic of a wolf where your sense of smell and hearing and sight is that of a wolf but you wouldn't see just in black and white or walk on all fours only. Best of both worlds in my book at least. So as I'm creating my Avatar I make it look more wolfish by allowing the wolves ear and tail being displaced and the fur to be a black, gray, and white mixed. I puff out my chest and legs alittle bit more then I do in real life and add a few cool looking tattoos on my body where I have ones IRL.
Once im done creating my Avatar I notice I got five seconds till the release and I quickly press on the game so the moment it is launched im already loading into the game.
Once the game is loaded and I look around to get used to the game style of how to control my character I smile as I go into my inventory. "Inventory." I say to open it and I see four packages that I had just bought.
Now to explain in the simplest terms of how the packages work is there is a small chance to get Mythical teir skills, weapon, pet, armor, or class. the Class I'm hoping to get is the Beastmaster. It's not a Mythical class but rather a Legendary class. And Legendary class items in the grandmaster package is roughly about a 5% chance. Unlike other games where you have to go to a NPC to get a class to start off with or go by the stats you play with, in this game you have to earn even the simplest Class such as Warrior, priest, scout, or mage.
Now there are some like myself who dont mind buying packages to ease that rough grinding for the class we want. And since I wanted to hurry along to the higher levels I choose the easiest route to take. Each Grandmaster package has roughly 20 bottles of Huge Exp potions in them, roughly 2k in gold and you get a weapon, armor, class, or pet by luck. As fot the cheapest package, it was really to get simple gears that I could use to get stronger as I grind out my levels. I normally don't like to use Exp bottles because I dont know when I would need them.
I click on one of the Grandmaster Package and it pops right out into my hand.

I press the Accept button and the package in my hand starts to unfold itself and in my hand I see a slot machine pop up. I pull the lever down and push it back up to active it. As I'm waiting to see what I get from it I look at my inventory box and see the 2k in gold in it with my 20 bottles of exp. Smiling an devilish grin I look back at the slot machine as it shows a pet, a sword, and a class card. The next thing I know the slot machine is gone and I dont see anything in my hand so I look into the inventory and see the things I got from it was placed into it. I click on the pet icon and look at the status of it.

Description: The Alpha Wolf of a pack. No matter if you get another Alpha, this one will always rule.
With a shocked face I immediately equip the pet to my pet slot. Once its in, a wolf comes running towards me as if it was looking for me. Once it is next to me I get down on my knee and pat it's head smiling about getting this awesome pet.
I know pets could evolve so I wasnt worried about that since in my past life I was also a Beastmaster. Only thing that I was worried about was the fact that my first pet has Demon strain in it which told me that it would be a wolf god by the final form.
Now that ive got my pet equipped I look at the class I had earned.

Smiling my evil grin as I equip the Class card i do a little bit of a dance of joy seeing as how I got the class I wanted. Then I look back towards the sword I had gotten from the slot machine.

Each character has the same amount of slots but it could be a different type of slot. For Example: I have 3 weapon slots. Once for my main weapon, one for a second weapon and the third slot is for my Beastmaster Orb. i also have 2 ring slots, one feet slot, one leg slot, one chest slot, one arm slot. Where as Another player may have just one weapon slot but have four ring slots. no matter what We all have the same amount of slots, just different areas of the body.
As I'm smiling I click on my last Grandmaster Package.

I press accept button and again the Slot machine pops into my hand after the package unfold itself. Pulling and pushing the lever once again I pray to Odin that I get just as good of a loot as I did the last time.
Once the machine stops I look at what I had gotten again and see one class card, one bow, and an Armor piece. smiling I look into my inventory box and click on the Class Card I had received.

I press decline because even though I earned it, I could give it to a future guildmember who might be interested in the card. So I leave it in my inventory and I press on the Armor piece I had received.

Shocked by the Armor and the set it belongs to I start laughing out loud. Not noticing that I'm getting weird looks from both the NPCs and other bystanders of players I start dancing like a madman. After a while I calm down and look at the last thing I had gotten, the bow.

Before I apply my Chestpiece I want to look at my stats as they are now so I say" Stats" and pop ups my status.

Looking over the Stats page and finding that I find it about where I would have guessed it, I close it and sit down to think of what I should name my new found pet.
After taking a good look at the Wolf I noticed it was mostly black with a white diamond shape on its chest. "Eclipse. That has a nice ring to it. Dont you agree?" I ask the Wolf who responded with a huge waging tail to my face.
I laugh as I push down his back half as I say "okay. Its officially Eclipse. Now do you think we should go kill some Mobs or do a few quests town related?"
Ecplise looks at me and then at the North end gate as to answer my question. I smile at the correct answer because I know of a certain quest that I could do thanks to my gear. once I equip my chestplate on, I run to the gate and set out to find that quest.
