Alone with her thoughts now, Celestiel laid in bed, thinking about all that had been revealed to her through her mother's memories.

She had seen everything too.

Her mother's trials. How she had somehow survived being killed in Nycren and had journeyed through the seas, only to be caught in a storm and be ship wrecked.

That was where she had been stranded in the Enchanted forest. Where she had the met the man she had fallen deeply in love with but was forced to part with, knowing very well that she would never see him again.

And it was all for her sake.

Celestiel felt the weight of the burden she carried. She buried her face in her palms, feeling overwhelmed with everything. Why did it have to be her? Why did she have to be the one chosen? Why did she and her mother have to suffer so much?
