32 Bickering like cats and dogs

On one side, Dusen stood there, utterly flabbergasted. One reason for his disbelief was Naimishi's brutal act, mercilessly taking down a guard to protect this mere peasant. But what hit him like a punch to the gut was the sight of Naimishi pointing her sword directly at him in front of Aashanti guards. It was an insult to him. She is challenging him that if he dared to harm that bastard, she would kill him. Did this peasant mean more to her than him? She gave him the same treatment in the forest as well. She is going to be his future wife, for fuck's sake.

On the other side, Arazhan was struck with the same level of disbelief as Dusen. He watched the girl standing before him, her sword thrust menacingly at the very man who had given the order to seize him.
