44 A Sad betrayal

GRIFFITH'S POV

I was with my father, we had just arrived at the castle. My father had a meeting with King Henry. I was around 16 at this time. My father had started to teach me my expected duties as the future heir of our dukedom so I would visit the palace with him from time to time.

We had just left our carriage and were making our way to the King's wing of the palace. From the main castle building, we had to cross a garden to get to the King's wing. In the garden, I caught a glimpse of King Henry who was seated by a shed, Prince Viktor was with him.

He stood up from his seat and went to one of the servants that were present. he then proceeded to drag her by her hand and out of the shed. He then shoved her so hard that she fell forward onto the ground. From where my father and I stood I could hear the cry that left her mouth.
