146 One Last Way - I

Nesrin was brought out of her dreams by a gentle voice that called her name. The voice caused her memories of past to arrive at an abrupt stop and her heart to race erratically.

A drop of tear trailed down.

"Princess Johanna?"

Lillian was sitting upon a chair, the morning rays of light created a warm glow upon her golden locks. She appeared tense and then finally relaxed when Nesrin opened her eyes.

"Your majesty..." Nesrin greeted but her throat was dry and thoughts still bound by those memories.

She had shared a past with Izekiel then why did he often acted is if they were nothing more than acquaintances. What could have happened after that shadow appeared?

"Are you okay?" Lillian furrowed her brows.

Nesrin nodded with a weak smile and she noticed a warm fleece blanket.

"You were out here in the cold," the empress said, "Even though the palace walls provide warmth, you should not be careless."

"Thanks."
