Chapter 12

Moving home he made sure no one else saw him, by weaving throw the shadows of the trees and houses as well as it being so early in the morning no one had seen him move through the street.

While it took him longer than when he went out, this was because of his extra caution not wanting to be seen realising he was not at all careful when he went out in the morning and someone could have seen him moving at speeds that should not be possible for a normal human he only thought of this point when he met the man because the old man did not even think about him as human from the start he might have had the spider legs out but it was something he was still worried about.

Seeing more people waking up and starting to move in their homes he pushed himself to move faster ' I've got to go home faster as people are starting to wake up, dark might be there but I have not been this far away from him I don't know what might happen.

When he reached a range of about fifty meters away from home he could feel dark and communicate with him a little it was limited but it was better than nothing, he could tell that dark had been trying to communicate with him but as he was too far away from dark his voice could not get to his head, he suddenly knew that his parents had woken up a little while ago and was now tearing apart the house looking for him with worried looks on their faces.

Not knowing what to do as they had checked all the spots he could come out from with no questions asks like the bathroom but now he had to change his ideas he told dark to unlock the back door, ' maybe there is a spot I can still hide' he was so hoping that there was a spot he could hide and come out from but as loud as they where he was sure so many questions would arise as to why he did not come out earlier.

'damn where can I hide' he knew he could not hide in the house so he decided to go sit behind the tree looking at the sky where the sun rose he was not sure if he could get them to come out to find him as he did not want to sit here while they were freaking out about him being missing while he was only less then 20 meters away.

He tried to use dark to catch their eye by moving him quickly past the window to catch their attention but that did not work as anyone did not seem to see dark moving past the window so he started humming hoping they would at least hear him, using dark he extended his shadow out to the side of the tree in a hope that someone would see it soon as he was feeling guilty about what was happening.

Luckily the humming seemed to work as his little sister heard him "MUM, do you hear that someone is humming is that Brother".

As they ran out of the house seeing his shadow that was made longer by dark they came over, seeing him humming and staring out into the sky, they did not know why he was doing this but it seemed as he was looking out into something that they could.

They could not get mad at him as stressed as they were far too confused as to why he was outside at 7 a.m. starting at the sky, they did not know how to approach him while he was doing this as it caught them off guard as what could they say.

Sitting down next to William, Linda stared with blank eyes looking to where William was looking and slowly put her arm around his shoulders and slowly helping him up as he continued to stare blankly into the distance and hum.

It started as an act but as he looked out into the sky he thought back to everything he had gone throw and even the memories of the mercenary he had absorbed along with the greenstone, thinking about it he started to notice he had only scratched the surface of the mercenary's memories and the first thing that came to him when he absorbed the memories where the most intense and memorable as well as any training he had been put throw that was drilled so intensely that it was ingrained into his body.

All sorts of new information flooded into his head like a great tide he was overwhelmed by the pure amount of information it made sense thought as the man that had died were almost 32 which was just under double his total life time meaning all the information that he had not been exposed to was moving into his brain, not just the important and most useful information, all his life was shown even when he was a baby the feeling of learning to walk came into his mind this was stuff that even in his own life he could not remember this from his own life.

The information continued to flow into his mind gradually calming down from a rush to a small flow as the lifetime was slowly running out soon he has shot in the laboratory again, waking up he realised he had lived the mercenaries life not just experienced the greatest part but lived all the slow and awkward moments including his first kiss, first broken bone, the first time being shot and the first time his dad said that he loved him.

William opened his eyes and he saw the ceiling white and empty looking around the room he noticed it was his own it was all familiar but so strange like he had not come back to a place for many years slowly he started to remember his life that he was living and soon the mercenaries memories slowly receaded to the back of his mind as a support no longer taker over his current lives memories.
