1 P R O L O G U E

It's crazy that people can fall out of love. Think this through, you and your partner has been together for almost 5 or 6 years. You've envisioned your future with your partner, having kids, having a big house or making the best out of everything. Then suddenly one normal evening, your partner comes up to you only to know that he/she is cutting ties with you or admitted that he/she had cheated on you .That rigorously hurts so much, you've been through ups and downs, you've talked about your future plans as a couple and all of that vanished into thin air because your partner had the audacity to tell you that " You deserve better " or " I've found someone better ". Like what the hell?

Wanna know what hurts? Being told you deserve better by the person refusing to be better for you, and being cheated on when all you did was loving them. Yes, you got tired, but you never gave up, you never used someone to fill in the gaps of satisfaction or contentment that you weren't able to acquire from your partner.

As what Rupi Kaur said, "It isn't what we left behind that breaks me, it was whatever we could've built if we stayed."

No matter how long you've been together, may it be years or months or weeks or even days, and you're there trying to save the relationship when your partner has let go, you're left with no choice but to do the same cause you're the only one who's hoping that you can still fix things, you're the only one who's holding on.

If you cheat, you're straight up trash. No one cares what the situation is. No one deserves to sleep at night, thinking about why they weren't enough. If the relationship is toxic, just leave. You're not only hurting one person, you're hurting two, the one you're with and the one you used to patch up your holes with.

Why am I telling you this? Find out on the next chapter.
