An Ideal Man

He nodded, "Yes, you heard that right." He replied, sighing. "You're very lucky."

I looked out the window, refusing to believe that confession. It's too good to be true, I've always admired her for being so clever, nice and hard-working but it never reached that level of being in love or having such strong feelings toward her.

"During practice, I would always catch her looking at you," he explained, sadness clear in his tone, "her eyes tells me how much she loves you."

"I can't blame her," he continued, "You are basically everyone's ideal man."

I looked at him, consoling him. "You can still change her mind."

He shookt his head, "It's impossible." He replied, "How do I even do that?"

"Just be you." I said, "nothing beats a man who's being himself."

"Well, can't disagree with that." He replied, smiling. "Do you think I have a chance?"

I patted him, "100% you do." I said, "You are talented and amazing."

He stopped the car in front of our university, giving me a hug and smiled at each other.

"Well, we're here." Kody said, looking at the university, "I can smell home and danger."

I laughed, "Come on let's go." I replied, going out of the car.

We walked towards the main gate, making our way towards the registrar's office so that we can have our enrollment and ask where the dormitory is located.

McKU's dormitory has been recently moved into a new location, not far from the school.

They have extended the student center and decided to take the dormitory's old position.

The auditorium has also been renewed and decorated prestigiously than it was before.

"Why don't they give out the names of our dormmates?" Kody asked, "it makes me very curious and nervous at the same time."

"My dormmate last year was disgusting," he added, "he hides his pizza under his bed for a month, until cockroaches come out under his bed."

"That's a nightmare." I replied, entering the registrar's office.

"It really is." He said, following me inside, "it haunts me to this day."

Kody and I gave out our requirements and filled in the forms Ms. Amelia, the registrar, gave us so that we can be an official student of this university once again.

"May I ask about the dorm's new location?" I asked, giving the forms to her.

"It's located in Makati, precisely in 6740 Dela Rosa Street." Ms. Amelia replied, "It takes 24 mins to get there."

"Thank you." I said, "Kody let's go."

Kody and I went out of the office, heading towards the gate, going to our car.

"Ms. Amelia is so young and gorgeous." He said, fantasizing once again.

"Stop fantasizing." I replied, "She's 40 years old."

"At least I have backup incase if I get harshly rejected," he said, entering the car. "Age is just a number."

I entered the car after him, "Of course, jail is just a room," I replied, "and adultery is not a sin."

"Hey, you know I'm a joker," he smiled, taking back what he said.

"Start the engine." I said, buckling up, "We need to go grocery shopping."

"Is it for free?" He asked, "Or I have to pay for my own?"

I snickered, "Pay for your own."

"I'm not your ATM."

"I thought I could bribe you." He replied as he inserted the key.

"Nope, not this time." I said, "Now let's go."

Kody started the engine and drove off back to Taguig.
