Chapter 2: Weiyi got to know that her father is still alive

Ouyang Xinyu takes my hand, and said to me, "Weiyi, your father is alive. I mean.... he's always been alive."

I jumped on my feet, I suddenly got very angry. I yelled at her, " Alive? My father is alive? How could you keep that secret for nineteenth years? What sort of monster does that?"

Ouyang Xinyu tries to hug me, but I pushed her away.

"No, don't care about me at all." I said while I trying to hold my tears back. Ouyang Xinyu hurriedly tries to explain me, " Weiyi, you know that's not true. I love you like my own daughter."

"Then why did you lied me?" I asked.

Ouyang Xinyu explain to me, " Your father, Lu Hao, has been doing dangerous work in the Silverland. We both felt that it was unsafe for a baby even for a young lady like you."

"We wanted to protect you. We both loves you.... we wanted you to be safe."

I sat down again.

'My father works in Silverland?' I totally dumbfounded. Everything is happening so fast, I can't seem to keep up.

"My father is alive and lives in Silverland." I muttered. My eyes falls on the letters in Aunt Xinyu's hand.

"And..... what are these?" I asked.

Ouyang Xinyu replied bitterly, " These are what have forced me to tell you about the truth."

then she said, " Your father is running a school in The Misty Forest. It's called Sky High Academy." " He wants his daughter to have a proper education, more than what's our small one-room school can provide."

"Sky High Academy is a boarding school. He wants you to come live with him and attend his school. The letter of admission is here."

She hands me over the letter and I read the letter.

"He wants me to join him in The Silverland? Isn't the Misty Forest where all of the Demis hunts?" I asked.

Ouyang Xinyu replied, "You will be safe. He would never have asked to you come to him if it wasn't safe. It's not as if the Demis are at his school or anything. I'm sure it's a safe place."

"When do I need to leave?" I asked.

"He wants you to be there next week." She replied.

"Next week? But the time to travel there..." I said.

"He says he will send a couch. The driver and bodyguard will be armed. You will be safe from Demis." "I promise." she added.

"But I've never been away from the human town... away from Zhen'er.... away from you..." I said sadly and I begin to cry.

'This is all too much. It''s all so sudden! How will I manage?'

But of course I want to meet my father.

Aunt holds me, and tried to comfort me, "Everything gonna be fine. I promised." she said.

I wonder how she can promise something she has no control over. I know she's saying that more to herself than me. She's never even left human town.

"I'll come back here as soon as I'm finished" Weiyi said with a reassuring expression.

Ouyang Xinyu's eyes filled with tears. She hugs Lu Weiyi as She also hug her back.

"Yes, of course you will. This is your home. Everything will be fine." Ouyang Xinyu said.

"You'll meet your father and you'll learn all sorts of new and wonderful things." she said.

"Yes.... you're right. I should think about the good things. not the scary things." Weiyi replied with a smile as her eyes are full of determine.

"That's the right attitude you should have." Ouyang Xinyu said and pat on my shoulder.

She's leaving today. She's kinda reluctant to leave this place, where she is living for past nineteen years and grew up.

'But, I really want to meet my father, wondering what kind of person he is!! Will he like me?'

The coach is her and my luggage have already been stowed away. My childhood friend Zhen'er is holding my hand tightly.

"I know I will never able to see you again, Weiyi. The Demis will eat you in the Misty Forest." Zhen'er said and she start weeping loudly.

"I'll be back after I finished studying over there. Okey now stop crying." I helped her wipe her tearful face.

"Stop crying Zhen'er, you should be happy for me. Nothing going to happen to me. I'm going to a very good school. I'm meeting my only family member, my father. The Demis will be far, far away. And when I'm finished, I'll return and find you here." Weiyi comfort her.

Zhen'er said, " I hope so."

The Coach Driver urged, " We need to get going."

Aunt Xinyu steps forward. I can she that she is trying her best not to cry. She kissed me and said, " Now you have a safe trip. And work hard at your new school."

"I will." I replied he with assure smile, " I will miss you so much."

Aunt Xinyu replied, " I'll miss you too."

I climb up into the coach. The bodyguard sits up with the driver, his gun lying across on his lap. As the coach starts to move, I waves goodbye to my entire life over here.

Only mystery and danger lie ahead.

' I've never been so scared in my life.'

I poke my head out of the window to talk to the two.

"So.... do you ever see Demis in this part of the forest?" Lu Weiyi asked.

Two men look at each other.

"Despite what your story books say, Demis like to keep to themselves," The Coach Driver replied with a chuckle.

Then the bodyguard said, "Hard to spot one unless you're hunting them."

"Some of Human come out and hunt them for sports. I'm not part of all that. It's not right. Mostly, Demis are scared of us."

Coach Drive said with warning, " You better put your head back inside, else tree branches will be your enemy before a Demi and knock up your head."

Both men laugh, I'm glad both of them are friendly, so the journey isn't that boring.

"You'll be fine. Get some sleep, Miss Lu. We'll be at your new school when you will woke up."

I nodded at them and lean against one side of coach and trying to catch my sleep.

While I think about what they said earlier,

'Demis are afraid of humans? I never thought of that before.'

I lay down on the seat and soon fall asleep within minutes.

After some time, I wake up with a start.

'What's happening?'
