Hunters in the town

"Alec, good to see you, friend."

Maria and Alec interrupted their conversation and faced the person who had approached their table.

"It's good to see you too, Sebastian. Especially alive." looked at Maria in the last sentence.

Sebastian looked at Maria and she stood up.

"It's my cue." she looked at Alec "It was very nice to meet you again, Alec. If you need anything, you know where to find me."

The trybrid winked at the youngest and left, purposefully bumping into Sebastian.

"I can't believe you're still her friend." commented the blond guy.

"You have no vote on the matter with regard to my friendships, Sebastian." he replied and sipped his beer.

As soon as she left the establishment, Maria just walked through the French Quarter.

Everything was going smoothly if it wasn't a clumsy bump in the tribe.

"Hey, look where you're going, clumsy". complained the vampire

"Sorry ... Wait. You are Maria Dias." said the young woman

"Yes and you are?" she asked, visibly annoyed.

"Davina Claire. Kol Mikaelson's girlfriend."

Maria laughed at what the witch had said, leaving her confused and irritated.

"What are you laughing at? Is it that hard to believe that I'm dating Kol?"

"No, not a bit. After all, you are a Claire. Everyone knows Kol's history with witches in your family." she smiled "Have a good day, Davina."

Elijah was in the mansion's room, reading a newspaper, when Hayley appeared.

"Can we talk, Elijah?"

"Of course." he replied without taking her eyes off the newspaper.

The hybrid did not like this attitude and took the newspaper from the nobleman, standing in front of him.

"I wanted to apologize for the things you said about Maria. I don't know her and I had no right to judge her without knowing her first."

"I'm glad you woke up, Hayley. Now if you'll excuse me."

The original was about to leave the room, but was stopped by the vampire's voice.

"Is it true what Klaus said? Did you like her?"

"I will not comment on these ridiculous rumors that my brother decided to release." he replied, after a few seconds of silence.

"Klaus Mikaelson." Said a witch surprised by the presence of the hybrid.

"I need you to do something for me."

"Witches don't do favors for vampires, much less for Originals."

Klaus grabbed the witch by the neck and said menacingly.

"But you're going to do it. Otherwise ..." left the sentence in the air.

The fear was visible on the face of the woman who ended up giving in to Klaus's request.

"Okay. What do you want me to do?"

"A location spell."

"Do you have an object there that belongs to the person you want to locate?"

"Of course.. I come prepared." he said, showing a bracelet.

Sofia walked around the house, looking for something.

"Sofia, is everything okay? What's up?" asked Regina, concerned for her friend.

"I can't find my bracelet. I have no idea where I left it."

"Take it easy. I'm sure it's there somewhere, this house is huge. I'll help you look." volunteered

Munich, 2003

"Luke, run away, get out of here." begged Maria, chained.

"No, I won't leave you."

"You need to escape now. You can't help me and I don't want to risk losing you."

"You don't understand, do you?" he looked at the brunette "I won't leave you behind. I love you."

Those words had left Maria without reaction. They loved each other but had never said it to each other. And this was not the right time for that.

Maria had been captured by witches in Germany.

"What the hell are you doing here ?!" shouted a blonde woman, entering the cellar.

"I came to save the woman of my life and if you want to kill her, you have to pass me first."

"As you wish, human."

And with just one movement, the blonde broke Luke's neck, knocking him unconscious.

"NOOOOOOOOOO !!!!"

Anger began to rise within the trybrid, as did its strength.

Hearing the vampire's cry, the other witches entered the basement.

"What have you done?" asked one with black hair

"He was going to ruin our plans."

"He was human ..." whispered Maria.

In the blink of an eye, the supernatural broke free from the chains and ran to the blonde witch, tearing her heart out.

The other witches tried to stop it but it was not enough.

Maria was blinded by anger and nothing could stop her at that moment.

After long minutes of slaughtering her kidnappers, the brunette stopped and dropped to her knees beside Luke.

She took his head and placed it on his lap.

"Sorry. I promised to protect you and I was unable to. I'm really sorry, Luke."

At that moment, covered in the blood of witches, Maria allowed the tears to fall.

Maria sat on one of the square's benches, watching people passing by.

Moments later, a red-haired woman sat down next to her but she did not pay much attention.

"I heard a lot about you." Said the redhead "How powerful you were and everything ... I had to come and confirm it with my own eyes."

Maria looked at the stranger.

"I'm Aurora De Martel. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"I won't say the same. I also heard a lot about you from the last century."

"Through Klaus, I assume."

"Exactly." she looked right into the redhead's eyes "What do you want, Aurora? Go straight to the point."

"I want to help you achieve what you always wanted. Revenge." she smiled "The Mikaelson's had no problem in abandoning you and I guess it wasn't easy for you to accept that. If you join me and my brother, we can bring that family down."

The trybrid examined Aurora's words well. She and her brother wanted her help to destroy their old family.

"They can be the worst people in the world ..." she started "But I will not betray them, allying myself with people who want to end them."

She got up.

"I knew you wouldn't take it easy." said the redhead

"If you knew, why did you come to waste your time with me?"

"You didn't accept it now, but I know that if you think about it, you'll see that joining with me and my brother, will be an asset for you."

The wolf didn't want to hear any more of what Aurora had to say and left.

She wasn't in the mood to deal with an ancient bitch vampire.

Sofia and Regina had not yet found the bracelet.

They were still all over the house looking for it when they heard the doorbell ring.

"Keep seeing there that I will attend." said Ginny.

She walked to the front door and was static as soon as she opened it.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, trying not to show any fear.

"Regina? Who is it?" Sofia approached and stopped when she saw him.

"I think this is yours." Said the guest, waving the bracelet in the air and shooting it at the human.

"What do you want here, Klaus?"

"Is Maria at home? I need to speak to her in private."

"She is not here. She left a few hours ago."

Klaus looked at the humans and realized they weren't lying. Getting there had been a waste of time. At least he found out where the trybrid lived.

"Do you want to leave a message?" asked Sofia.

"No. I will give Maria the message as soon as I find her."

He turned away and quickly left the vision of the two friends.

"This guy is weird." commented Regina.

"Quite."

Rebekah entered the room that used to be Maria's and observed everything. He took a picture frame, where there was a black and white photo of the two.

New Orleans, 1917

"I don't want to take pictures, Bekah." complained Maria.

"Don't be boring, little witch. Just a photo to remember." said the blonde, staring at her friend "Elijah, take a picture of us."

The wolf eventually surrendered. She knew the original too well to know that it was not worth arguing with.

"You miss her, don't you?" asked Elijah, leaning against the doorjamb.

"Of course I do. She was my best friend and until a few days ago I thought she was dead. But she is not."

Rebekah hugged her brother.

"It's all our fault. We have to compensate for abandoning it."

"I know, Rebekah. But we have to accept that she is not the same person that we used to know. Maria has grown and changed. We just have to accept it." commented the nobleman.

"I know. I want my best friend back and I will do anything to get it."

"I don't trust her, Freya. I know I apologized to Elijah and admitted that it was wrong to judge her before I met her, but I can't seem to like her." Hayley admitted, putting Hope to sleep.

"I understand, Hayley. But for now, we can't do anything. We have to wait for the right moment."

"And in the meantime she does something and puts our family at risk. I've already wasted too much time with my daughter and I don't intend to waste any more."

The blonde and the brunette looked at each other.

The two shared a negative opinion about the hybrid, which had brought them closer together in the last few days.

"You won't. We will prove that this woman poses a threat to our family."

The bell at Maria, Sofia and Regina's house rang again.

Sofia opened the door and found a man in a suit.

"Goodnight. I'm Elijah Mikaelson. Is Maria there?"

"No. She hasn't come back yet. We tried to call but she didn't answer."

"Should I worry?"

Maria was walking through the forest near her mansion.

She liked to walk in the woods, in the trees. For some reason it made her feel alive.

She heard footsteps near her and when she turned to see what was going on, she was eventually hit by 3 wooden bullets. She was strong but a wooden bullet made any vampire weak, let alone three bullets.

She tried to stay strong and saw someone approach.

"When they told us that the tribe was in New Orleans, we didn't want to believe it. We had to come and confirm it with our own eyes."

It was a man and he had a gun in his hand. Behind him came two more humans, also with weapons.

Hunters.

The supernatural was too weak. She couldn't even remember a spell to ward them off at that moment.

Was it now? Had the end of the line reached her? Was he going to die at the hands of hunters?

"I thought I would have an epic death at least." she said, her voice weak.

But it was then that, out of the shadows, a hero appeared to save her.

The three hunters fell lifeless to the ground.

The person who had come to rescue Maria approached her, so she could recognize who she was.

"Let me help."

"Don't touch me, Niklaus."

"Don't be strong and let me take those bullets."

She finally gave in and Klaus removed the wooden bullets from the body of the former lover.

He picked her up, even though the woman struggled with it.

"I already got you, love. There is no point in contradicting it."

"If you tell anyone about this, I'll find a way to kill you myself." she said hoarsely and almost closing her eyes "I hate you so much, Niklaus Mikaelson." she spoke in a last effort before closing his eyes.

The house of the trybrid was not far from there, so the hybrid took her until there.

Arriving at the destination, he found Elijah at the door of her house.

The nobleman turned to his brother and faced that image, as Nik approached.
