"Are you gonna go camping?" The sudden voice startled the boy from his deep thoughts.

"Yah! What are you doing here?!" He exclaimed with his hands in his chest. The brunette chuckled at how ridiculous he looks right now.

"Duh! Am I not allowed to shop here?" Lauren replied earning her a glare from him.

"If I said you aren't, Would you not come here? " He savagely said as he rolls his eyes at her.

"Whatever, Walker." Lauren nonchalantly said as she returns her gaze at the cart full of junk foods.

"What's with the packs of noodles?" She asked, pointing at the cart.

Ethan covered the cart as if it can change the fact that the brunette already saw it.

"Isn't it obvious? It's my stock." Ethan replied. "I just started and cup noodles are my necessity" He added.

Lauren hummed as she scans the boy's whole from top to bottom. Ethan squinted his eyes as he saw what's the girl doing.

"Do you have a death wish? No wonder you're skinny. All you eat is that." Lauren conclude.

" FYI, I just don't eat THAT. I also eat... " Ethan tried to defend himself. But he's out of words.

" You also eat what? Fast food?" Lauren asked that made the boy close his mouth.

The brunette shakes her head in disbelief. "You won't reach 40 years of your life if you continue this unhealthy lifestyle of yours. " Lauren advised.

Ethan on the other hand just staring at his feet. Doesn't know what to say.

Lauren Sighed. "You're hopeless, Tsk tsk tsk. Should I enlist you to the feeding program?" She mocked earning her cold stare.

"Excuse me, I have money. Don't need to be there." Ethan replied. " Yeah, yeah. Whatever, Q-tip." Lauren said.

The brunette drags Ethan's cart to the side and empty it. "Yah! What are you doing?" Ethan asked. Lauren just shrugged.

"Come with me, We need to get you some real food." Lauren stated before leaving the poor boy dumbfounded.

Lauren leads the way, Ethan behind her. The boy doesn't know why he's following the brunette. When he can just ditch her.

"Hey hey, What do you think you're doing?" Lauren called Ethan reaching a container of Pringles. "What? Can't I even get a single chip?" Ethan whined.

"Hmmm, Fine. But just that one." Lauren agreed. "Yes, Finally!" Ethan celebrated and shoot his pringles at the cart.

"Okay, this what NECESSITIES mean. I'll leave the toiletries on you. Since that's your personal belongings." Lauren informed him as she points the food such as eggs, Hotdogs, Meat, Etc. " At least tell me. you know how to fry." she asked.

"I guess I can." Ethan doubtingly replied. " Well if you can't, then tell it to your maid." Lauren suggested. Ethan smiled, Making her wince.

"I told you to stop smiling, you look weird." Lauren stated with a straight face. " I'm smiling cause I don't have maids." Ethan explained.

"Seriously?" She asked, Ethan just responded with a nod. "Then what do you eat?" Lauren asked.

"Hehe, I order food online." Ethan replied as gave distance between them, Incase the brunette hit him.

"You're unbelievable. I won't be surprised if you die because of kidney failure." Lauren murmured.

Both of them just walk as they scan the place. In case they forgot something.

Speaking of forget, I guess Lauren forgot that she has a mother waiting...

Silence covered them as always, They can't keep to make their conversation flow. Lauren thought that maybe talking to him can lessen the awkwardness between them.

"Btw, Why do you live alone?" Lauren asked making Ethan stiff. He didn't expect the question. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked~"

"No, it's fine." Ethan stated. "Even I'm asking myself." He added.

Lauren can't help to bite her lips. She doesn't know that it's something serious.

"You don't have to answer it if you aren't comfortable." Lauren stated. " Let's just bring this to the counter so you can go home." She added.

A smile formed on Ethan's lips when he heard her say that. It was the first time they had a decent conversation.

No grudge, No bickering. Just a simple conversation.

"Don't worry, Princess. One day you'll know." He thought as he watches her pushing the cart.

"Will you be able to carry all these?" Lauren asked as she got shocked at how plenty they bought.

"Actually, I'm not sure." Ethan scratched his nape. He brought Duke, So he doesn't know how would he be able to take all of these at home.

"What about~" Lauren was cut by her ringtone. Her eyes grew wide when she saw who it was. "Mom! Oh my God, I'm so sorry!" She exclaimed.

Ethan's forehead furrow at Lauren's reaction. " Yes, I'm sorry. I'm just here at counter 9." She replied to the other line.

Ethan got startled when he saw Lauren suddenly wave her hands. He turns around to see who it was. "Lauren! You little... You made me worried!" Her mother scolded.

" I'm sorry, I forgot. I just helped a friend so it slipped my mind. Why didn't you called me sooner?" Lauren asked.

" Don't change the topic, Did you get what I told you to get?" her mother asked. Lauren nodded then show the plastic bag she's holding.

Ethan coughed, Catching both of the ladies' attention. "Oh, Right. Mom this is Walker, My classmate." Lauren introduced.

"Ethan! Omo, You've grown up too much." Her mother exclaimed as she cups Ethan's face for better inspection.

"Wait... You know him?" Lauren asked. Confusion is written all over her face.

"Well yes, I do." Her mother briefly said.

"Am I the only one who doesn't know him?" Lauren asked another. Her mother chuckled. " Don't worry dear, Eventually you will." her mother's statement made her confusion even worse.

"Now go pay for ours, I'll wait for you at the bench." Her mother instructed, Lauren groaned. She took her mother's card and drag the cart to the counter.

As Lauren waits in line, Her gaze was focused on her mother and classmate. "Why do they seem close? Why does almost everyone I know, Know you, Walker?" She asked herself as she tries to make herself a conclusion.

Lauren was deep in her thoughts, She didn't notice that it was her turn. "Ahm... Miss? Hello?" The cashier waved her hands in front of her face to grab her attention.

"Huh? What is it?" Lauren asked still not herself? "Can you please move closer so I can punch it properly?" The cashier stated.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Here." Lauren started to transfer the products one by one to the counter.

As soon as she finished transferring it, The cashier asked for the payment. "That would be 8673php."

"Oh, here. I'll use the card. " Lauren handed the card to the lady and after a few swipe and sign. She called her mom and told her it's done.

"Great! Let's go home I still need to prepare our dinner." Her mother said.

Lauren hummed. "Ethan, why don't you join us for dinner? I'm gonna cook pasta." Her mother added. Making her daughter shocked.

Lauren didn't think that he might still be here. "I don't know, Tita Liana. I still have to drop these at my house." Ethan declined.

"it's okay, leave it to me. I'll tell Leo to bring it there. Not a problem." Liana stated. Ethan shot a glance at the brunette, Asking if it's okay.

Lauren just nodded. "So... What? are you coming?" Liana repeated.

"I'll be delighted to come." Ethan accepted.
